After upgrade I don't see rating stars in photos?

After the upgrade I no longer see the stars/ratings on my photos n browser mode? Is there a setting I am missing?

"u" toggles the Metadata Overlay on/off in the Browser. "{Shift}+u" toggles between Basic and Expanded Metadata Browser Overlays.

What do you see instead of update on the apps you are concerned about?
When updating to iOS 7 auto update for apps will be turned on. When an app has an update available your iPad will download and install the update with no input from you. Apps that have been updated by this automatic process but which have not yet been opened will show a blue dot before their name.
A record of updated apps is kept for your convenience. You can see this record by using the App Store app and select Updates, the right most choice in the bottom row.

I don't see my images on Photo after migration from iPhoto

i recently purchased an iMac, which uses Photo, and don't see my photos after migration from an older mac which has iPhoto. I see the event folders and the photo count but there's no actual image! Help.

No, not on the File menu. Click on the Device that shows up when connected:

If you do not use the Sidebar, when the iPod is connected to iTunes, you should see this icon appear to the left of the iTunes Store button:
Click on the ringed icon (but not on the "eject" part of it!).

If you use the Sidebar, you will see the Device appear, as shown below:
Click on it.
Once you have clicked on the Device, you should see this (Summary) pane, with the word Summary darkened:
Click on Photos (as ringed above)...
Now you are on the Photos pane (notice Photos is now darkened), where there is a drop-down menu. It's that box that says "My Pictures", where you will find "Choose Folder". That option allows you to choose (as I did) "My Pictures".
Notice in the last screenshot that a message at the very top of the image states that the "iPod Sync is complete". Choosing the folder after the Sync has completed (or passed the "sync photos" section) simply means that it requires another Sync for that change to take effect.
That's it.
Now, whatever pictures you place in the chosen folder will be added to your iPod at the following Sync. Likewise, any pictures you remove from that folder will be removed from the iPod at the following Sync.
You only need to look on the Photos pane if you wish to change the folder option.

After upgrade to ios5, there're problems with my Photos!

After upgrade to ios5, i found my Photos have some problems.
The photos cannot be shown clearly but when i use 'edit' it become alright but after i finish the 'edit', it goes wrong again.
Also, the photos are in the wrong order! the very first photo of my phone appears in the latest photos of my phone! but again when i use'edit', it shows the original photos and after the 'edit' it is the wrong photo.... What can i do?

Have the same issue. I ugraded my iphone 4 to ios5, wifi shows no wifi and bluetooth keep searching. Even my iphone automatically shut down after 1 day.
I have reset all the setting, configure my iphone as new iphone, but still the problem remains same.

Have you moved the database or the application as well? This sounds like a cloning / autoconfig issue, but it depends on what you have done so far.

I just updated my mac to Yosemite, after it's done I see that all my "notes" are gone. Is there a way to find them?

I asked on another website and got this answer:
– Quit all apps.
– Press command shift G.
– Type
~/Library/Containers/{not this}com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes
and then click "Go".
– Drag "NotesV3.blahblah" to the desktop.
– Rename "Notes V2.blahblah" to "NotesV3.blahblah"
So it brought me to the Notes section in the finder. So there are three files: NotesV3.storedata , NotesV3.storedata-shm , NotesV3.storedata-wal Then there is a folder called Backups. In there are similar file names saying V3 but they start with a date (when I made the update?).
Which files do I move? Nothing seems to say V2...

I take it you didn't read the warning prior to updating the phone. It said that you need to backup before upgrading. You have two ways. 1) load apps off your old computer. 2) Download apps one at a time. Your apps are still tide to your account and you will not be charged.

Following an upgrade I can't see any of my photos

Hi,
I have just upgraded my iPhoto but it is acting as if I haven't got any photos in my library. When I go to the iPhoto Library icon, I can see that the file size is 118GB so I checked the package contents, and there's nothing in the Masters folder but there's a new folder called "Old Masters" where all of the files are contained. Is there any way of either showing the photos from this folder in the application of getting them moved to the Masters folder so that everything can go back to normal?

Directory structure after upgrade to iPhoto 6

After upgrading to iPhoto 6, it appears that my photos were copied from the old, date-based structure into a new directory structure, but the old structure was left behind.
What is the layout of the new structure, and can the remaining old structure be discarded at this point?

The new structure organizes photos into Originals and Modified folders. There is a third folder called Data that contains thumbnails created for the photos (smaller pictures used for better performance). These three are essential for iPhoto 6 to work.
Each folder contains a folder for each year (a year folder is created if you have even one photo from that year, e.g. a photo from 4/3/2004 will create a folder called "2004" and any other photos from that year will then be placed within it.
Every import creates a serially numbered Roll folder within the year folder. So if you import photos including IMG_234.jpg from 4/3/2004, for example, the location of IMG_234.jpg will be:
iPhoto Library/Originals/2004/Roll 1/IMG_234.jpg
And Roll 1 will have other photos imported in the same session. If you modify the photo within iPhoto (enhance, retouch, etc), the modified copy will exist in:
iPhoto Library/Modified/2004/Roll 1/IMG_234.jpg
The Data folder will contain a thumbnail for the image in the same path as the Originals:
iPhoto Library/Data/2004/Roll 1/IMG_234.jpg
So inside the iPhoto Library folder, you will see some files and those three folders with their sub-structure folders. Other things within the top level of the iPhoto Library folder, are leftovers from the previous structure - such as a folder called "2004" or "2005" that ISN'T inside Originals, Data, or Modified folders.
PhillyPhan's advice is sage. Don't mess with the insides of the iPhoto Library. However, I did verify on my own system after I upgraded, that year folders at the top level of the iPhoto Library are from previous versions of iPhoto. So you could move those, and those only, to a separate folder on your HD. I moved those off to a DVD-ROM and haven't seen problems since.
Remember: Don't touch any files, and don't touch anything within Data, Originals, and Modified folders.

After upgrading to IOS 5, the "other" memory on my phone has taken up 3.7 gb.... is that normal?

My wife has the same phone, but it didnt take up just as much memory after upgrading, any ideas?

Other is usually around 1 GB...
A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup...
But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup...
Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

Can't Find My Pictures Folder in Bridge after upgrading to CS5

Can't see My Picture folder after upgrading to CS5. See My Videos, My Favorites, My Music. I must have something I need to enable in View.
Checked Preferences and My Pictures is check in Preferences.
Can see all my picture files just fine when I plug in my external drive with the files all brought it by date.

If you mean My Pictures it is on the C drive.
I have four internal and two external drives and all picture files show up in Bridge for immediate access except the My Pictures folder under my name on the main drive.
There is only one partition on the drive and there is 350 gb free space.
The set up, programmes,security software and drives are identical to when I was using CS5 with Vista, which is why I am thinking it is something to do with Win 7.
