After upgrade to reader X printing more than 1 page is slow

Last week we upgraded from Adobe Reader 9.4 NL to Adobe Reader X MUI. When I open a PDF document consisting of 2 pages or more, printing seems very slow. When we printed a 3 page document in v9.4 I hardly saw the printing progress bar and it printed. now, in version X, I see a progress bar and every page takes about 4 tot 6 (presumably spooling) seconds before it actually starts printing on our printer(s).
The only thing changed is the software, printers are still the same, drivers are PCL; this was no issue in version 9.4.
It this a bug in the new version or do I need to finetune one or more settings within Reader X itself?

Did you ever figure out your problem? I'm having same one.

We have the same problem with our TOSHIBA e-STUDIO6540C. We've tried different versions of adobe reader, even acrobat and many times it will only print some pages of any given document. Did you find a solution? To me it sounds like a toshiba issue but just wondering.

Adobe strongly recommends that you should NOT have Acrobat and Reader installed on the same system. They have the bad habit on stepping on each other's files. You do not need both programs to read PDF files.
You should uninstall Reader and repair Acrobat. I also recommend that you restart after removing Reader and after repairing Acrobat.

HP C7280 LaserJet wont print more than 2 pages!!

HP Laserjet Photosmart C7280 AllInOne will not print more than 2 pages when I ask for more!! Use Win7HomePrem, just upgraded to new laptop, drivers are all up-to-date, wireless setup fine. What Is The FiX??? Worked fine on old XP desktop.

The printer acts as it has finished the job (plays it's happy song). I am trying to print a summary of my Amazon ebook orders, @ 14 pages, double sided onto 7 pieces of paper total. Print preview will only show 2 pages total but only with print on 3 pages (barely any print on 3rd page) and it ends the page as if it is end of doc with Amazon's footer info on last page printed. No error codes from printer. Only in print preview if I try to tell it to print "page 1 to14" it will tell me it can't do, comes up in red print.

Problem with printing more than one page (ghostscript broken?)

since one of the last package updates I have problems with printing more than one page. The print problems occurs as well with pdf files as well with printing websites. I use an actual KDE system with commercial turboprint printer driver. The first page always prints fine, but all consecutive pages are corrupted. As from a similar problem some months ago, I assume a broken ghostscript package. I tried to downgrade ghostscript to check that, but I get depency problems:

This may not be related but I had a problem printing a pdf today whereby the second page got corrupted. The same pdf had printed fine several months ago. I realised that (long story) for some reason I had switched drivers (HP printer) from hpijs to hpcups. I installed the printer again as a "new" printer using the hpijs driver and it printed properly this time.
So it may be that the bug causes issues with some drivers. You could try an alternative driver for the printer as temporary workaround?

P1006 - networked with XP and VIsta-64 not printing more than 2 pages

Hello - I have a dilemma with my HP P1006. I have the printer directly plugged in (USB) with my XP (32bit) PC. I have a Vista-64 PC networked with it. Both (XP-32 and Vista-64) are plugged in directly to the router (not wireless). My question is why can I not print more than two pages at a time with items opened on the Vista-64 PC? I CAN print more than two pages with items opened in the XP-32.
Things I've done:
1 - uninstalled everything & reinstalled the latest drivers for the XP-32.
2 - marked the printer as "sharing" on the XP-32.
3 - confirmed the printer is marked "enable bidirectional sharing" under the printer properties on the XP-32 PC.
Things I perplexed about:
1 - why won't items (docs, webpages, etc.) print more than two pages at a time from the Vista-64 PC?
2 - is there any reason that I should download a driver for the Vista-64 OS? If so, which PC do I download it to?
3 - I have another printer (Lexmark inkjet) connected in the same way (except it is a serial port not USB) and it can print more than two pages of a document at one time with no problem from either the XP-32 or Vista-64 PC? Why?
Any thoughts on this situation? Any suggestions are greatly appreciate.

I just get a system message at teh bottom of teh screen saying "output cannot be issued " and it remains on teh same screen . I goto t-code va23 and enter my quotation number and on the top I select sales document ...issue output and select my output type and print preview or prnit , it comes out of that screen into the first screen and at the bottom gives msg "Output cannot be issued". I beleiev its not allowing the smartform to display when there are more than 2 pages , because I tried it with a contact which has 2 pages and it shows output but when I try with the one having more items i.e more than 2 pages it comes out of it . Its a smartform issue and something in the smartform is causing problem I beleive.

K5400 will not print more than one page at a time.

The K5400 Office Jet Pro will not print more than one at a time when I change the number of pages to print in Printing Preferences. I have downloaded all the updates available and have tried many times.
Using a Windows XP SP3 computer.

Hi,
The HP Deskjet 1050 All In One can perform multiple copies at a time. To perform a multiple copy, press the Copy Black or Copy Color button as many times as the copy is required. A maximum of 10 copies can be performed at a time.

Steps to perform a reset.
Press the Power button ( ) to turn off the product.

Wait 30 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.

Why can't I print more than one page?

I'm pring a lafge text:

That is I use one af:inputText with many rows.
To send it for pring I use JavaScript.

When printing it clips the text. If the text is more than one page it print only one page. I need to continue printing on the next pages (not to clip). When printing othe web-pages it distributes it onto several paper pages.

How can I print more than one page of an internet site?

When I try to print pages from internet sites (Facebook, Merchant Circle, Linked In, NBC.com, etc.), Firefox will only print the first page.
In order to print more information, it is necessary to reduce the scale of the print so more of the information will print on the first page.
How can I print out more than just one page of a website without having to make the print so small that I cannot read it when it prints?

Firefox has problems with some style rules.
First, it's always helpful to use any print-formatted or print-optimized version of the page. Sometimes there is a link for this.
Second, in some cases you need to use this trick: press Ctrl+a to select all content on the page, then Ctrl+p to display the print dialog, and click the radio button next to Selection.
Those tricks don't always work, but hopefully they will help.

Can not print more than 32767 pages

We have develop an application using vb.net 2005 using Crystal Reports for .Net that is used to print returns with very large amount of pages. For some reason when the program generates a report with more that 32767 pages it displays ok in the ReportViewer but whe you try to print all the pages it just sends an error. I try using the PrintToPrinter method of the ReportDocument and it does the same thing, once I specify in the parameters to print a page greater than 32767 it just does not do it.
I don't know if it has to do with the fact that a small integer or Short data type (int16) has a max value of 32767, but the specifications of the paramaters of the function PrintToPrinter are set as Integer not as Short...Help please!!!

HP Photosmart 5520 printer not printing more than 4 pages at a time.

Hi,
I have just purchased this printer - stoked about the duplex printing to save of paper etc. . . .
However it prints maximum of 4 pages (word, pdf etc) at a time. Kind of pointless having a wireless printer where you have to sit by the printer anyway & have to reprint a document about a million time. And then sometimes it will print up to page 3 only, so wasting paper. Sometimes the printing stops mid page.
I wont even begin to talk about how I have tried to print a photo, 3/4 of a 6*4 is the maximum that will print.
Am kind of thinking its a waste of a $160.....NOT HAPPY.
I have tried installing and reinstalling to no avail. . . what else can I try?

I read through the document and NOT COMFORTABLE not having virus scanning software installed on my computer.
My two other printers work perfectly, however, lacking the wireless capability & duplexing and "printing from anywhere" I really want to move beyond them.
The only step I hadn't preformed was a system restore, which I will attempt now. However how do I ensure I have up to date firmware? I only have recently installed the printer using the website as recommended by the printer. . .
I struggle to think of how the printer has capability to print from "anywhere" it doesn't even tell you when connected that it fails at page x of x. . . . it just makes you think the whole thing is printed until you find on the printer it hasn't.
Sigh!

After upgrade,stderr3 file is growing more than capacity of the file system

The file is located in /usr/sap/C11/DVEBMGS00/ work/ folder was increasing rapidly. How to reduce the file size? How to truncate?

1. Could you check out SAP note 1140307 ? Update the kernel patch stated in that note, if yours is old.
2. normally, what I will do is to check the content of stderr3. see what information that keep written in repeatedly.
3. Check if you have lot of inconsistencies in the temse. See SAP note 48400
At the moment, delete stderr file which it is not active from operating sytem level.
Kindly refer to SAP note 16513 (File system is full- What to do)

CUPS - can't seem to print more than one page

Most of the time, it actually doesn't print anything. There's nothing in the error log. The job simply graduates to finished state without printing. Or some times, if I'm lucky, it'll print the first page, and graduate the job to finish state.

pacman -Rd cups
yaourt -S cups-usblp
and do NOT blacklist usblp.
PS: I also updated the wiki to recommend cups-usblp for samsung printers.
