After updating to 4.1 on 3GS

After updating to 4.1, I noticed a change in the playback speed of audio podcasts. This is best described as sounding almost like "donald duck" and is very difficult to understand.
The speed was normal before this upgrade and would like suggestions on how to fix.

You can change it by tapping the podcast artwork while its playing, and locating the speed control that can be found under the right side of the scrubber bar. Then adjust as needed.

After update to iOS4 my iPhone 3Gs doesn't sync ringtones anymore

After updating my iPhone 3Gs to iOS4, I don't see my synchronized ringtones on my iPhone. If I couple my iPhone to iTunes, I can see the ringtones in the iPhone. But if I go to the sound settings of the iPhone, I don't see the ringtones at all.
Can someone help me

I think I have the solution. I crfeated new ringtones yesterdya by converting them to aac files, then changing the extension to .m4r and dragging them to itunes. I also had a missing icon next to the custom ringtones. The only ringtones that would sync to my iphone are the 2 that I purchased. I tried to play the customer ringtones and windows told me they cannot be played because the original file cannot be located, would you like to locate it? I clicked yes and searched my desktop. I had saved all the ringtones to a file on my desktop so i knew easily where to find them. I clicked the file for the ringtone I had tried to play, clicked on open and it began playing. the missing icon was now gone in itunes. Windows then asked if I wanted it to search the same location for other missing files. I clicked yes and all of my newly made ringtones now will play. I re-synced my phone and they now appear in my ringtones on my iphone. hope this works for you.

Cannot activate my iphone after updating

after updating ios5.01, my Iphone 3GS needs to be activated. While i was activating it, it keeps come back saying" your iphone can not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavaliable" I've been trying all night, and the problem still persists, what's wrong with it?

Sounds to me like your phone was jailbroken or hacked to unlock it before you updated it.

my iphone 3gs which is not associated with this accunt is not activating after updating the sof tware, it connects to i tunes but i tunes says "we arh your unable to continue with your activation at this time, please try again later or contact customer care". my iphone aslo just says it cannot be activated or something like that every time i try. i have been waiting for 4 hours now but it still hasnt worked. how can i uninstal this update and go back to my old version which ws ios 4.1 or or ios 4,3. i dont even know what version it updated to, im assuming it is ios5 but not sure. it says try connecting to i tunes as well but it is connected and i tunes cant activate it either. my phone is connect to a wifi but it stll says no service.

Generally this is a sign that the iPhone had previously been
hacked/modified/jailbroken and the update relocked it to the
original wireless carrier. If this is the case, only that wireless
carrier can unlock your iPhone. You must contact them to see
if they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
Where did you acquire this iPhone?
What wireless carrier did you use before this problem?
Does the app Cydia appear on your iPhone?
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>About=>Carrier?

Not a good sign. Try forcing the phone into recovery mode & restoring it. If this fails, make an appointment at an Apple store:
Turn your phone off. 3Gs no longer charges in car after updating to iOS 5

I got a weird problem after updating to iOS 5. In addition to the battery drain, my 3GS will no longer charge via a 12 volt car adaptor. I know the cable and the adaptor work because my son's iPod and wife's iPhone 3G both charge from them. The cable also has no problems charging my phone when it's plugged into the computer or a wall socket.
The battery drain is a bummer, but combined with no longer being able to charge in the car makes this a killer combination.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

You can try the standard fixes:
- Reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem then the iOS broke full compatibility. you have to then wait for either Apple to fix the problem in an iOS update or for Honda to fix it via a firmware update/

You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

I work for an Enterprise with around 30 devices so far, 5 of them have been upgraded to iOS 5.01 and we are having this issue, the steps below are appearing, these are both on iphone and ipad 2's with exchange 2003:-
- Exchange Calendars not sync'ing, but Yahoo account working fine.
- Create an appointment on the ipad / iphone and this sync's with Exchange.
- Close the Calendar and re-open the appointment disappears, but stay's within Exchange.
- Meetings created within the Exchange Calendar do not synch with the iphone / ipad.
This is starting to cause a lot of issues.

There is no such thing as a "Factory Unlocked iPhone "
They are either locked to a carrier who may at some stage offer unlocking
or sold direct to a user by Apple (from their own Stores or online .)
Those iPhones are NOT locked

Then I created a contact on my Mac and synced with negative results. What is up? I've never had any problems with any Apple updates before this!
