After updating my iPhone 3GS to IOS 6.1.3, my iPhone no longer charges by wall or connected to my computer, it doesn't even start itunes, meaning I cannot restore software, anything that can be done without returning the phone?

I updated the phone, and now, it won't charge through the wall charger, or through connecting to my PC. It doesn't even launch itunes or register it has connected. But the phone still palys music through my docking station. HELP!?

I have the same problem and I do anything you can imagine. If you leave your phone about two or three days and after that plug in it your phone will be power on but your problem doesn't fix. I tried to restore as a new phone, reset all my settings and also I contacted Apple Support but I couldn't fix it. I think that it would be a software issue because it occurred right after iOS 6.1.3 update. It look likes that we have only two choice. First choice is waiting until Apple release next iOS update and check it in our phones, and the other choice is visiting an Apple retail store to diagnostic our phones for hardware issue.

when you say that your disc drive is damaged, do you mean your MacBook Pro’s hard disk drive, or do you mean its SuperDrive (the CD/DVD drive)?
When you’d updated your MacBook Pro to Mavericks, did the installation succeed, and subsequently freeze up? Or did it freeze up during the Mavericks installation?
Which version of OS X was installed on your MacBook Pro before you’d installed Mavericks?
Are you currently able to boot into the Mavericks recovery partition? To see if you can do so, hold down a Command key and the R key while starting up your MacBook Pro.

Pager app that can be viewed without unlocking the phone

I am looking for a pager app where the pages can be viewed without a person unlocking the phone or knowing the passcode to unlock. A doctor I work for wants his pages to come through to hs phone, but he doesn't want the nurses and others who check the pages for him to be able to go through his phone and see his personal information such as texts and emails. Is there any kind of app that would allow viewing of only the pages sent to him without unlocking the phone and giving multiple people access to any information in the phone? Currently, he just carries a pager as well as his phone which is not ideal. Thank you!

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, or by a peripheral device.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output andWi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

We're sorry to hear that your phone isn't working. It's very important to have a functioning touchscreen! Let's explore your options OK? If the phone is taken to a store, troubleshooting can indeed be done. The store representative can even contact us while you're there. Do you have insurance on the device? Or, do you maybe have a prior vzw device that can be activated until the upgrade is available? You can also check your My Verizon account to see if your line( or another line on the account) is eligible for an upgrade. VZW always has options for you.

Our iOS devices use a capacitive touch screen and with it being winter in most places, a buildup of static electricity can cause the touch screen to act erratic. Start with closing all applications open in multitasking and power cycling the device. If using a screen protector, remove it and test without it installed. Some cases that include a screen protector can cause this issue as well. Try the remainder of the steps in the attached article below. If the issue persists, a restore as new may been needed. Make sure to backup your data prior to a restore.

Turn it off and stick it in a cup of rice for 1-2 days, making sure it is completely submerged in the rice. This will draw out the moisture.

After updating my iphone 3G and my ipotouch 3G with ios5, the apple remote controls (the white and the aluminium one) doesn´t react when iphone or ipod are docked at the universal dock. The remote controls both still work with my Macbook, therefore it must be a problem with the dock. I have tried to connect both with the dock (Menu + left for 6 seconds) but it doesn´t help. Further the volume control doesn´t react on the iphone and the ipod when they are docked. Neither the one on the touchscreen nor the buttons. The day before the update everything was fine. Anyone any idea?

From just blindly looking at this particular query, there doesn't seem any obvious reason why an index couldn't be extended to cover all the columns specified in the where clause.
It might not help too much -> explain plan is required first really before blindly guessing.
Obviously, there's no point having an order by and a rownum (unless you wanted to do the order by before the rownum in an outer select) - I assume this is just a Hibernatism.

Prior to starting the update you took a backup ? If not then it's now too late to do so, you will need to reset the iPad back to factory defaults and you can then restore to your last backup or resync your content.

- Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

If it was legitimately unlocked then updating it will not re-lock it. It will be re-locked only if it was unlocked by hacking it.
That error message, however, does not mean it is locked. It means that iTunes could not verify the locked state because it could not communicate with Apple's activation database at gs.apple.com. There are common reasons that the server connection fails:
1. Your router, antivirus or firewall is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. You don't have a WiFi connection if you updated on the phone and not with a computer.
3. If you updated using your computer and it was used to hack, unlock or jailbreak some iOS device in the past (not necessarily the iPhone with the problem) and the network database on the computer is corrupted.
