After updating my iPad I have to restart it two or three times a day to access my mail or the internet. Why?
My wife has not updated her iPad yet and no problems with mail or internet. This leads me to believe it's not a router or provider problem but a problem with my IPad.

Try a reset ...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
If that didn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
You will have to re enter the Wi-Fi password.

    If you don't get sound in any apps then have you tried a soft-reset to see if you get sounds after the iPad has restarted ? If that doesn't fix it then do you get sound via headphones - if you do then you coul try inserting/removing headphones and see if the fixes it

Prior to the update, my battery life lasted me at least a full day.  We have several phones in our office and the ones that have updated (4) now have issue holding a charge/battery life. I really liked this phone and can not believe that you are now going to charge us $79 a battery to fix what is most definately a problem with your latest update.  I know other people outside of our company that are having the same problem. Not to mention when I called AT&T it was confirmed to me that they are hearing the same issue and then some from other customers as well.  Your own people, once I talked to them earlier today, told me they are showing a history of issues that are showing up after the update was put in place. Of course she tried to say, "Maybe the age of the battery and the update both contributed".  Whatever. 
    I want you all to know how disappointed I am in your company for the handling of this issue.  I always thought "Apple" was the line I didn't have to worry about having any types of issue. And that you all would stand behined your product 100%. Now I am not so sure.   
    I would love to hear back from your company on how you perceive the issue with all of these phones that prior to the update didn't have any issues and how after the update THEY ARE NOW having issues.  I do not believe this was an issue due to the age of a battery and that was pretty lame to say so.  It was fine and now its not.
    Please feel free to contact me and help me figure out a way to pay for all of the batteries that will be needed for our company to contiue doing business as needed.

    Since updating to latest iOS safari fails several times a day.
    1. Just quits.
    2. The items on the reading list will not delete after visited.
    3. The screens goes grey when I go to email a reference.
    Is the a solution other the restarting the iPad or is this something apple ought to fix?

    See if the following help.
    Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data (and Clear History)
    If that doesn't work then try closing Safari completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    If you can't find it and it hasn't been restricted as suggested by stedman1, You can reset the home screen layout and the icon will reappear - but the home screen will return to the way that it looked when you first activated your iPad.
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout.

    As far as automatic update, the iOS cannot be updated without user intervention, so it could not have been automatically updated.
    You need to provide more information about your mail. Does this mean you cannot access the Mail app, you cannot download mail, or what? Not sure why you cannot access the cookies setting in Safari. Go to Settings>Safari>Block Cookies>set to what  you want.
    Problems with 3rd party Bluetooth devices, such as car audio, etc., generally has to do with vehicle manufacturers not providing updates to match the current Bluetooth stacks that are found in today's phones. You can go into the phone and remove the pairing for the car, and then go into car settings and remove the iphone. Then put both devices back into pairing mode and attempt to connect them again.     I am experiencing the same thing. My Kindle cloud reader (icon/shortcut placed on my iPad screen) was working fine before I updated to ios7. I can go to Amazon's website and directly log into the cloud reader and it works fine, but when I make a copy/shortcut onto my iPad's screen (from Safari), and try to login, the login screen just sits there doing nothing. I can even put in a false username and password, hit enter, and the login screen just sits there.  Knowing that Apple has made life as difficult as it can for Amazon/Kindle ( demanding outrageous fees for user to purchase books directly through the Kindle app), I wonder if the ios7 was designed to give kindle cloud readers trouble. Note, you could always login to the cloud reader directly from the amazon site, purchase the books, then use the actual kindle reader ( where thanks to Apple you can't purchase books) to read the books.

    I realize that installing apps is not the problem. Installing another app from the app store is a recommended troubleshooting tip from Apple if all of the third party apps will not open. It resets your iTunes authorization when you install the app because you have to enter your password.
    If you didn't install another app try it. Read this support article as well.

    Try this as well. Quit all apps, reset the iPad.
    Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom.     After updating my iPad Air 2 to iOS 8.3, it no longer works.  It is a 64 GB model.
    The opening screen is the same as when I first starting using it, with "welcome" in various languages.
    I have gone through the operations requested, iCloud, etc. but at the very end I get my home screen for about 1 second, then the machine shuts down.
    I backed up and synced the iPad before installing iOS 8.3, and tried a restore, but it made no difference.
    You guys out there have never let me down yet!  I hope you can help!

    You're not alone in this problem.  My iPad Mini 3 was working great until the iOS 8.3 update, which kicked into the same loop you're describing.  Sounds like at least one person has had luck with factory restore.  Check out the thread here:  Anyone else seeing issue with iOS 8.3 update on iPad Mini 3?

    There are numerous reports of this issue happening on iPhones. It may be a glitch that will need a new update. Some find that a full shut-down and restart fixes that problem, but not always.

    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.
