After updating my software my phone will no longer send imessages
My phone will no longer send iMessages ever since I updated to the new software. Does anyone know how to fix this?
The iPhone will behave as any other camera would when connected to a Windows PC. I suggest you check Windows user forums for similar issues related to any/all cameras.

ive not been able to copy my pics of my iphone 4 for about 4 months when i used to connect it to pc (windows xp) it would pop up apple iphone when i connect the lead it says on it camera connected but it wont show a programs to launch it for sum reason ?? n when i click on my computer n then click iphone nothing shows up so i click get pictures from camera and it says its in use and its being used by another application when it isnt ?? and iv reset my phone and it still wont transfer pics from my phone ??

Sometimes this setting causes problems. Check Settings>General>Date & Time>Set Automatically>On. Make sure that the time zone setting is also set correctly.
You can also try resetting all settings. This causes all of the settings to revert to out of the box condition. I reset my setrings a littl earlier today and had to sign back into Messages and FaceTime. You will not lose any data. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings. -
After 5.0.1 update on iPhone 4 my phone will no longer sync.
After 5.0.1 update on iPhone 4 my phone will no longer sync. Keeps sitting there says "waiting for sync to start". Any ideas? It was fine before the update. I tried truning off the cloud but it made no difference. Tried on a different computer. Same thing.
I finally worked around Apple's problem. I synced my iPhone 4 phone with another computer. Lost my apps and music on the phone but still had my music database of almost 3,000 tunes. I then synced with another computer with the updated iTunes software they just sent out. Then had to rebuild my apps and music on the phone. I used Tune-Up plug-in to help with the music with covers and dupes, etc. It took me till 1 am last night but it's now working and syncing ok. I have about 1,000 tunes on the phone now, with no dupes and 95% of the cover artwork. Without Tune-Up it would take me a week to get the dupes out and covers for all the albums. I think the problems started when Apple tried to send the update directly to the iPhone rather than thru iTunes like they had always done before. I turned off the cloud and am syncing and backing up with my computer and home sharing is turned off. That method worked very well for the last few years. It seems like the combination of home sharing, the cloud and 5.0.1 software caused a lot of problems. Hopefully I have it under control now, or at least until the next software update. It was a major pita.

What happens when you try? What error message do you get? Was the phone previously jailbroken or unlocked? -
When I click on the button to download the new IOS software, I get a message saying that all the items on my iTouch will be removed. Will I have to reload everything after updating the software? Because I had to have my hard drive wiped a while back, I have items on my iTouch that are not in my iTunes. Is there a way to copy everything on the iTouch into iTunes, if necessary, before I load the new software?
It is possible to transfer purchases from your iPod back into iTunes before updating the OS. If you had any CDs from your personal collection, these you have to put back into iTunes manually. Hope this helps you & good luck!

Ive backed up my phone and restored it after updating the software and now a lot of my apps are greyed out and i cant access them via the phone interface
I can only access them via the App storeI did plug it into itunes and then backed it up to the cloud (im actually wondering if thats my problem)
then restored it from the cloud.
Maybe I should restore it from the computer (when its plugged into itunes?)

No keypad sound after update the software into 10.3.1.1565
Hi guys..please help me. I'm using Z10, after update the software into 10.3.1.1565, there is no sound of the keypad, eventhough i have made the volume of the keypad sound to the maximum.
Is anyone has any idea or suggestion about it? Thank you.Lots of users are complaining about issues with Contacts from OS 10.3.1 udpdate (Q10 v5).
I've tried everything under the sun (reinstalled OS multiple times, completely wiped my device, etc) and the problems still persist.
I've noticed that if I repeatedly disable and re-enable Contact syncing via Settings (and then waiting an hour or two), the Contacts will eventually appear after about 5-10 attempts, and my text messages and phone calls will show names again.
BUT, as soon as my Q10 soft resets for any reason (if battery dies, for example), all of my main Contacts completely disappear. Then I have to repeat the steps above every time.
There are a few other things I've noticed:
1) If I click "Edit Contact Folder Settings" button in Account Settings, it shows Contacts, LinkedIn AND "LinkedIn 2". I don't even have LinkedIn installed!
2) If I turn OFF the toggle switch to "Sync All Contact Folders" then click save, it doesn't actually save my settings (usually if something saves successfully, the devices seems to think for a few seconds, which doesn't happen). As soon as I go back to manually edit the Contact folders, the settings are reverted back to All Contacts.
So frustrating.. -

Ever since I updated my 3gs (on ATT) to 6.1.3, it will no longer send or receive group texts, and it won't send picture messages
(though I seem to be able to receive picture texts). I've looked around on the boards, and here's what I've tried so far (to no avail):
1. Tried simply turning off / on
2. Tried hard reset
3. Tried having imessages off
4. Turned group messaging off / on (tried while it was off)
5. Turned off all messaging, turned phone off / on, turned all message settings back on
6. Reset network settings

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Please follow this steps:
1) Double tap the home button
2) Hold down on an icon
3) Tap the red "X" on iTunes, and the App Store.

6) Tap General
7) Tap Reset
8) Tap Network Settings
Once it has been closed with multi-tasking, and you have rebooted the device in the network settings reset, please sign in, and try again.

Mildly amusing that the instructions for force-closing a program are the IOS 6 instructions, which do not work on IOS 7.
Otherwise I'm having a little success with this. Some apps (not all) are updating. It seems that a few more apps update each time I go through the process (close everything, sign out, and either reset or reboot, then go to the app store, sign in and try to update all). So far it has been a very lengthy, iterative process. -
