Via iCloud on Wi-Fi about ten minutes at the most. Via iTunes, about the same.
Reset your iPhone.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
Then tap Settings > General > About then scroll to Version. If it says: 7.1.2 then the update was complete.

How do I restore iphone 3G stuck at silver Apple screen (1603)?
I was replacing a broken screen on my iphone 3G-8 gig with a new one when I saw the screen flash as I connected cable #3. The Silver Apple logo came up and would not go back to the phone screen saver. I tried to restore under iTunes, it went part way and stopped, unrestored. Now, when I try to restore it, the busy indicator shows for 5 minutes and then it throws an error 1603... I am at a loss on how to unbrick it...(Good AT&T simms card, full battery, deleted ipsw and installed newest ipsw version into iTunes on Intel core 2 duo iMac, 2007 model with 2.0 cpu, 3 gigs ram, Snow Leopard)
Any suggestions on a fix? MikeOh, they know! I've had all of the above issues, tried every and all remedies several times, even uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. My phone froze up totally for over 24 hours after several attempts to sync and itunes closed then I had to reset, not even an apple logo, just a dim lit screen. Went to the genius bar, they replaced my phone. The tech said apple knows and is working on it.
Note: tried to book an appointment online, none available so I went and signed the standby list.
Luckily someone didn't show up, because they said some people wait for hours.
The new one is doing the same thing. I have yet to sync fully. my contacts & calendar sync OK, a few apps, beyond that nothing-no music, photos, podcasts, ringtones. Itunes hangs during syncing an application and iphone times out. the only option is to close itunes and reset the phone. Upon fully reset, maybe 1 or 2 apps are installed, nothing else. Resetting takes forever, it has frozen again with the apple logo for about 12 hours, and usually about 10-30 min each reset. I have restored the new one twice. Problem is, when it freezes up or times out, itunes won't recognize the iphone at all, it says no iphone detected.
I am now going to restore the phone again, and not attempt to install any apps until this issue is resolved. I have already spent hours on this, and really tried everything. I would rather have my music, ringtones, photos, podcasts etc than a few apps. Shame, because i've spend at least $50 in addition to numerous free apps.
Side note: I scheduled another appointment at the genius bar when my phone was out of commission for 12 hours, they are booked for three days in advance so the issue is still widespread. Luckily I was able to finally get itunes to recognize my phone and restore.

MBP OS Leopard update that now hangs at the grey apple screen
I ran software update for OS Leopard on my MBP yesterday and it has been in a continuous boot cycle that never gets past the grey Apple screen. The only sign of life is that periodically it will make the boot noise and the computer remains quite warm. I have tried shutting down completely and then rebooting in safe mode and also rebooting using the OS disk but I'm pretty sure the Leopard OS disk doesn't work as a boot disk. So my first issue is to try and fix the boot problem. The second is that clever me didn't back up before hand so I am looking at trying to connect by firewire to my iMac and try and recover some files... given the issue would this be possible?

I have Iphone 4s and recently purchased Apple TV, first time of use I tried in My Hotel room using the Hotel Network (no web page to log on just password) without success for Airplay as I belive that they did some of restriction to they network, Apple TV worked fine in the hotel showed everything except Airplay connection with My iPhone 4S. I tried later on the same day using my friend home network it work fine, directly the Airplay icon appear in my iphone.
So check your network if there any restriction.

i restored and updated my iphone 4 to the latest version of 5.1.1 and after that when i connect my mobile to i tunes all i see is a big rectangle and a apple logo on left and a small lock on right side please help me fix this problem.I sloved this issue by resting my phone from settings>general>reset>reset all settings...the problem will be fixed

I enter my email address (what is listed everywhere as my ID) and it does not recognize that. I wondered if it is saved somewhere as something different so I went online to find it. When I go to the support page and request my apple ID, it takes me in circles to reset my password but never tells me my ID. HELP!

Do as the diagram indicates: Connect your iPhone to your computer. Open iTunes on the computer and restore your device.

First try Resetting it: Hold down the home and sleep button, ignore the red OFF slider, wait for the Apple logo then let go.
If that does not work, Restore your iPhone in iTunes from your backup.
If that still does not fix it, Restore your iPhone and a new phone (not from backup) and see how it works. If it is doing fine you have a app you are using that is probably causing your problem. Load them one and a time until the problems recur and you will have found the one that is a problem. -
