After updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 6.1.3 no sound will come out from my earphones , the weirded thing is I can function everything from earphones even voice command but no sound will come out I tried the earphones on another device they function great
It's a sad thing to happen but updating to iOS 6.1.3 made sound go away from my earphones tried several ones and none worked but the phone react to earphone commands and mic but won't bring out sounds and all earphones are working perfectly on other devices and I devices , please help me out with this issue
You say you have no sound in the earphones. Often that is caused by having the earphone plug not in completely. The "little noise" is there even when the earphone is not completely put in. But for sound/music it must be in completely.

After updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.1 it will not connect to the wifi network at work even though it recognizes it. It however still automatically connects to the network at home (this is the network I used to update the phone). My iPad however does not seem to have any problem connecting. I have restared the phone, toggled the router, re-entered the network password but there's still no connection.
When your device is trying to connect to the work Wi-Fi network, go to Settings > Wi-Fi > then tap on the name of the Netowrk that she is having trouble with. Then tap on forget this network. Let the device attempt to connect again and make absolutely sure she is trying to connect to the work network and not a nearby network, then make absolutely sure the password is entered correctly.

I just updated my iPhone 6 to IOS 8.3. My safari will not let me search anything. If I type in a website URL, the Go button is greyed out. If I type in something to search on google, I press Go and nothing happens. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I have cleared history, reset my phone, tried using wifi and mobile data.I have this problem too and have tried all suggestions to fix, with no luck.

I had this same problem with what's app. There is a new update for the app on the app store which is compatible with ios8. Update the app, or delete it and re-add it. I found a lot of apps weren't compliant with ios8, but after updating everything worked fine.

Well, just for future reference, any time you do an iOS upgrade, it is a good idea to back up your device just prior to doing the download. You can back it up to iCloud or to iTunes. Personally, I prefer to back it up to iTunes, and then to do the download via iTunes as well. Doing a Wifi download can, by the very nature of the OTA environment, run into more issues than a hard-wired one via iTunes.
If it is just a version release (like 8.0.1, or 8.0.2), then I might download it via Wifi, since the content is not likely to be very large. But for any major new release (7 to 8, etc.) it is always a good idea to do it via the USB cable rather than OTA.
I would also suggest that you set up your device to do automatic iCloud backups. Whenever it is turned on (i.e., not manually powered off - it can be "asleep"), plugged into a power source, and connected to Wifi, it will do an automatic backup every 24 hours. Mine usually backs up at night.
But even with my iCloud backup in reserve, I still did an iTunes backup before I upgraded to iOS 8. I like having the extra security of that second backup to choose from, should I need it. Here is a support article comparing the two types of backup:

My camera roll will not restore from iCloud after updating my iPhone 4 to iOS 6. It shows I have 1.7 gigs of photos stored on camera roll but none are appearing on my phone. Everything else restored from iCloud. When I go to iCloud.com my photostream is not there.
A response I put together from another post. Also going into iTunes and choosing to sync phone to iCloud then back "this computer" sometimes works.
First thing.. Stop where you are. Don't try to sync, update, hard reset, iCloud... Just stop.
Check on your phone under 'SETTINGS' 'GENERAL' USAGE'. It should show some value for PHOTOSTREAM. Also, connect to iTunes and you will notice at the bottom of your phones summary page that there is a large amount of 'OTHER' data.
I used third party software called iExplorer (formerly iPhone explorer). In this program you select 'MEDIA FOLDER', then 'DCIM'. In the various apple folders (IE: 101APPLE) you should be able to preview your photos and copy them to your desktop.
From there sync them back to your device through iTunes or whatever method you use.
There is a simpler solution I'm sure, which may involve using iExplorer to delete some .plist files then restart the phone and let it rebuild. I'm going to try it myself AFTER I've finished copying all the photos to my MAC

My wifi connection works; the icon is present at the top left. But Internet apps won't connect, be it Safari, App Store or Facebook & instagram. Push notifications also work so posts from Facebook and Instagram still pop-up. Does any one have any ideas? Thanks.

After updating my iPhone 4s to iOS 6.1.2, the iCloud backups fails. It appears it is trying to backup the entire 3.1 GB not just new data, thereby exceeding the 5.0Gb limit. I have checked the phone contents on my iMac and there is very little new data so the backup should be successful. I have tried rebooting the phone, which did not help. Phone is not jailbroken. Any suggestions? Thanks....

For your iCloud backup, you may have an app that is preventing the backup from succeeding. You could try deleting your last backup by opeing iTunes and going to Preferences>Devices, clicking on your last backup and clicking Delete Backup. Then try again. -

I have a similar problem: IPhone 4S (upgraded OTA) connects to cellular data while sleeping/locked. I have an Airport base station the phone connects to when awake, but at night it's using cellular data.

If it was legitimately unlocked then updating it will not re-lock it. It will be re-locked only if it was unlocked by hacking it.
That error message, however, does not mean it is locked. It means that iTunes could not verify the locked state because it could not communicate with Apple's activation database at gs.apple.com. There are common reasons that the server connection fails:
1. Your router, antivirus or firewall is blocking access to gs.apple.com.
2. You don't have a WiFi connection if you updated on the phone and not with a computer.
3. If you updated using your computer and it was used to hack, unlock or jailbreak some iOS device in the past (not necessarily the iPhone with the problem) and the network database on the computer is corrupted. -

Please help after updating my iphone 4 to ios 5.01 I cannot make phone calls or receive phone calls anymore, please help, I am so annoyed first battery and now can't make calls!
The same thing is happening with my wife's iPhone 4 and we can't figure it out. When placing a call, the screen freezes and she needs to restart the entire phone.
She upgraded to 5.01 this morning over the air while it was plugged in. Immediately afterwards, this problem started happening. We've tried restarting the phone several times and plugged in to iTunes but there's nothing she can do do to fix it.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
