After updating to Firefox 29, my Categorian toolbar became reversed. ie all the icons are in the opposite order to what they were. Why?
I have a screenshot, but this box will not accept cut and paste?
A couple things I'm going to say are going to be separated by a horizontal line;
Your System Details looks very light/empty. Can you start by giving us the troubleshooting information from the Firefox installation that's having problems. This is an essential step in troubleshooting.<br>
*Click the Firefox button at the top left, then click the ''Help'' menu and select ''Troubleshooting Information'' from the sub-menu. If you don't have a Firefox button, click the Help menu at the top and select ''Troubleshooting Information'' from the menu.
Now, a new tab containing your troubleshooting information should open.
*At the top of the page, you should see a button that says "Copy text to clipboard". Click it.
*Now, go back to your forum post and click inside the reply box. Press Ctrl+V to paste all the information you copied into the forum post.
From your System Details, it looks like user.js is currently active in Firefox. The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.
You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release. You can get to the profile folder below:
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Show Folder
or
*Go to '''about:support''' and click Show Folder next to Profile Directory.

After updating to firefox 6.0.1 I no longer can access websites with "https" in the address bar.
I am running Avast internet security. I have tried removing firefox from the allowed websites section and re entering it into the list and I still cannot access facebook, email, bank, etc. Same effect in google chrome but Internet explorer works normally. When I type a few sentences, I look up and only half of what I have typed appears on the screen. The rest of it appears shortly. The display just has a problem keeping up with my typing. This never happened before. There was no problem before I updated to Firefox 4.0. I restarted Firefox and tried again and there was the same problem. Actually, the display in this text box is annoyingly slow too, but, it is nothing like what it is when composing google/gmail emails. On the other hand, I never had anything like either problem before. Moving the slowly responding cursor is especially annoying.

....You also have to run the downloaded Silverlight.exe file to install Silverlight. Open the Firefox [[Downloads window]] (via Tools -> Downloads") , right-click on the Silverlight.exe download entry and select "Open containing folder" to find the downloaded file, then close Firefox and double-click the exe file to start the installation.

Try a reset, press and hold both the home and power buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. Check apps.

In the Bookmark Toolbar, the icons for websites take up too much space and are distracting. I used to use the Bookmarks - Deiconizer add-on but after updating to Firefox 22 it doesn't work anymore.
I tried adjusting the userChrome.css as in other posts but that does not work.

If userChrome.css isn't working (note: you need to exit and restart Firefox before it takes effect), you can apply that rule to Firefox using the Stylish extension instead.

After updating to firefox 17.0 when I do a scan with Norton 360 it no longer picks up tracking cookies. These cookies that were picked up with firefox 16.0.02 what have you changed? Further I am getting sick of these updates - at least tell us users what has changed in new versions.

after updating to Firefox 7.0.1, menu bar for Google(web ,image,video,map etc),yahoo, Facebook (message,notification,profile,home) and others site are disabled. even I cant log out from different sites cz the log out bar is completely disabled. I tried with Firefox 4;5 and 6, same problem exist . I tried by active all add ons for facebook, same problem exist. If I use internet explorer , I don't find such problem with it.

When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

It sounds like you restored from an old back-up. Did you back-up just before your software update? It will use your last one and if your last back-up was a ywear old then it will use that one.
In general, if you are getting these messages on your iPhones select logout (when you get that Apple Id request) and then log back in with your newer ID.

After update to Firefox 15 it crashes after javascript call from a popup window.close();opener.alert('test');. Is this working as intended or is it a bug?
According to the pages linked to the crash ID, there is a bug report on this.
Does the crash occur as soon as you run those two lines of code, or after dismissing the alert()?
If this is your application, why are you running script commands after calling window.close()? Could you avoid the problem by using an approach like this:

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Unable to install any addons after updating to Firefox 7.0.1
I am not able to install any addons after updating to firefox 7.0.1. Addons are still working. Addons will start to download but will get stuck at 100% download progress.
What addons do you already have installed? Could be one of them is interfering with the downloads somehow...

hello, have you switched between firefox 31 and a higher version in august once - there has been a change in the database that holds your passwords and the migration will only take place once - the first time you update from firefox 31 to a higher version. if you switch back to 31 again afterwards (downgrading isn't a path that is commonly supported) your pw changes won't be reflected...
