After upgrade to 3.6.8 will not add new bookmarks.

I have tried all of the fixes on the site but none worked. Still will not add new bookmarks. Windows XP Pro.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. The attachment is an .xls excel 97-2003 spreadsheet. I viewed the file in the email and did not edit it with any software. I can forward the file to anyone that is may want to check it out to see if they can help me. I was wondering if there was some way of forcing another ios6 install on my phone and maybe that would solve it.

The main differences that can cause a problem are scripting additions (64-bit vs 32-bit and security reasons) and the usage of dates (it is not as forgiving). AppleScript itself is basically the same, so if empty paragraphs are what caused your problems the update would have just been a coincidence.

Itunes recognises my ipod but will not add new songs to it.

I have 4th generation ipod (u2 special edition) that has given me no problems since i bought it 2004, its in perfect condition. Today i just went to add some new songs to it from itunes and it will not add them at all... my computer and itunes recognises the ipod as normal and syncs it, but does not add the new songs.....any idea why this is? I havn't changed any setting at all so im at a complete loss!!

Mac mail will not add new accounts

Hi,
Recently I added two new email accounts to my mac Mail
Then the account started acting weird a few days ago—not letting me email myself (to a gmail account), refusing to put the email in the address field.
Thats the email associated with my computer, User ID.
Then it would no longer let me add new accounts in the preferences.
I would click the '+' sign, to add a new account, or choose it from the file options... Nothing. Nothing would happen.
It would let me delete accounts, but not add new ones.
I've tried EVERYTHING to fix this problem. I dragged the mail files out and trashed them, upgraded from snow leopard to lion and tried to reinstall the Mail package software — same problem. Finally, I deleted the user account on my Macbook Air — still the same problem with new Users.
When the Mail application opens, and guides me through the introduction, I can add one email address ONLY, then nothing else.
What gives?
Can anyone offer advice?

I upgraded to the latest iTunes 11.1.4, after a prompt from the iTunes store. But will not open after the upgrade. One of three error messages told me to reinstall. I did. Restarted and scanned. But no help there. So I unistalled and re installed from Apples' website. The installation was okay as usual but still will not open. Keep getting the same error messages. After upgrade attempt for 8310, device will not restart -- only blinking red light

Problem: I tried to upgrade the device software to 4.5, and now THE DEVICE WILL NOT RESTART AT ALL. Not with a hard reset. Not using the SIM and battery from my 8310 and putting it in hers. Nothing. Just a red light that blinks in a pattern: two quick blinks, then a pause; two quick blinks, then a pause, etc.
Background: This 8310 had vers. 4.2.2 device software, and something like 2.6 on the desktop. I downloaded/upgraded to 4.6 for the desktop and 4.5 for the device from the AT&T site. The Desktop manager prompted me to install the new device software... looking good. After several minutes, I got an "unknown error" message and it stopped the install.Following a support article, I uninstalled reinstalled both updates, but then the problem occurred: no NOTHING happens on the device screen at all, just the blinking red light when the device is plugged in.
The AT&T store tells me this is about the tenth "dead" Curve he's seen in about a week, apparently all occurring when folks have attempted a software updgrade. Any thoughts/help to offer?

After upgrade, my external hard drive will not back up

I upgraded to Mavericks.
I use a WD elements External hard drive for Time Machine. Since upgrade, it will not back up. I begin the process and the back up just hangs up. It says, preparing for back up. I have let it run for hours, and nothing occurs.

I just purchased 2 external hardrives. a LaCie Minimus and a G Drive. Each 1 TB. The guy at Apple told me that would provide 2 good TM backups for me. My internal HD has 750 GB capacity, of which I'm using 700 GB. Perhaps the ratio is not great enough. I do wish they would have told me this before I purchased the two Bummmmer! I even had them format and get the first back-ups going because of issues I've had in the past. I also just bought a 750 GB for photos.
So, I won't be able to buy another bigger external since I've just purchased 3. Ugh. Well, I'll just exclude some files and divide things up. Eventually, I just want my 20,000 iphotos on one of the 1TB externals, and a TM back-up on another so that iphoto will function once more. It really hates how many photos I have and is brutally punishing me for it.I seriously need to do some housecleaning!
Thanks for the advice. Just moved from US to Australia last week and was hoping to upload a few photos and the domino effect has lead me to this. Just went to Genius Bar in Perth today and they told me how to reformat drive to transfer iphoto library over, but I got stuck at trying to back-up my TM.

Created a new playlist in iTunes, it will not sync to ipad eith thru USB or WiFi.

Guys, I just performed the Itunes update and experienced the same (honestly I was expecting it),
My sollution was, clear up caches on both iPad 2 and iTunes.
Exactly what I did was the following:
1. Update iTunes.
2. Deactivate the home sharing on iTunes.
3. Disconect iPad from home sharing.
4. On iTunes>Preferences>Devices "Allow" the automatic sync for iPod, iPhone & iPad
5. Click on the button labeled "restart synchronization historical" (sorry, don't know how the button looks in English, mine is in Spanish)
6. Click Ok
7. To clear up iPad's caché I force reset the device by pressing and hold both buttons on the device (front and top)
8. Activate the home sharing on both devices again and voilá... there is my full blues collection again!
Maybe for some people it will work this way just fine and for others by doing in a different order, after all for what I see is a caché issue.
Let me know if it was of any help, I'm more PC than mac but network issues are the same and I'm more than glad to help and learn any time.

Check icloud.com to see if your calendar events are still there. If they are, add any missing ones from your phone, then go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then turn Calendars back on. Then try adding a new event on your phone and see if it appears on icloud.com now.

Itunes will not add new material to my iPad and iPhone

I have gotten a new imac and I am in the process of trying to reset up my ipad, and iphone. I cannot seem to add new content to either of these. I tell itunes to add certain pictures or music files, but it is not adding them onto either. I have had to restore factory setting to get the ipod up and running.

Some people have reported exactly the same thing and the culprit appeared to be itunes Match. Some people wait for it to resolve itself >1day or othere switch off itunes match and re-import

You currently have Mac OS X 10.6.8 installed, downloaded 10.9.x from the Mac App Store? If so there should be an Installer for Mac OS X in the Finder, Applications folder if it has not yet installed. Exactly what does it give as the name for the installer and how big is it, should be a little larger than 5 GB.

After upgrade to 7.5, itunes will not start

I have itunes installed on my pc at work (xp pro, corporate software controlled, etc), and itunes has been working fine for months until i recently upgraded to 7.5 (i think). After the upgrade, itunes would not launch. No error messages, no nothing; just a quick hourglass and then nothing, as if I had never clicked on the icon. I spent hours uninstalling, deleting folders, registry keys, etc, and following Apple's steps for uninstall.
Turns out that my corp software Landesk 8.7x, specifically, "LANDESK Software Monitor Service" (softmon.exe) is killing itunes before it has a chance to start up. This was verified by stopping the service, and starting up itunes. Another strange thing is now itunes complains on startup about being in compatibility mode, which is not the case according to the program settings when i right click on itunes.exe.
If I restart the landesk softmon server while itunes is running, itunes immediately terminates without warning.
I do have themes disabled on my pc (looks like classic/2000 layout instead of xp candy)
My only guess here is that somehow Itunes is thinking it is in compat mode, but why. This is new.. Perhaps some bugginess? or perhaps something new in Landesk (my landesk version was recently upgraded..)
I also have Symantec Corp AV, and Sygate firewall (ughh!!) but they don't seem to be causing the issue.
Definately seems to be an issue between Landesk softmon and itunes.
Any ideas apple? The only other person to notice this that i can see is a user by the name of ponderingwonderer on this board...

btw, i have submitted a bug report to apple.
softmon.exe version is 8.70.7.8
