After updating to iOS 5.0.1 my 3GS no longer syncs contacts. I tried it in both directions to no avail. I created a contact on iPhone and then synced with negative results. Then I created a contact on my Mac and synced with negative results. What is up? I've never had any problems with any Apple updates before this!

Did you already try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again? You will not lose data doing a reset. -

After updating to iOS 8.3 I can now no longer back up my iPhone 6 to iCloud?
It says I do not have enough storage space. But I do. It has been backing up perfectly fine until I updated to iOS 8.3 and now it says I need an extra 3.4 GB of storage space? I have all apps turned off for backing up except my photos. I only have 1.3 GB of photos. No other old backups or anything. I can't figure out what this other 3.4 GB of space is and why this just happened after updating to iOS 8.3. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

Error-1 generally indicates a hardware failure. You'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation. -

Choppy scrolling after updating to iOS 4? (Device: iPhone 3GS)
Is anyone else experiencing a little slugginess in scrolling speed after updating to iOS 4 on the 3GS? The worst choppiness happens at the homescreen when scrolling through pages; the pages seem to "stick" a little bit occasionally, like they're running through a sticky surface.
Even this is a minor issue it's really annoying and makes the phone feel very flimsy, cheap and slow. I hope Apple will do something about it in the next update.

After updating to iOS 8.3, my iPhone 5 no longer can connect to cellular service
After updating my iPhone 5 this morning to iOS 8.3, I am no longer able to get service. Upon rebooting the phone, or removing and replacing the SIM, it connects for about 30 seconds, then drops the network connectivity and is constantly 'Searching...', never finding service. I restored from my backup from the previous night before the upgrade, but that doesn't reset it back to iOS 8.2.
I've contacted my service provider, but it doesn't seem to be on their end.
What are my options here?This is strange because my wife's iPhone 5c did the exact same thing. In one day it was 536MB. The other weird thing is that this happened while the iPhone was not being used. She was at work during this time and her iPhone was off and in the back room. I did call AT&T to ask them about it and they didn't know what happened either. The most they did was to put a note on the account that if we go over our data limit that they will credit it back this month. I've been checking every couple of days and it hasn't happened again. I'm glad I'm not the only one but I wish that there was an explanation.

After updating my iphone 4 with the ios 6 update. My iphone would no longer connect to my home wifi that is password protected. I know that I have the right password entered in. At work we have a free wifi connection that does not require a password and I can connect no problem to it. My ipod touch has no problem connecting to my home wifi. It is a 3rd gen ipod and does not have the ios 6 update on it. Please help!
I'm having the same issues. Started when I upgraded iphone 4S and ipad1 to 5.1.1. Wife's iphone 4g on 4.4.2 has been ok. I've forgot the network on both devices and restored the iphone, none of which changed the issue. I've upgraded to ios 6 on the iphone 4s, problem still persists.
One thing that will help for a time: go to your router and change the wireless control channel. When I first did this I got full connectivity for about 48 hours... and now the problem is back. I'm now changing the wireless control channel every 12 hours, which is a pain but at least keeps me connected. I've tried a few other solutions that are out there and that has been the best one so far.
to do this on a motorola router: type 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.
username: admin and password:motorola if you have not changed the factory defaults.
Click on the word "wireless" and look for the "control channel" field. This may be set to auto or to 1, try changing it to 6 or 11 (preferred) or any other channel.
The control channel can cause static in the wireless system IF there are several networks nearby that are on the default setup.
There is a fair bit of buzz about this issue out there, some other things I've seen:
This is a hardware issue. Go to the store and have your wifi antenna checked, some users reporting that they get free replacement devices.
Check against other wifi networks that require a password (this is next for me). Logon to those networks and surf until your wifi stops. If your wifi connects to the internet but stops responding, then this is a software (or hardware) issue and apple needs to step up. Some are claiming this to be the case.
IF you connect and stay connected/on the internet on another password protected wifi, then the issue is with your router. this is where things get cute.
Comcast may tell you to update your firmware. Motorola may tell you that your cable provider is the only one who can push through firmware updates. Comcast may tell you that you are not in an area that is being updated. It's unclear if they say that to all customers, or just those who have purchased cable modems and aren't renting them from comcast.

Regards.Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

b'coz im planning to buy iPhone 3GsNo... it is not true. Updating to 5.1.1 or any version of iOS for that matter does not disable Wi-Fi.
That being said, issues can occur with any update.
Just curious, why would you buy a device that was released over 2yrs ago? Especially considering it's only a matter of time (months) until the next generation iPhone is released?
If you buy a "new" 3GS it will come with 5.1.1 installed. -

Has anyone else encountered this problem and figured out a way around it? Apple says it is not an iPhone problem and Adobe says they don't support the iPhone.
If Adobe does not support the iPhone, how do you expect for a software they make to work with the iPhone?
If you are using an iPhone 5 you must be running iOS6 so your question is also not clear. -

I updated my iPhone 4 yesterday but my bought ringtones were removed from my phone after the upgrade. Attempting to sync my phone with my laptop to retireve them, i have found that I can no longer get my phone to sync? Any ideas or others having the same issues?
same problem here. Am very frustrated hopefully apple fixes this soon becuase my phone almost feels useless now because i cannot customise it with my own things from my computer! gah!

Updated to IOS 7 and now itunes will no longer sync my entire music library
I just got off the phone with an Apple Senior advisor. I advises that I had just updated to IOS7 and was synching my iPad only to find out that it would not synch any music that was not downloaded through itunes. I have 865 songs that I have accumulated over the years by burning cds and adding them to my itunes library. Never have I had an issue with itunes synching the songs but now it appears that Apple is only going to support songs that you purchase through itunes. Can someone give me some direction on how to transfer the songs that I have on my ipad to my itunes library since synching with IOS7 will completely wipe out my library. I have Ipad 2, iPod Touch and an original iPod.
when you open the sync option go to pictures and make sure all of them are checked
