After upgrade, can't open iwork

I was reupgrade again. But it still cant open.

Find the iWork applications in your Applications folder.  Open them from there.  You should also drag them to your dock and replace the old applications with the new ones.

  • Can't open iWork's after upgrading to Mountain Lion

    I JUST upgraded from Snow Loepard to Mountain Lion two days ago.  I can't open iWorks does anyone know of a fix or an update to correct this issue?????
    This is the message I get when opening Pages, Numbers and Keynote:

    If you used the Mountain Lion installer it will have "migrated" your iWork software to the new system.
    Unfortunately that doesn't always work properly. I had to reinstall mine from the original DVD.
    If you can't find your DVD then you will have to purchase the iWork software individually from the Mac Store.
    Just make sure to completely uninstall your existing iWork from your System first:

  • IWork 5.0.1 can't open iWork 9 files?

    iWork 5.0.1 can't open iWork 9 files?
    Gmail would not allow iWork 5.0.1 file!?

    I'm not literally "looking into it" as I'm not with Adobe nor can I reproduce the problem (and I am running Windows 7 x64 on several machines).  I'm really trying to catalyze the conversation here to help lead to a discovery.
    I think, since Adobe has said they've not been able to reproduce the problem, it falls on those seeing the problem to try to isolate it further.
    If it were me, I'd download and run the freeware tool Autoruns, then disable the software that's starting that you don't know you need.  Perhaps you'll discover what it is that's getting in the way of normal Photoshop operation, and can share that information here for others to use.  I actually use this tool myself regularly to keep my system clean and lean.

  • TS4009 i can not open iwork in icloud, it's say impossible to charge the application iwork

    icloud : i can not open iwork in icloud. it's say impossible to charge the application iwork.

    "impossible to charge the application iwork" seems an odd phrasing. What is the exact wording of the message?

  • HT201365 I have 2 email accounts in my phone.  After upgrading when I open email, both accounts are combined under "All Inboxes".How can I seperate them like they were before the upgrade.

    I have 2 email accounts in my phone.  A gmail acct and an Outlook acct.  After upgrading to 7 there is only 1 inbox and it is titled "All Inboxes".  This has combined both email accts into one list.  How do I seperate the inboxes and be able to open each account seperate?

    In Mail app, on the upper left side you will see  <Mailboxes Click on that and you can select individual email acounts or choose to have them all in one.

  • After 7.01 upgrade, can't open PowerPoint files from Mail

    After updating 4th gen iPad to iOS 7.01, PowerPoint slides attached to emails won't open.  Prior to the upgrade, I could double click on a PowerPoint attachment, which would proceed to download and then open it.  It also will not open in Quickoffice either.

    Thanks for the response but I think you've misunderstood the problem. I can not open any type of PowerPoint file off my server in keynote. This includes .ppt and .pptx files. (Also includes .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx in pages and numbers).
    Even if what you said worked it would take forever to go through every file and save them all as ppt 2007. Plus of course, I don't know what files I will need when. There are hundreds of resources I need to access when I'm at home. I need the flexibility to view the files when i need to and on the go. Normally I can download them off my school network on to my iPad in keynote and edit them then I email them back to myself ready to use the next day or to save back to my network. Currently I can not download any Microsoft office file. So I am now forced to have to lug my laptop home everyday, rendering my iPad and iMac useless. I can't pre-empt what I'll need and save it as .ppt as that is completely inflexible and that won't open anyways as this is not an issue with the version of PowerPoint file. This is an issue with how all Microsoft files are downloading from my school network to my iPad and iMac. I want Apple to allow this to work like it used to before the upgrades in operating systems. I wish I hadn't upgraded as it worked perfectly. :(

  • After upgrade can no longer connect to Mac from Windows

    I have a wireless network (Linksys) with 2 iMacs, Ubuntu Linux and Windows XP workstations. I have file sharing between the Windows and Mac computers. After upgrading I can no longer see the shared folders on the upgraded iMac from the Windows box. I cannot even ping the iMac by node name, but I can ping it by IP address so it is recognizable on the network. I cannot connect by IP address, however.
    I have file and printer sharing enabled on the Leopard iMac. What can I do to restore the former connection?

    Thank you! That partially solved the problem. I can now see the Leopard Mac and can open my user folder on it. However, the subfolders give an error saying they are not accessible - permission denied. I have gone through the folders and set all of them to Shared, but this did not make them accessible.

  • Can't Open iWork '08 Files

    Just downloaded the new pages, keynote, numbers from the app store. Now I can't open any of my files which were all made in iWork '08. It says I need to open the file in iWork '09, but I never had iWork '09, nor is it available now.. Help?

    Just open them with iWork '08 which should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
    Pages '08 v3.03 should still work in Yosemite.
    You can Export your files to Word .doc/x files which should open in Pages 5.5 but maybe changed.
    Be warned, once you save your files to Pages 5.5 documents you or anyone else won't be able to open them anywhere else except in Yosemite with Pages 5.5 or iOS8 with the latest Pages there, or really desperately in iWork for iCloud beta.
    Apple has now radically changed the iWork files multiple times in the last year, each time making them hard to save if anything goes wrong. Think seriously before committing your work to this. I doubt this is the end of the file churn.

  • Can't open iWork files saved to iCloud

    I've updated my MBP to Mtn Lion and subsequently my iWork to latest versions. However when I attempt to open any files stored on iCloud via the Open dialog window, it states "The document “XXXX.numbers” could not be opened."; does not matter if it's Numbers, Pages or Keynote.
    I can move files saved on my MBP to iCloud and the files are stored properly. I can then open the files w/ my iPad or iPhone versions of iWork apps, no problem. I can even download from iCloud the saved files back to my MacBook Pro and the files open properly. I just can't open files from iCloud.
    Is this not a feature (yet) of iCloud to open directly from the iWork program files stored on iCloud; meaning, I need to download it back to my computer first before working w/ the file?

    Yes, I saw that earlier but it seems to be a temporary fix. I had the same issue return 2 weeks ago, then again yesterday. Each time, I've tried this solution which works but only to see it return at some time in the near future.
    Coincidently, I have a similar issue occur on my iPhone 4S w/ iOS 6. There, my keyboard shortcuts won't work in forms unless I tick off Data and Documents iCloud setting, power down the phone, then turn it back on. But like this, it only seems to work for a temporary time and the problem resurfaces in a few days.

  • Keynote problems after update, can't open it.

    Has ayone had trouble opening keynote after updating the app.  When I click to open it says I have to update it, already updtated it.  When I look in the app store it says updated.  But I can't open my keynote.

    Hello Mrs. JD,
    Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with Keynote on your Mac.  You may have the current version of Keynote as well as the previous version in your Applications folder.  When you click on a document, it may be pointing to the older version of Keynote, but you can change all your Keynote documents to open with the newest version of Keynote.
    You can change the application a document will open with by navigating to the document in Finder and following these steps:
    Permanently change the document’s app
    Select the document and choose File > Get Info.
    In the Info window, click the triangle next to “Open with” to expand the section.
    Choose an app from the pop-up menu, or choose Other to locate a different app.
    If you want to use that app to open all documents of the same type as the current document and created by the same app, click Change All.
    You can find the full article here:

  • Can't open iwork or any documents

    Can't open Keynote, Pages or Numbers...or any of my documents...they now say they are in the incorrect format, says the file might be corrupted, truncated, or in an unexpected format. Help??!

    Hi Jo,
    Do you have at least 15% free space on your HD?
    Run Repair Disk: Boot from install disc (insert disc > restart >immediately hold down c key and keep holding it until you see “PreparingInstallation”) > at first screen select the language and click Continue >click on the Utilities Menu in the menu bar > open Disk Utility > selectyour HD in the panel on the left side> click Repair Disk at bottom of mainwindow. Run this at least twice, and keep running it until it says “appears ok”twice in a row. If that doesn’t happen, you may need a stronger utility such asDiskWarrior or if the directory is damaged beyond repair, you may need toreinstall the OS, or you may have a damaged HD (repair utilities can onlyrepair the directory structure, not the HD itself). When this is finished, quitDisk Utility, quit the installer, and restart. Once booted normally, go toApplications > Utilities > Disk Utility and run Repair Permissions.

  • Slow boot up after that Can't "OPEN" any Applications on my Macbook pro.

    Hi
    well, when I got home from school I always get on "Safari" first to check mail, youtube, facebook ... youknow but Last night what happen was like my Safari was crash and I click ok not a re-open one but when I click on Safari again it's starting crash again then I reboot it and when it start boot up I feel that It's getting slower than before on boot up it took about 5 minutes to get on which is actually less than 20 secounds.. now when it's fully start up it show my desktop then I click on Safari or anyprogram it's not even pop up or bouncing and when I click on "Finder Icon" it's said "can't open Applications - 10810" then I tried to reserch on google and they said to reboot it and I tried over and over again it won't work..
    Help!
    Thanks

    Hard to say what's going on here. Open Disk Utility and check to see if SMART is verified. Also verify the disk. If problems are found, boot from your install disc and repair your boot disk.
    One possibility is that your hard drive might be starting to fail. If you don't already have a good backup of your data, be sure and make one just in case. If the hard drive is failing, it will need to be replaced.
    Another possibility is that the OS has become corrupted. If so, you will need to reinstall it. However, check out the hard drive first--if it's failing, it won't do any good to reinstall the OS, and you may not even be able to. Better to rescue your data first.
    Good luck!

  • After Upgrade to Netweaver, opening pdf from portal gives an error

    After an upgrade to Netweaver 4.0, the following code for opening a pdf file constructed from a byte stream passed from an RFC fails.
    Document doc = new Document(PageSize.A4);
    javax.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse myResponse = request.getServletResponse(true);
    myResponse.setHeader("Content-Disposition","attachment;filename=\"AIPDoc.pdf\"");
    myResponse.setContentType("application/pdf");
    ByteArrayOutputStream baosPdf = new ByteArrayOutputStream();
    OutputStream os = myResponse.getOutputStream();
    os.write(pdfResult);
    PdfWriter.getInstance(doc, os);
    It throws a "file not found error" on opening directly. However, if saved and viewed; it opens fine. I believe we need to specify the portal url in the filename but not sure.
    Thanks,
    Devina

    Hi Devina,
    We are also opening a pdf file constructed from a byte stream passed from an RFC.  Our problem is that we are experiencing inconsistent results.  The file appears to open on some PC workstations but not on others.  When it doesn't work we simply get a blank screen in the window.  Did you resolve your issue?  If so, perhaps you can provide us with some suggestions for solving our problem.
    Thank you,
    Angie

  • IPhoto 8.1.2: After Crash, Can't Open Library

    I had just transferred several photos from the iPhone to my MacBook Pro (on OS 10.7.5).  The transfer was successful, and when I look at my iPhoto libary folders, the pictures are where they ought to be, so I'm not worried about losing them.  But with the phone still plugged in, I took a few extra minutes to run through Faces, some simple editing, etc.  And in the middle of that process, I got a hard crash of the MacBook Pro, the fortunately-rare "Your Mac must be restarted" message.
    After the restart, iPhoto won't open anymore.  I get a completely blank window, then a message telling me to restart the Mac yet again or to open iPhoto using Command-Option and then rebuild permissions.  I've restarted; no difference.  I rebuilt iPhoto permissions; no difference.  I rebuilt the Mac's permissions; no difference.  I've tried every other kind of rebuild that iPhoto offers; no difference.
    Any other suggestions?  What if I were to just upgrade to the newest version of iPhoto?  Any chance that might bypass whatever the program is hung up on right now?
    Thanks very much.

    The problem is a corrupted Library and upgrading will not fix that.
    Try these in order - from best option on down...
    1. Do you have an up-to-date back up? If so, try copy the library6.iphoto file from the back up to the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) allowing it to overwrite the damaged file.
    2. Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
    This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
    Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    3. If neither of these work then you'll need to create and populate a new library.
    To create and populate a new iPhoto 08 library:
    Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
    In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
    Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
    Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
    Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
    When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
    In the future, in addition to your usual back up routine, you might like to make a copy of the library6.iPhoto file whenever you have made changes to the library as protection against database corruption.
