After updating to iOS 7, iPod touch 5th gen randomly partially blue screened and then restarted.
I was using my iPod touch 5th generation to listen to a podcast through the podcast app and searching the ebay app for some stuff and three quarters of the screen turned blue and part of the top of the blue part showed alternating colours of between what was on the screen and blue. Then my iPod restarted (and took a long time at that) and then it was just as if my iPod had restarted. Please help. This is first and only time that this has happened and nothing else was open on my iPod.
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

It was working and then like 5 minutes later it would not send any messages it always said not delivered even when I press retry and it doesn't send at all I even updated my iOS to iOS 7.04 to see if it will send my iMessages but it won't. Ipod touch 4th gen needed a new screen and sleep/wake switch. So, I replace them. I was able to get to settings and do "erase all content and settings". I am not able to totally shut this device off as it keeps restarting after a few seconds. I have used itunes to restore and also recover. Device will actually shut off and stay shut off if I leave it connected to the computer. The moment I unplug (3 seconds) the apple logo appears, it boots, unlock screen appears, I can unlock and operate normally, unplugged or not. Just cant get it to completely shut down unplugged. Any thoughts?

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

I've had my iPod touch 5th gen in a Lifeproof case and was taking some pictures, and lo and behold, the case seal leaked. I got water inside my case and immediately turned my iPod off and placed it in rice. After two weeks of drying in rice in a warm environment, I removed it and decided to try it out again. Much to my chagrin, my iPod would not turn on and could not be placed in recovery mode; I've tried to place it in both recovery and DFU mode, if only for some response, but nothing. It displays no screen image, no error message, nothing. It shows up in iTunes just as normal, with the name, and I can even view the sync menus for the device. However, I cannot access any pictures (my iPod has a passcode that must be entered first, and to enter the passcode I would have to turn the device on, which is so far impossible).
PLEASE HELP. Lifeproof will replace my case but not my device, and I have several weeks of photos, lots of music, and unsynced apps. (I know I should have backed up more recently, but life gets busy and I wasn't anticipating such a problem).- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic. It could be that the water corroded the contacts so try to clean any corrosion from them.
- Then charge overnight and try what you did before
If still does not work:
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs.. They do not fix yours.

If the problem persits after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod then you likely have a hardware problem. In that case an appointment at the Genius Bar of an apple store or returing it to Apple is in order.

Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory.
Next as necessary:

Ios 6 Ipod touch 5th Gen - In-app Purchases Don't work
Ok i don't know if it is just me but i just recently got my new ipod and i cannot restore any of my in app purchases. such as extra content for jetpack joy ride or angry birds, plants vs zombies and so on.
i got to purshase an in app item as usal i press on buy when the pop up shows and then it just sits there for like 10-20 min and tells me an error "error connecting to itunes store" like ***!
how do i fix this? i have good internet connection i can still update and get the app's them selves just no in in-game content within them....

Ipod touch 2nd Gen connects to the internet and then quits
I have a 2nd gen Ipod touch that connects to the Internet and then it quits. I will then get the message the Ipod can not connect to the Internet.
I have a Linksys WTR 610n wireless router (I have upgraded to the new firmware). My Ipod worked fine for about almost 2 years and then it started dropping the connection. I am not sure if was as a result of upgrading the Ipod to 4.2.1. but things started to go bad right after. It will connect from anywhere from 1 min to 20min and quit. I can't downgrade to a previous OS the Ipod because I don't have a previous version of the firmware. Also Apps and Apple remote will not connect to Itunes when the internet shuts down. The Ipod recognizes all of the wifi routers in the area and its shows that it connects but then still nothing works.
Sometimes it just says it won't connect to the server. I have tried no security, WEP WPA and WPA2.
I have also tried:
1) restoring my IPOD;
2) resetting the network settings;
3) rebooting the IPOD;
4) forgetting the network and renewing the network lease;
5) rebooting the router;
6) resetting the router;
7) upgrading the firmware of the router;
8) setting the router to "G" only;
9) setting the router to "N" only;
10) praying to Steve Jobs; and
11)
I think that is everything that I could find on the discussion or elseware. If any one knows how to fix this, I would be extremely grateful.

Dean8888My 2nd gen works fine with WPA2 and AES encryption.
You may need to go back and start over. Reset the router back to factory defaults, log on as the admin, set up security, DHCP, and make sure the IP address pool has enough IP addresses to lease to ALL of the computers/devices that will connect to that the router. -
Ipod touch keeps giving me a blue screen and wont work, HELP!!!
So earlier today my ipod gave me a notification that a new ios software update was avaliable so i began the update. But during the update, i got impatient (like i always am -_-) and i decided to turn my ipod completely off by holding down the top and home buttons at the same time like an idiot........HUGE MISTAKE!! Now everytime i try and turn it on, all it does is show the logo and then it goes to a blue screen and the bluescreen fades out to white and stays that way. Each time i try and turn it off it keeps repeating this process. How can i fix this?? Will my ipod be like this forever? HELP :'(

DESPERATE PLEASE HELP So my mother got herself an iPod touch 5g for Christmas and barely asked me to set it up last night, (BRAND NEW NOT OPENED YET)..
