TS1369 iPod Classic suddenly not being recognized in iTunes on MacBook Pro
I just got a new MacBook Pro a few weeks ago, and have had no issues connecting my iPod Classic to it via iTunes. Yesterday, however, my iPod stopped registering in iTunes. I checked in the System Reports on my MacBook, and I can see that the USB Hub is acknowledging that the iPod is there, AND the iPod is charging when connected so I know it's not a connection issue with the cord, however the iPod still isn't registering in iTunes. If I plug up my iPhone, though, it shows up so it's likely not the computer either. My iPod is working fine and has been connecting fine until yesterday morning when it suddenly just didn't apear anymore. I need to fix it ASAP! Help!

My iTunes library won't recognize my iPod classic 80gb. I try doing the trouble shooting steps on apple, but they still did not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd love to add some newer music to my old iPod for listening in the car or when travelling. Thanks a lot.

I’m unable to write/burn a CD-R (Verbatim) from a playlist after upgrading to iTunes 12.0.1.26. I get error 4000. I can however write/burn a CD from Windows Explorer and CDBurnerXP v4.5.4.5143 – which implies the device is working OK – and only fails when I write from iTunes. The drivers are up to date

Also, you mentioned that you have been successful burning a CD with the Windows OS. Make sure that you have closed all software programs that can access the CD burner so that there isn't a conflict for the drive. Sometimes chaning the burn speed from "maximum" to 8x can also help in this situation.

QuickTime in Safari cannot play video after upgrading to iTunes 10.2
After upgrading to iTunes 10.2 and QuickTime 10 on my MacBook Pro, the latest Quicktime version embedded in Safari is behaving strangely. When I want to play video on certain websites like " http://www.lynda.com/Aperture-3-tutorials/essential-training/59221-2.html ", the Quicktime logo on Safari browser appears and just sits there with sound only. I tried it on Firefox, the video can only be played on the lower part of my suddenly splitted screen, there is an "error" message on a Quicktime logo background.
Could anybody help me solve the problem. By the way, all these videos can be played normally on my Windows 7 desktop using both Firefox and Safari for Windows.To make the matter more weird, the QuickTime plays normally on my Safari after I log out and switch to the administrator account of the MacBook Pro. When I change back to a normal account, the QuickTime error takes place again. It seems there must be something I configured wrongly.

After upgrading to Itunes 10.5 and connecting the IPAD. I get a following message. How do I resolve this issue. There is no other way to download itunes to ipad other than the itunes on your computer or laptop. I am a windows xp user.

To my surprise, the version is shown as 10.0.1.22. I will uninstall itunes and try loading the same again. After uninstalling do we need to delete any registry entries for Windows XP.

Anyone having issues with USB port power after upgrading to iTunes 11.1?
After upgrading to itunes 11.1, I can no longer use the USB ports on my wired keyboard to synch my iPhone 4s, ipod Nano, and Ipad 2. Previously, I could use this port to synch and charge the nano and iphone, and synch (but not charge) my iPad. Now I simply get an error when I attach any of the devices ("a usb device needs more power").
I currently use all four of the USB ports on the back of my imac (UPS power supply, aformentioned keyboard, a Lacie backup drive that has its own power supply, and a superdrive). Interestingly, when I unplug the Superdrive (which is plugged directly into the mac on a separate USB port), the USB port on the keyboard will work. Unplugging any of the other 2 devices does not allow the port on the to work.
I bought the wired keyboard to have the easily accessible UBS port to synch my nano as well as the fact I needed a number pad.Get yourself a good self-powered 7 port USB hub to plug your extra devices into.

have upgraded and some songs which used to play on iTunes 7 no longer play. album art is missing. when trying to play on of these songs, nothing appears in the playbar at the top of the window.
it seems the same problem exists in the mac os environment.The solution I discovered to fix this problem was to create a smart playlist with all song of a kind containing MPEG. Then I went through album by album, and coverted ID3 tags using the value of NONE. This then enabled me to play the songs in iTunes 8.0 and in many cases restored the Album Art.

IPod classic will not sync after iTunes upgrade
After upgrading to the latest version of iTunes - 10.6.1.7 - yesterday, my iPod classic is not recognized and I cannot sync it.
The iPod does appear as a drive on my computer (with Windows XP). The screen message on the iPod states that it is synching with iTunes, the iTunes message states it is synching with the iPod - but the iPod does not download anything new from iTunes and it does not appear as a device on iTunes.
I've gone through the steps for troubleshooting; I've tried syncing the iPod on two different computers - unfortunately both of which have been upgraded to the latest version of iTunes - with the exact same results.
It worked fine before I upgraded iTunes and I'm at a loss on how to fix this. Is there some way to uninstall the upgrade and reinstall the old version?

I have a work computer I've used for my iTunes synch base due to broadband access. The system had worked well enough with 64 bit XP and a few registration tweaks to calm itunes about working in that old environment. Forward to 2 weeks ago - I copy my library to the network drive so that IT can scrub the computer and upgrade me to Win 7. Computer is back up, install the newest version if iTunes, seems to come up fine. Several rounds of re-importing the library after it kept entering all the songs twice. Go to re-synch the ipod - get the 'this is a new device, erase *EVERYTHING* and re-synch. Yep yep. Sits there for nearly two hours saying it's re-uploading stuff. Then on the way home, I see - hey, a ton of stuff isn't there, lots of missing podcasts. Go check, everything is checked, new stuff downloaded, can listen to it on the PC with headphones. Then go synch the iPod - get the same 'things are updating..... synch finished'. And nothing has up- or down-loaded. Tried unchecking stuff, nada. Import new stuff, nada. Nothing Plus it looks like pretty much every CD i ripped into itunes for the past 4-5 months failed to move - maybe iTunes was saving it somewhere else than the My Music folder. PITA-factor of that aside, I'd really like to get at the last 3-4 weeks of podcasts. Any help on getting the system to actually do a real sy
My other changes in the last few weeks are getting a new iPhone to replace an old non-iPhone, so there is another devicee on the account. I don't see my iPod listed amongst my devices in the iTunes store - not sure if that's only for wireless stuff.

Lost music files after upgrading to itunes 7
Hi, can someone please confirm whether or not my music files have been physically deleted from my computer after upgrading to itunes 7. Many of the songs in my playlist, including MOST of the songs purchased through itunes come up with the error that the original file can't be found. I've done searches and can't come up with the files.
I want to know if they are indeed gone.
I realize that you click "I agree" to the agreement before installing and as of now this "contract" has held up. However, we'll see how well it holds up when offered software is knowingly removing personal files. I'm sure that if someone were to write a virus that destroys your computer, if it had a warning message with an "I agree" button, it would be a very difficult contract to stand by.
To my recollection, no software in the past has physically removed personal files from your harddrive on install.
So, I don't think a precedence has been set for this kind of class action.and we refresh.

Lost iTunes Library after upgrading to iTunes 7.7 HELP PLEASE
I have two issues on hand : after upgrading to iTunes 7.7 I opened iTunes and all of my music was gone except for about 1,000+ songs (3.2 GB) when I originally had about 20GB worth of songs. How can I recover my full library into iTunes ?
Second issue: when importing new CDs into iTunes 7.7 it only plays a fraction of each song before moving on to another song, whereas iTunes shows that I have the full song imported.
I really appreciate someone's help here, and does the latest version of iTunes have a bug ??Further to my last post, I find that the purchased songs have been retained in the iTunes Library of my Mac Book - is there any way iI can restore them to the iMac?

After upgrading to iTunes 9.2, I am unable to type into text or search fields within iTunes.
Haven't tried all fields, but I've seen it in both search in iTunes and the iTunes store, and also trying to create folders on my iPhone (through iTunes only, it works fine on the phone).
Anyone else seen this or have an idea for a fix?

After upgrading to itunes 7.3.1.3 I can't run the backup to dics anymore.
After upgradeing to itunes 7.3.1.3.1 I can not run the backup any more. Also the CD burning runs very slow.
The DVD burner run ok with other software.
After it checks for file to be backed up it kept ejecting the blank DVD and asking for a blank disc.
I have even replaced the DVD drive with drive from another computer.I also reinstalled ITUNES once-- It ran as a repair during the install.I have used this same DVD Burner to backup my list from within iTunes before. I did this back in June just after I purchase 30 songs. I think I was running version 7.1 or 7.2 when the DVD backup worked. If not sopport then why does their diagnostics say DVD/CD Diagnostics. Even so I have the same problem on my other PC with a CD Burner. I think Apple support sound a little like Microsoft. I once had a problem with Windows NT and had to call MS support 5 times before they said their software had a defect and issued a patch.
