After updating to iOS 7.1.1 i am getting no wifi on my iphone 5

After updating to iOS 7.1.1 i am getting no wifi on my iphone 5, i did reset network connection and router. stand right in front router and was unable to connect to my wifi at home. Before it was working just fine with previous ios.

I am having the same problem. Since I updated to 7.1.1 iPhone 5 will not connect to my Home Wifi. It will not connect to my freinds Wifi even though it has the password saved from a previos date. (Different Brand) Ok, Lets 'assume' that the OP's router is ok, mine is ok and my freinds is ok and go from there. There is no point at this stage blaming the Wifi routers and making changes to the settings when it's clearly an iPhone issue.
''Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.''
This has to be the worst peice of advice i've heard in a long time given the problem in question. Cmon!!! My Raspi, Macbook, Android phone and PC is connecting to the wifi, I wouldn't start at the router to solve my iPhones (Ongoing) wifi problems.
I had this problem travelling for a month in Asia. Even after numerous inconvenient restores and resets. It wouldnt connect to 90% of wifi routers out there and then give up even if it did. It's very frustrating.
Apple. You need to address this issue.
Edit..  Just did a Wifi reset on my iPhone. It hasn't worked. Also, my battery which was showing 5% is now showing 35% lol. *** is going on with this phone...Well another full reset here we come. Done about 4 this year already.

After updating to iOS 8 the iPad Air is getting crashed frequently including safari.

Have you tried to reset it? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds. When you see the silver apple, let go and let it reboot and see if that helps.
You may need to restore your iPad. That's where you back it up, then restore it to factory defaults, then put your backup back on so you don't lose any data. Sometimes a fresh start clears out any glitches and can help.

  • After updating to iOS 8.3 I can now no longer back up my iPhone 6 to iCloud?

It says I do not have enough storage space. But I do. It has been backing up perfectly fine until I updated to iOS 8.3 and now it says I need an extra 3.4 GB of storage space? I have all apps turned off for backing up except my photos. I only have 1.3 GB of photos. No other old backups or anything. I can't figure out what this other 3.4 GB of space is and why this just happened after updating to iOS 8.3. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks!

After I connected my iPhone 4s tu itunes a message showed up asking if I want to update to ios 8. I say yes and after downloading it another message showed up saying it ocurred an error with this symbol (-1) and then mi iPhone died and showed on the screen to connect it to itunes, when I connect it again itunes told me I had to restore it and when I put restore it began extracting the software of my iPhone and when it finished another message showed up telling me it ocurred another error and that they couldn't find the dispositive. I tried to make the same process again and it was the same. Hope someone could help me, I would really apreciate it.
Error-1 generally indicates a hardware failure.  You'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation.

  • After updating to ios 7.0.6 i keep getting an error message saying "this cable or accessory is not certified and will not work reliably with this iphone" every two minutes and its annoying

What is up with this error message after updating saying our cables are not reliable?

Thank you for this suggestion, but the message continues to display every couple of minutes. (e.g. "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone.)
Not only is it annoying and concerning...this is draining my battery, as the iPhone keeps waking up to display the message over and over. Like "MartinLegodi" above, I also have no cable or accessory plugged in and only use Apple cable and products when I do.
    It's a disconcerting mystery.

I have the exact same problem & just posted a similar question.  FYI,  I'm using a Go Daddy, POP account.
The problem is tied to the upgrade to ios 5.   Last week, I upgraded to ios 5 on my 3G to make sure my PC was current when I recieved my 4G this week.
On the 3G, I had to delete over 2,600 emails and thought all would be fine with the new 4G but NO.   Now I have over 3000 emails to delete on my 4G!    They are all the same ones I just got done deleting last week + other emails that were deleted last week.
Very frustrating!    Sure hope there is a way to delete all these emails at once!!!!!
Delete them from the GoDaddy account on the website

  • Has anyone experienced invisible folders after update to iOS 8.1.2 and subsequent restore from backup on an iPhone 5?

It's apparent that a folder that was visible on my iPhone 5 while running iOS 8.1.1, is no longer visible after an update and restore on iOS 8.1.2. The folder had several apps I used regularly. They must be on the phone, because after initiating a 'Spotlight Search' for apps in they now invisible folder, the appear listed in the results.
Has anyone had this occur on their phone after an upgrade to the new iOS version? Is there anyone that can suggest at 'fix' or should i just try to restore again?
    Thanks In Advance,
    Fabian

So you have checked all of the home screens and the folder does not exist? I've not witnessed hidden folders. Try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. After the phone reboots, see if you can locate it. If not, then you can go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. This should remove all apps from folders and reset your home screens.

  • I have 60GB other data after updating to iOS 8.1, how do I get rid of it?

I updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 8.1 last week and now I have 60GB "other" data on my 128GB phone. WTH? How do I get rid of it?

Hmm, I did receive an email saying that the thread was deleted, but did not explain why for some reason. It sounds like the Level 7 guy caused this. I will call Apple tomorrow to find out who is responsible. And see if I can lodge a complaint against that user. Maybe it was because of what the Level 7 guy was saying.
There was useful information posted in that threat that addressed the issue that I am experiencing. I will try to reiterate from the apple website, it says.
    Recovery mode
If you've never synced your device with iTunes, or haven't set up Find My iPhone, you'll need to put your device in recovery mode. Then you'll restore your device as new or from a backup.
This will erase the device and its passcode.
Disconnect all cables from your device.
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button, then "slide to power off" to turn off your device.
Press and hold the Home button and plug the device into your computer. If your device doesn't turn on automatically, turn it on. Don't release the Home button.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
If iTunes doesn't open automatically, open it. iTunes will alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode.
Click OK. Then restore the device.
If your device doesn't go into recovery mode, try steps 1–4 again.
They suggested that I try this over again until it works. It did not work for me the first time.

  • Mail receiving after updating to iOS 7.1

After update to iOS 7.1 connecting to mail server failed with iPad ans iPhone. Even to rebuild the account after deleting it did not help. Any answers?

You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • My new iPad sound is not working after updating to ios 6.1

My new iPad sound not working after updating to ios 6.1. Headphones are working fine. I tried all the troubleshoot. can anyone know the answer, plz share with me

    Hi,
I have exactly the same issue as everyone above. I only get sound through the slider on the ringtone in settings and through my headphones. I do not get any sound anywhere else at all.
    I Have tried:
    - Updating to iOS 6.1.3
    -re starting the device
-checking that the device is not muted. My slider switch is set to mute rather than lock and is unmuted.
-going into general settings and reset all settings
-the device reset several times (waiting until I saw the all important apple logo)
-removing the last few apps I installed.
Nothing at all has worked, please help!

  • Iphone 4 personal Hotspot not working after update to IOS 7.1 India BSNL cellular

Iphone 4 personal Hotspot not working after update to IOS 7.1 India BSNL cellular

BSNL is not a supported carrier. Personal Hotspot requires carrier support and provisioning of the account to enable it. iOS 7.1 disabled the ability to manually configure Personal Hotspot on unsupported carriers.

  • 3G is not working after updating to iOS 6.1

My 3G connection is not working after updating to iOS 6.1. I have tried all possible solutions like resetting the network, restarting the phone etc.
With this kind of bugs in every update, Apple will no more be THE Apple.
There are bugs which have not been fixed even in the subsequent updates. SMSs going blank being one of them.
    Miss you Sir Jobs.....

I have since managed to sort mine out - when the phone was updated it wiped out the network settings.
I was able to reset them by manually putting the information in:
Settings - General - Cellular - Cellular Data Network and then I put in the correct details for APN, username and Password in the relevant sections and now it works OK.
Hopefully it will work for others too

  • After update to IOS 6 on my Ipad2 it not possible to go to month view of March 2013 in the calendar app?

after update to IOS 6 on my Ipad2 it not possible to go to month view of March 2013 in the calendar app?
on my Ipone with IOS there is no problem
is Apple aware of this problem?
    When will it be solved?

Probably the app developers fault but then Apple needs to warn people about compatiblity of apps... I will add a review note to TOP 3 to warn people
If it is an app compatibility issue - it IS the app developers responsibility to make sure that they update their apps in order to work with the new iOS. Apple owes no users a warning whatsoever. Common sense tells me that a very old app that has not been updated for the last two iOS updates just might not make the grade in the third iOS release since the app came out.
I can't even find an App called Top 3 Solitaire in the U.S. App Store. Perhaps the app was so old and it hasn't been updated in so long so it was pulled from the App Store.

  • No more sound after update to IOS 8

After updating to IOS 8 the ringtone, keyboard click etc.. doesn't function anymore.
    Earphone works alright.
When rolling back to IOS 7.1.2 all works fine so I think I can rule out a
    hardware problem.
    I have checked/tried the following:
    -Mute bottom
    -Volume
    -DND function
    -turning off Bluetooth
    -turning off Wi-Fi
    -Checked airplay
    -cleaned connectors
    I already had this problems
when I was trying the beta versions of IOS 8 and assumed that it was a beta
bug. So I downgraded to IOS 7 in the hope that by the release of IOS8 it would have
    been solved. Apparently not...
Anyone some ideas what I can do?
    I am using an iPhone5 (32GB)

Although this reply is late.  I just want to share that I have the same issue - no LTE after upgrade to 8.1.3 on my iPhone 5.  No matter switch on/off iPhone or LTE option or Airplane Mode -  they all didn't work....but after an upgrade to 8.2 today.  I got my LTE back now after a month...not sure if it is a bug or a reset work.  Good luck to anyone who looking for the resolution of same issue.

    Hello babichanjacob
Change how it syncs by enabling Manually manage music and videos, then you can drag and drop the music that you want on your iPhone. Revert it back to test to see if that resolves the issue.
