After updating to Firefox 11.0 Mac, Firefox runs, but no window can be seen
I'm running OSX 10.5.2 I just upgraded to Firefox 11.0. Firefox runs, but no windows can be seen.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
*Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

The page load progress bar that was on the lower right of the window is no longer there. After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac there is no progress bar for the page load. I Just found it on the apple site, it arrived on a cd a few days later and worked just fine again.
i would recommend backing everything up just in case. Better safe than sorry, trust me. I've lost so much when i didnt back up once when re-installing the system.

Are you trying to install a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows 8?
Which versions of Windows are supported with Boot Camp 5?
64-bit versions of Windows 8 and Windows 7 are supported using the Boot Camp 5 Support Software. If you need to use a 32-bit version, you need to use Boot Camp 4 Support Software, and you must use Windows 7. 32-bit versions of Windows 8 are not supported via Boot Camp.

I downloaded and installed the: Mac mini EFI Firmware Update 1.6 on my mac mini running 10.8.1, was I correct in doing this ?
I didn't see this update come up in "Software Update"
If I was not meant to install this update, would it cause ANY damage at all to my mac ( this is my second as I dropped the first )

The bottom of the page I link to says:

My problem is after updating to Yosemite does my mail client any longer. I can not even open the mail, and when I "forced closes" mail and try to open it again to go in the entered settings running the colored wheels around and allows me only to forcing close again? does anyone have a solution to the above problem?
You mean the default OS X mail app? Try reinstalling OS X Yosemite if that's the case.
If you are referring to 3rd party mail applications, that's a compatibility issue. Some apps don't work in the new operating system. You have to wait until the developer updates the app, or you have to revert back to Mavericks to continue using it. -
Firefox basically stopped working. Would not access any web pages. Internet expolorer works fine so this is not a connectivity issue.
I tried to re-intall firefox several times (once w firewall off) unsuccessfully. No error messages. The install wizard runs but then I can't start the program. The short cut icon does not look right. It looks like a web page instead of the firefox logo. When I click it I get the message "windows is looking for Firefox.exe".
It appears as though the exectutable file is not installing.It sounds like the acorn had a white background that you grouped with the acorn. Hence when you selected another color the entire object looked red. Look in the layers panel for one acorn and see how many objects make up the acorn. One of the objects for that acorn should have a fill of none or white. That object you can delete. Now try and fill the object with a color and see if it is ok. If it is, you can do the same to the remaining acorns. If not post the AI file and someone can check for you.

Are you sharing your apple id? You can check if your email is included within the message settings in "settings >> messages >> send and receive" and remove it from that list on the other phones.

A few days ago, my HP printer software updated automatically, everything seemed fine (Mac is running Maverick, my laptop is Snow Leopard). Actually, I resolved this by going to the list of servers and selected the same server from the 'Other SMTP Server' category (which happened to be the same server as the primary server) and can now email.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary. -

The iPhone requires wi-fi to update if you try to update over the air, since the phone needs to reboot, thus disconnecting itself. You can update via iTunes and the computer, but you would not be able to tether to the phone for the internet connection, since the phone would disconnect. So, you can either update via wi-fi and the phone, or you can update with a computer that has an internet connection other than the phone.
