After Updating to 10.5.7 my keyboard is set to USA instead Switzerland!

After every reboot of my 10.5.7 i've USA keyboard instead Switzerland German.
This ist on more than one maschine in my company...
Any ideas?

After updating to 10.5.7 my keyboard switches to US everytime I change networks. I have US turned off, unchecked, if I could I would delete it from the system. The keyboard viewer also disappears and has to be rechecked. Since I change networks 3-4 times a day (Work, Home, School) this is a real hassle and obviously a bug.

Are the songs that you are trying to play grayed out in your playlists?
I had this problem after upgrading to iOS 5, and I found that deleting all the songs from my device and re-syncing them fixed the problem.
To do this:
1. Attach your iOS device (either using the cable or to the same wi-fi network if using iTunes Wi-Fi Sync).
2. Open iTunes, and click on your iOS device.
3. Click on the Music tab.
4. Uncheck the "Sync Music" checkbox at the top.
5. When asked, click "Don't Sync Music".
6. Sync the iOS device. Your songs will be removed from the device.
7. Check the "Sync Music" checkbox at the top once again.
8. Sync the iOS device again, and your songs will be re-added.
I don't know why the upgrade made some songs unreadable, but the resync fixed the problem for me (I had to do this for each of my iOS devices after upgrading them all to iOS 5). Fortunately, I only had 1,000 songs, so the resync didn't take forever.

To clear apps swipe up on the app. You might want to try resetting all setting it has helped some. Also try setting>general>accessibility>increase contrast turning this on reduces a couple animations which some say shows an increase in speed.

I'm exactly having the same problem as described above running on Boot Camp v2.1 as well as Parallels latest version. My macbook will just hang on itself and i had to press the power button to restart. Is there any fix to this?

is the icloud setting greyed out? - do you have restrictions tunned on - if so do you have your mail ids set to not llow changes? - if so enable them to allow changes and the icloud icon will get ungreyed out - after you set up icloud you can set your mail ids to not allow changes again (until you want to make any changes to your icloud settings)

Keyboard locks after update to 10.6.8

After updating to 10.6.8 the keyboard started locking up once or twice a day on my MBP (2010 -one month out of warranty). A reboot fixes it. The Bluetooth mouse works, but nothing else.
I went to the Genius bar yesterday and they wanted to run diagnostics etc. I said it was a software issue as it had never happened before. I told them the blogs were full of similar stories and did they hear of a fix. They said that with a new release imminent they did not expect anything else till then. I guess we can hope that 10.7 fixes all the glitches that are being reported in these blogs.

I am having the same problem, but much more frequently. A reboot doesn't seem to help for very long before it starts happening again. I've switched keyboards thinking that there was a sticking key, but that has not resolved my problem.
In addition, my mouse will constantly lock up for a few seconds. I've switched mice, used the trackpad, and used Apple's external trackpad as well. Nothing fixes the problem. It's getting very annoying.
I've also checked Activity Monitor to see if that shows what may be causing these problems. But I've not found anything out of the ordinary.
Any help in resolving this will greatly appreciated.

After updating to 10.9.1 keyboard toast

After updating to 10.9.1, the keyboard attached to my mac mini is misbehaving. Many letters don't function and some letters continue to repeat after being pressed. I am unable to log in to my account because I cannot type the password properly. The problem also exists in the guest account. It may just be a coincidence that my keyboard failed right after the update and that these are not related, but it seems strange that it happened right after the update and the keyboard was not giving me any problems before. Any ideas.

Back up all data.
Select all your mailboxes, and then select
Mailbox ▹ Export Mailbox...
from the Mail menu bar. Export the mailboxes to the Desktop folder.
Make a note of the settings for all your Mail accounts – everything you'd need to reconstruct the settings from scratch.
Quit Mail. Then select
 ▹ Force Quit...
from the menu bar. A small window will open with a list of running applications. Mail may appear in that list, even though you quit it. If so, select it and press return. Close the window.
In the Finder, hold down the option key and select
Go ▹ Library
from the menu bar. Move the following items from the folder that opens to the Trash (some may not exist):
Caches/com.apple.mail
Saved Application State/com.apple.mail.savedState
Leave the Finder window open for now.
Relaunch Mail and test. If the problem is solved, you’re done. Delete the exported mailboxes. Otherwise, quit Mail and move these items, if they exist, from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
Application Support/AddressBook/MailRecents-v4.abcdmr
Containers/com.apple.mail
Mail
Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist (OS X 10.7 only)
Preferences/com.apple.mail.searchhistory.plist (OS X 10.7 only)
Note: you are not moving the Mail application. You’re moving a folder named “Mail.”
Log out and log back in. Launch Mail. It will behave as if you were setting it up for the first time. Go through the setup process with one of your accounts, using the information you noted earlier. Test. Same problem?
If there’s no improvement, quit Mail again and put back the items you moved to the Desktop, replacing any newer ones that may have been created in their place. You don’t need to replace the items you moved to the Trash.
If the issue is resolved, recreate the rest of your Mail settings, then import the mailboxes you exported:
File ▹ Import Mailbox...
After importing, test. If Mail is still working, delete the items on the Desktop and close the Finder window.

No more sound after update to IOS 8

After updating to IOS 8 the ringtone, keyboard click etc.. doesn't function anymore.
Earphone works alright.
When rolling back to IOS 7.1.2 all works fine so I think I can rule out a
hardware problem.
I have checked/tried the following:
-Mute bottom
-Volume
-DND function
-turning off Bluetooth
-turning off Wi-Fi
-Checked airplay
-cleaned connectors
I already had this problems
when I was trying the beta versions of IOS 8 and assumed that it was a beta
bug. So I downgraded to IOS 7 in the hope that by the release of IOS8 it would have
been solved. Apparently not...
Anyone some ideas what I can do?

Although this reply is late. I just want to share that I have the same issue - no LTE after upgrade to 8.1.3 on my iPhone 5. No matter switch on/off iPhone or LTE option or Airplane Mode - they all didn't work....but after an upgrade to 8.2 today. I got my LTE back now after a month...not sure if it is a bug or a reset work. Good luck to anyone who looking for the resolution of same issue.

I have the same problem since updating to IOS 8.3. Any app to which I want to send a new link via IMessage does not allow me to select a contact to send the IMessage to. Using a pre-existing thread does not have same problem.

Could not activate the Iphone after updating

I just update the software and after updating, it shows on the phone slide to set up, I did it and put all the information that is needed but unfortunately I could not activate the phone, did it many times...but it shows, iphone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. I tried even connecting to itunes to activate but still same result...The iphone was perfectly working before I update the software...what must i do now? help me please.

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone has been jailbroken or hacked.
Google may provide some direction if this is the case.

TS3048 Number pad on extended keyboard stopped working after updating to OSX 10.9.1. Testing keyboard on old system still works perfectly.

Expanded keyboard stopped working correctly after updating my system from OSX 10.8.6 to OSX 10.9.1 and now 10.9.2. The keypad numbers do not work although the numbers along the top of the keyboard work fine. Moving the keyboard back to computer still using 10.8.6 and it works fine.

Check to see that Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictive is turned ON.

Keyboard falls asleep after update to OS X 10.8.2 Help!

After update to OSX10.8.2 my MacBook Pro Keyboard and trackpad falls asleep after 10-20 seconds.
Then it takes 4-5 sec to awake. Usually the first keystrokes are lost.
The mouse works perfectly.
Anyone else having this problem or has a solution?

I don't know if it is any help but I forced quit (shutdown) and restarted and it seems to have solved the problem.
