After updating iTunes and iPhone 3gs AppleMobileDeviceService.exe initializes and takes up 50% of CPU
After updating iTunes and iPhone 3gs AppleMobileDeviceService.exe has been taking over 50% of my CPU. When i attempt to sync my iPhone iTunes hanges on backing up. I have uninstalled all the apple software and reintalled it. This fixed the problem until QuickTime updated. Immediately following the update Apple...Services.exe went haywire agian. Any help?
Thanks wjosten. I've now been through all this, and there was a lot of old 3d party phone stuff to remove.
However, I have not progressed really. Any other thoughts on this please?

Please can someone assist me on what to do on the following;
After update of my iphone 3GS ios. I found out that my iphone has returned back to factory setting and it shows No Service on the top left corner of my iphone screen. It equally shows on the screen that I have to set up the iphone before using it again. I followed the on screen display then get connected to a WiFi, but the response I was getting is that the Set up Server cannot be contacted please try again latter. I chose the option of using itune through my Laptop. The response I was getting here is that my iphone cannot be connected the itune store because my iphone was not found.
I am regretting why I updated the ios. Please, can someone advise me on what to do please.

It sounds like there’s an issue with Settings, the Notes app entry isn’t showing up as expected. Take a look at the article linked below and try restarting your iPhone 3GS.

Exception processing message 0xc0000013 after updating itunes and Quicktime
After updating itunes and Quicktime, every time I remove a CD from my DVD drives I get an error saying no disk exception processing message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x759f023c 0x87f51934 0x759f023c 0x759f023c.
I tried doing a restore to a time before that update and that didn't seem to help. It just gave me different parameters.
I'm using Windows Vista and this is driving me nuts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.I also have the same problems as you guys after installing Corel Painshop Pro X12. I went into the task list and stop the CorelIOMonitor process and then the problem went away. I found out that you can disable this from starting up using System Configuration tool via Start -> Run -> msconfig
. It's an interm solution untell they fix it. Maybe someone needs to notify Corel or Apple to fix this problem. -

Press and hold power button for up to 30 seconds. Remove battery and reinsert then repeat.

Porblem: 3Gs not recognised AT ALL after updating itunes and trying to update phone
Have updated itunes and tried to update Iphone 3gs. Now I have connect to itunes display on iphone, and when I connect, I get "new hardware not recognized", "iphone in recovery mode", and device does not come up in itunes. In device manager "?!" are shown in "other devices" next to "iphone in recover mode".
Any ideas? I've been trying all day to fix this.
Currrently when I plug in the Iphone, the computer completely ignores it and no reaction, so seems to have got a bit worse!
I'm using PC, Win XP SP2.
I've tried all my USB ports, and various fixes I've found online, but happy to keep trying them if you have any ideas???!?!!?!

Missing music after updating iTunes and iPhone os
After updating to the latest iTunes, I have lost huge amounts of music, and I can't find them on my computer at all. We wanted to install the latest OS on our phones, and to do so, you need the latest itunes version. After intalling the latest itunes, and subsequently the latest software for the iphones, a large amount of the music has disappeared. It has all come off of the iMac (which holds our entire library) and includes a mixture of purchased from two different accounts and songs from CDs that have been imported.
I have tried searching for the files on my computer and they cannot be located. Stranger still, I have Apple's Time Machine and have looked back to before the update, and they aren't there either, which is completely bazaar as they are in the itunes library and we used to listen to them on this computer? Is it possible that the files names have become corrupt and the tracks are there but don't associate with the names?

After updating iTunes and rebooting MacBook Pro does not reboot.
So after installing the update of the new iTunes the system needed to reboot. Screen remains black, battery is full and even with connection to the power network. When pressing the power button you hear the system starts working but stops after unpressing the power button. Also no sound of any HDD or other lights start working (apart from the green power light on the battery at the back / power network) Also the small white light next to the screen opener just goes on for 3 seconds or something. My MacBook Pro is from October 2008 and had further all available updates and 4GB of RAM. Anyone a solution?

If I was in your shoes, I would choose to restore the iPhone with iTunes and then choose to NOT restore a previous backup. I'd then go on to set up the phone as though it were totally new, and choose the stuff to load onto it.
The reason I'd go through that trouble.. even though it meant losing a lot of settings and having to set stuff up again .. is because I wasn't sure I could trust the backup that it's restoring from.
If you have trouble again after doing the fresh reload -- especially if it's soon after you do it -- you may have a hardware issue with the phone, such as faulty flash memory or a processor chip that's failing. If that's the case, you'll want to consider your repair/replacement options at that point. -

i tried to update my jailbroken iphone 3gs to iOS 6 and i tried to activate it using redsn0w it uploaded but the phone didn't activate, then i tried to restore it in iTunes and it also wasn't working it shows 3194 error. Please help!

Hi everyone, I just got the new iOS5 update for my iPhone 3GS. I receive a message saying that "Your SMS mailbox is full. New messages cannot be recieved until you delete some messages." I deleted all of my messages but still could not receive texts after restoring and restarting my phone. Can anything be done to remedy this??? Thanks!

It sounds like you bough the song only, not the song and the ringtone.
Ringtones via itunes are available in the U.S. only.
In the U.S. to make a ringtone you:
Buy the song with a bell - 99 cents
Find the song in your library and click the bell
This bring up the editor.
You edit the song to the portion you want.
Then click buy to purchase the ringtone - another 99 cents.
Then it shows up in ringtones and you can sync.
As I said, this method of creating ringtones is available in the U.S. only.
There are, however, many ways to make ringtones:

Updated itunes and getting errors messages: iTunes.exe-Entry Point Not Found
After updating itunes, I get the message iTunes.exe-Entry Point Not Found. The procedure entry point AVCFPlayerEnableHardwareAcceleratedVideoDecoderKey could not be located in the dynamic library AVFoundationCF.dll.
Then another error message tells me: iTunes not installed correctly. Please reinstall. Error 7 (Windows error 127). I've tried to repair which looks successful until I try the desktop shortcut as well as going into the exe file in program files. Still the same message. Operating a windows XP service pack 3 with 32 bit. Help would be most appreciated.--No problems with itunes until this recent update.iTunes.exe-Entry Point Not Found. Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I use a Sony FX1. My best capture is at 1080i or 720p. I've recently been recording at a higher shutter speed and am getting improved footage. I note that FCP has an output option of 1080p - 30. Is this only half as good as the new monitors can show?
