If you are talking about your iPad passcode needed to unlock the device - you can't retrieve it. You have to restore the device and sync with the computer that you always sync to in order to retrieve all of your data. This article is a starting point for you. You will need your computer - unless you want to restore and wipe the iPad completely by using another computer to restore.

I am sorry to hear about your lost notes...I understand how you might feel... I did recover mine yesterday..I did two step confirmation password on Gmail then created a "special" password under the mail settings on Gmail that I typed on the iphone Gmail slot for the password and my account was cleared and with that came the notes...however i did check the notes on gmail website earlier than doing this steps and none were there..not a clue why they show up after the new password was set in... mysteries unsolved... I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

It's likely a hardware issue. The iOS will not directly cause this issue.

If that fails to resolve it, then try setting it up as new and testing again.

If the issue remains even after set up as new, it's a hardware problem, not a software problem. You'll need to contact Apple for you hardware service options. If within warranty it should be free. If not, expect to pay $149 USD + tax if it's an iPhone 4, $199 USD + tax if it's an iPhone 4S.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

I'm having the identical problem on my iPhone 4 after upgrading to IOS 7--no ability to update apps or download new apps. Here is what Apple tech support emailed to me:
I understand that you are unable to download or update applications after updating iOS7 on your iTunes. I know you must be eager to get this resolved and I will be happy to help you today.
... to help you better with this issue I would request you to please try this steps given below to resolve your issue.
Please follow this steps:
1) Double tap the home button
2) Hold down on an icon
3) Tap the red "X" on iTunes, and the App Store.
4) Tap Settings > Store > Tap your Apple ID, and choose sign out
5) Tap Settings
6) Tap General
7) Tap Reset
8) Tap Network Settings
Once it has been closed with multi-tasking, and you have rebooted the device in the network settings reset, please sign in, and try again.

Mildly amusing that the instructions for force-closing a program are the IOS 6 instructions, which do not work on IOS 7.
Otherwise I'm having a little success with this. Some apps (not all) are updating. It seems that a few more apps update each time I go through the process (close everything, sign out, and either reset or reboot, then go to the app store, sign in and try to update all). So far it has been a very lengthy, iterative process.

I have add this account in English the entire time I've been here with no issues until I updated it.

Never mind, I sorted it myself. I just had to go into my iTunes account settings and that automatically redirected me.
