After updating to Firefox 4, it will not open. I end the Firefox processes in Task Manager per trouble shooting procedures; still not working. Removed and re-installed. No go.
Can I revert to an older version? I tried all your published trouble shooting procedures to no avail to get Firefox 4 to open. When I try to run it, there is a process running in the Task Manager but no task or program actually opens.
I never had any problems with previous versions.

Firefox does not open but there is an entry in Task Manager
I've tried upgrading my gf's firefox from 3.6 to 5.0.1
Since then, whenever I click on the firefox shortcut on the desktop, nothing happens. There is an entry in the Task Manager but nothing else happens.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF, even trying 4.0.1 to see if that works but I get the same problem there. Which is what leads me to believe it's a software conflict...the problem is I can't identify what it is and why it only stops versions from 4 upwards!Launch the Console application by entering the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search, and look under "User Diagnostic Reports" for crash logs related to Safari, WebProcess, or PluginProcess. It is any problem with the application vtok? Since I update my iPad2 system to iOS6.0 I was unable to use this application. The problem is when I tap on the vtok icon, the application opens and closes right away. I removed and reinstall the application twice, but this doesn't fix the problem. When I try to find the application on application store, it's give me a message that the vtok application is not available in USA.
Not available in Spain either. I can't find anything googling for this problem, Vtok's page and facebook page seem to be unmaintained.
It is strange such a widely used app doesn't show life signals.

I have the same problem. The mail app doesn't work properly. Either cannot connected to the server or fail to connect. But the network is totally find and work well as i can open website.

After updating iPhoto to 9.2, Photoshop CS2 doesn't display the photo on the desktop screen, even though the image is shown in the Navigator pallet well to the right.
No, that is the problem. I don't see how it should be, but that is what happened after I did the upgrade, which was for iPhoto 9.2. The upgrade then required that the Library be upgraded. Then CS2 stopped showing the photo when I opened CS2. Maybe there was a system upgrade for the whole system, that went along with 9.2. Before the upgrade CS2 worked. I even tried photos that I had on backup disks, and they wouldn't show in CS2 even though I had draged them to the PS icon in the dock. These photos were not on my computer when the Library was upgraded. I even tried photos fresh from the camera. Elements 9 does work to open the photos.

Earlier F crashed, crashed etc. Now it does not start.

When I started a new loading, no questions of add-ons or anything.Do a clean (re)install of the latest Firefox version and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall the current version or you lose your bookmarks and other data because all profile folders will be removed.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.

Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
You may need to remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Go into your iTunes preferences and select devices (on a Mac it's iTunes > Preferences > Devices; on PC it's Edit > Preferences > Devices). This will show you any and all iTunes backups you have, including your phone. If you don't see any backups, then you don't have one in iTunes.
With iCloud, if you've got a backup you can view it using an iOS device that's logged in with your iCloud (apple ID) account. You go into Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage and see if your phone is listed there. If it is, then you have a backup for it. You can click on it to see how large the backup is and what is backed up.
Don't be afraid to restore it. The worst that can happen is that you lose data. If you have a backup, then you can get that data back. If not, then you will have to start over, but your phone will still work. -
Occasionally I have the problem discussed in /forums/knowledge-base-articles/704725 , Firefox is already running. My only fix is to use Task Manager to end the firefox process. At such tmes, I have no other instances running.

If you are having issues with your iPhone such as you describe, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPhone -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPhone as a new device -

Try updating your QuickTime Player to the latest version. Does that clear up the DEP errors in iTunes?
