Has anybody experienced missing sent emails after updating their iPhone to IOS 5.0? Mail composed on phone appears to send but is never delivered nor does it show in sent items. Using Exchange 2010. Any thoughts??
@Satterp
Not sure if you were responding to me or OP - my iPhone is on 5.1. The OP at the time of writing was on 5.0.1.
Also, the OP and I had setup our Hotmail as an Exchange server (similar to IMAP), not POP3. -
After update my iPhone 4 iOS to 5.0.1 the. Bettery gone so bad. Every 1% goes every minute while browsing. Also system is very slow and 3G. Connectivity gone very poor. I want to go back to ios 4.3.4 until these problem are resolved. Please help.
Just look around the forum posts. Your issue is the number one problem reported by users. There are many suggestions found, some work for some users, others do not.
Some users have reported no battery problems after the upgrade. Others have improved performance after upgrading to 5.0.1 from 5.0. YMMV.
Many of the posts offer suggestions about changing various settings - there are many that affect the battery life.
Once you upgrade the iOS on a device, you cannot go back to a previous version. -

Iphone is black and phone won't charge
My iphone screen is black and when I try to charge the phone it won't charge. The screen just stays black
Charge with the AC adaptor for at least 30 minutes, then reset the phone (no data loss): press both the home and power buttons for up to 1 minute, releasing when the Apple logo appears.

After downloading and installing the update iOS 6.0 on my iPhone 4S, my bluetooth (Sony BT100CX) doesn't play Stereo anymore. It worked fine before the update, can some one help me. After some reading on the Apple web site, as suggested I try to unpair the iPhone and my BT100CX and repairing them, still didn't work
I found the answer, the update change the setting in "General/Accessibility" and put it on Mono Audio mode, just needed to turn off the Mono Audio and put the output level to the middle.

hi, I managed to update both Itunes and my ios to the latest versions (10.5 and 5 respectively). I'm unable to see the "Sync over wifi" option in itunes. Can anyone help?
Maybe that's why I got lucky? I have 10.7.2. I have to tell you howeer that I did not check any check box in settings on the Notebook to enable Wifi sync, or in iTunes on the notebook. I did have options when setting up the iPad and I selected sync with computer rather than back up to cloud. Maybe that is another difference? I feel feel fortunate that as I type this my iPad is syncing over wifi and you're all having trouble.
Just to confirm I have iTunes 10.5 MacOSX 10.7.2 and iOS5 installed on the iPad. I'm going to dive in and do the phone now too. I will report any troubles, or pay more careful attention when the iCloud settings and set up come on the screen. Maybe I did something else I don't remember. -
pls, help
I think what he means, is when you know how when you update your phone, itunes has to restore your last back-up back onto the iphone, or ipod, and it it wont let this person. If so, im having this problem myself, i lost all my contacts and data saved on one of my back ups because itunes refuses to restore my phone from before the update, my 3GS went from 4.3.5 to 5.0.1. I hope my problem is the same here, but i have no solutions.
Im not supporting the idea, but ive heard that jailbreaks can Force the iphone to restore, but thats only what ive heard. sorry if my problem isnt the same. and sorry i couldnt provide a solution :/ -

How can i get rid of the iTunes logo after updating my iPhone 4 to the iOS 6
How can I get rid of the iTunes logo after updating my iPhone to iOS 6
Absolute garbage.
This abysmal excuse "Always have been built in apps" is irrelevant. NOTHING should be tied to the OS of even
a phone so tightly that you can't get rid of it. NONE of the apple crap apps do I use, but they use space on MY phone.
I want the **** things gone. -
After updating my iPhone to IOS 6.1.2, phone will not load or sync with itunes. When syncin it gets stuck on waiting for changes to be applied. What should I do?
"What should I do?" -- Just wait a few hours and your battery will drain out. Then you won't have to worry about loading or syncing tunes.
Hellooo??? Apple??? Are you out there??? Two months and counting now, and still no fix for the 6.1.2 battery-drain problem. Hellooooo???? -
After updating my iphone 5s ios 7 to ios 7.0.5, i have lost my 3 icons-camera,itunes and videos.
Also i have lost 2 icons in control center -calculator and camera respectively.
can some help me...?
i have tried every thing from restoring to reseting....but was all in vain.Scott Crawley wrote:
But would that still explain why I can't boot into single user mode?
Even before getting to single user mode access and the like the boot process calls on the OS, Scott (in the form of the "BootX" bootloader, which lives at System/Library/CoreServices/BootX.)
You can read more about the boot sequence used in OSX at http://www.kernelthread.com/mac/osx/arch_boot.html and http://www.kernelthread.com/mac/osx/arch_startup.html
These may not be quite up to date, as they were written when Macs were running on PPC chips rather than intel, but essentially the sequence of events is much the same.
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/MacOSX/Conceptual/BPSystemStartup/BPSys temStartup.html should fill in any changes with the new architecture

After updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.1 it will not connect to the wifi network at work even though it recognizes it. It however still automatically connects to the network at home (this is the network I used to update the phone). My iPad however does not seem to have any problem connecting. I have restared the phone, toggled the router, re-entered the network password but there's still no connection.
When your device is trying to connect to the work Wi-Fi network, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then tap on the name of the Netowrk that she is having trouble with. Then tap on forget this network. Let the device attempt to connect again and make absolutely sure she is trying to connect to the work network and not a nearby network, then make absolutely sure the password is entered correctly.

My camera roll will not restore from iCloud after updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 6. It shows I have 1.7 gigs of photos stored on camera roll but none are appearing on my phone. Everything else restored from iCloud. When I go to iCloud.com my photostream is not there.
A response I put together from another post. Also going into iTunes and choosing to sync phone to iCloud then back "this computer" sometimes works.
First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.
Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.
I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.
From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.
There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC
Hope this helps.
