That's because the forum rules state that surveys are prohibited.
I'm just suggesting that everybody take a good look at what is installed on their phone. Maybe remove all 3rd party apps (you can reinstall later) and reset the phone to see if the problems go away. At least that is a start. I think you will find that most people are not having problems.
Another suggestion would be to take the phone to your local Apple store (if you have one) and let them try to get it working for you.

Did you haveany problem with updating to iOS 5? It soundsl like the update did not correctly restore from the backup that iTunes mnakes as the fisr step of the update.

I would be concerned too if my iPhone was not turning off. I'm not sure if you have tried this, but I recommend first trying to reset your iPhone:
Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Have you tried doing a Restore?
For some problems the solution is to download & reinstall iTunes.

Updated iTunes to 11.1. Can view home shared iMac computer on one of my Apple TV's but not the other Apple TV. Here is my problem, I have an ipod touch and an iPad that I have been able to connect to my iCal server, and update everything just fine. After I updated my server to 10.6.7 I can't connect to my iCal Server. Funny thing is I can connect with my 2 mac mini's that are hard wired and my Macbook Pro which is wireless. For some reason its just the 2 portable iOS devices that can't connect. I haven't changed any setting at all. Of course I use my portable devices to access my calender the most when I'm on the go. Any ideas would be great! As always thanks for any help in advance. Also if you need any config info let me know and how to do it. I know very little about command line.

After updating to the new browser, my password managing program could not work any longer. I had to go back to the previous version but was wondering when this can be fixed?

RoboForm password manager stopped working when I updated to the latest version of Firefox. I will contact them as well but I am using rf version 6 and would have to pay (again) to update that program to version 7. This is a vital program because I use a lot of different sites and really would like to continue to use with the Firefox browser.

Thanks for your help. I had already done the "forget this device" but had forgotten about the part of entering the passcode with the keyboard in order to pair. I found my instruction sheet after I posted my cry for help and when I did the pairing procedure right, it worked. It's weird that it decided to unpair itself. Both my husband and our daughter have the same keyboard and neither of them have had this happen. At least now I know what to do if it happens in the future.

HI can anyone help, since the latest software was downloaded on my iphone 5 the wifi does not seem to work properley, when it is supposed to search for the wifi networks it does nothing sometimes a small blue circle will appear but no connection, and also it does not show a list of connections like it should. i have tried all the usual things like resetting the phone also reset my modem but this has not fixed the problem, this is the second handset i have had from apple the otherone had aspeaker prob and they kindly replaced the handset, its just annoying can anyone help please

Cannot get the wifi to work...

Hello,
I recently got an ipod touch 32 go, but, whatever I do, I cannot use the internet on it...
In the settings, I manage to connect it to various wifi spots (the small tick appears on the left of the name), but none of the applications work and it says it cannot find the network... I don't know what to do !!!
And when I press the small arrow at the right of the network I'm supposedly connected to (where you can see the IP adress etc), no information appears...
Can someone please help me out ?

I have followed this thread carefully but still cant get my 32g iTouch to connect to my home network! It was working fine when I was abroad but now at home, it is a problem.
I am using a BT Voyager 2500V modem that hardwires to two PC's, it also has wireless capability.
I have set the wireless to the point that the network registers on my iTouch but the screen says that the server can not be found!
The little blue arrow reveals the following info:
IP Address: 169.254.xxx.xxx
Subnet: 255.255.0.0
and thats it, no Router info, no DNS info, no nothing. HTTP Proxy is set to off!
Typing ipconfig and/or looking in the router pages fails to provide any obvious answers, so I would really appreciate some help!!

Cannot get Guest wifi to work

My home base is my AirportTC, connected to an Xfinity modem (Model Arris TG862). Extending my network is an Airport Extreme 802.11n (4th Gen). Using Airport Utility v6.3.4, on the ATC I selected the "Add Guest network" box, and put in all needed info, and the ATC reconfigured itself. The Guest network shows up in the wifi pull-down menu, but but I cannot access that network from any device (Mac, iPad3, iPhone 6).
I have seen an earlier threads about this, and some responses from Bob Timmons indicate that the problem may be due to the type of modem used. This is a newer Xfinity modem (Model Arris TG862) that also provides an "xfinitywifi" network. While that network seems to work fine, it is only available with an Xfinity (Comcast) ID & password. If guests in our house do not have an Xfinity logon, the only free option is to use my Xfinity logon, but, of course, I do not want to share that with others. Hence the need for an Airport Guest network.

The Guest Network feature on the Apple AirPort routers assumes that you will be connecting the router to a simple modem that will allow the AirPort to control the network. A simple modem has one Ethernet port. Like this:
If you connect the AirPort router to a modem/router or gateway......the kind of device that you have with multiple Ethernet ports and a wireless radio.....then the modem/router or gateway will be in control of the network, and the AirPort needs to be configured in Bridge Mode to function correctly on the network. The reason for this is simple.....you only want one device on a network acting as a router......not two, which will create conflicts and other errors that are no fun.
Since the AirPort routers were designed to connect to a simple modem, the Guest Network feature will not operate correctly when the AirPort router is configured in Bridge Mode.
It might be possible to configure the Arris TG862 to operate only as a simple modem, and if that is the case, then the AirPort could be configured to operate in router mode and control the network.......which would allow the Guest Network feature to work correctly. You would need to check with Comcast to see if this is possible, and if so whether or not they would support that type of setup.
Things would be tons easier if Comcast would allow you to exchange the modem/router or gateway that you have now for a simple modem.
We have seen a few reports from users who claim they have been able to set up the AirPort as a second router on the network and things seem to work OK. That is definitely not recommended, since you will have a Double NAT error on the network, even if everything else seems to be OK.
Double NAT can create some unpredictable problems, but the usual results are slow Internet browsing, some sites will load and others won't, and loss of communication between devices on the network. One user even claimed that Apple Support told him to "ignore" the error. Hard to believe.
If you want to try this, we can tell you how, but we cannot offer any support when.....not if.....things go wrong.

The iTunes App opens but does not show anything! e.g. blank screen only. Tries to connect and sometimes gives message "Cannot connect to iTunes store". I can see top and bottom bar icons like Music, Films, TV, Search which each launch a new blank screen only. I can even get to Purchased option which still gives a blank screen. Have restored twice but result is the same.

Discovered the fix to no iTunes due to another separate App problem that locked up after iOS7 upgrade. To fix, goto "Settings", "Safari", "Privacy and Security" and set the "Block Cookies" to "From third parties and advertisers". Exit Settings and restart the iPhone. Works for my blank screen iTunes issue.
