After Updating to iOS 6 my iPhone 4s wont activate!!!

Last night i updated my software to the iOS 6 what took like FOREVER (about 2 hrs) after installing my phone powered on like a new phone prompting for set up and everything else but Could Not and Would Not activate service. In my setting the carrier is listed but displays no network as well there isnt a carrier name in the top left corner next to the status bars. smh!!! After talking to FOUR (4) sprint techs and going into the store there was no solution! As well as calling apple still no solution but to go into a retail store.... AT this moment traffic in ATL is **** trying to get to the Lenox location... PLEASE HELP ME
im tired of resets, restores, and erasing, those solutions are not working.

thanks for the help with the FB issue,, did what you said... and allowing FB to use photos was turned off...turned back on...
but the youtube issue bothers me. I had it and had alot of fav.songs saved... this new one is so different and all my fav's are gone now,,,but at least I have it. thanks for the help. are others having issues with IOS6 and things disappearing on phone? I hope I don't have any more..

Found a fix!
The problem is that after the update, for some reason, the screen brightness is set to lowest, so you can't see anything although the screen still works.
If you shine a bright light on the screen, like from the flash of another phone, you can see the information on the screen, not well, but visible, finish the update process, and when you're done, go to settings, and set your screen brightness up again.
It's as simple and stupid as that.

I have connected to my wifi and tried to activate using my wifi. That didn't work and it told me to try again later.
I have connected to my 4g internet on my phone and tried activating that way. That didn't work and it told me to try again later.
I opened itunes to make sure it could connect to the wifi, it does and I can open the itunes store...then I plug my phone in and it disrupts the connection and tells me there's no network available. That makes no sense because as soon as I unplug my phone it connects to the itunes store!!
What is this?? Help!

I'm having the same problem, I contacted Apple and they said its cause their servers are overloaded, so just to keep trying and eventually it will work, might be a while though.

Reset your iPhone. Hold the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.

Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.

We've an article that provides the following troubleshooting steps that may help stabilize your iPhone.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.

My iphone 4s will not auto connect to my home wifi after updating to IOS 6.1.2. I can manually connect to my phone to wifi but it will get disconnect if I'mnot using the phone. Any way to reslove?

Once the phone goes into sleep mode, it is supposed to auto disconnect from wifi to save battery. Are you saying that once you wake the phone up it will not auto connect at that time?
Suggest you try and forget the network, then go in and try the reset network settings again and then try to rediscover the network and connect again. Have you tried to do a reset of the phone, but holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release?

What happens when you try?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.
