After updating with the recent security patch I now have constant spinning colour wheel almost every key stroke is responded to by the wheel. Can this be fixed?

Since installing the recent security patch I am getting the spinning colour wheel on almost every keystroke in Finder and in Gmail. Any way to speed up - or is this the result of the new security measures?

It would help to give us more information. Etresoft: EtreCheck is a free app developed by one of the contributors to this forum which will generate a system report on your computer. If you can paste the report here we can take a look and see what might be the problem.

If you want help you’ll need to give us more information. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Include things like:
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For example, if you have a problem with exporting, then explain by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted? - Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?

What cables are you using?
Have you tried holding Option and click the Scaled resolutions button in System prefs > Displays?

After updating with the IOS8 my photos are no longer in an album or photo stream. Any idea how to correct this issue. Hate this new feature.

When I updated my iphone and ipad with the new update IOS 8 my photos are no longer in an album or photo stream. They are in different files with all the dates that they were taken. I hate this feature. Is there any way I can get the photo stream and album back. Why do they make these changes when they just undo all the good things. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for anyone that can help me. It is impossible to reach apple when your device is an older model.

It sounds like you are seeing your photos grouped together by date, rather than the view you are used to seeing. From what you are describing, it seems like you are seeing either the Moments, or Collections view in the photos app. You can switch to the Camera Roll view in Albums located at the bottom of the Photos window:

I got an iPhone 3G off my sister who had got it off a friend, I have the latest update and everything seems to work fine, except when i put my telstra sim card in, a message pops up saying "sim failure", can this be fixed or this iPhone unusable? thanx :)

It might mean that the phone is locked to the previous carrier - if you put your sim card in and this happens, could be that the phone is locked.
You would need to ask your sister to ask her friend if the phone was locked to the carrier she was using. If so and you want to use another sim card in the phone the original phone company will have to unlock the phone before this can be done.
To get the phone unlocked though your sister's friend would have to contact the phone company to get it unlocked and she would be the last person to use the phone.

I think the swipe left and swip right ability interferes with the formatting of web page content to fit the screen - can this be fixed?

I have an android HTC EVO (Sprint) w/ firmware version 2.2.
Using the original Google browser I can expand web pages (such as forums) not optimized for mobiles and it re-formats to fit within the right/left screen size no matter the orientation of the device. I can read comfortably left to right and only need to scroll up/down.
Using Firefox 4 Mobile on the same web pages, when expanding the type does get bigger but they do not reformat left/right - they run off the screen, no matter the device orientation. Reading becomes tedious because I have to scroll right/left as well as up/down.
I believe this is related to the swipe left/swipe right design of FFox 4 Mobile.
Is there a fix for this?
If not, I'll have to go back to the original Google browser.

This feature is still experimental, and we plan to improve it in future versions.

Had the same problem as you. App would terminate when launched.
Solution to working You Tube app:
-Go to playstore
- Uninstall app (it doesn't remove the app, only removes the update)
- "Et Voila", working again.
This doesn't correct the problem, it's just a workaround for you to be able to use youtube app again.

I had this problem. I held down the power switch to power down completely. Takes a few seconds. Then use the power switch to turn on. Might take a couple goes.
