After upgrading to FF7, I get Corrupted Content Error on certain web pages, Why?

After upgrading to FF7, I get Corrupted Content Error on certain web pages, Why? When I try to log in to certain sites to get email or when I try to access a few sites I get a Corrupted Content Error message. If I use Internet explorer the sites work fine. I disabled my entire Norton internet security program and there was no change. Current OS is windows 7 on a hp platform.

You can get such an error if there are multiple location redirects send via the HTTP response headers.<br />
Firefox doesn't allow that for security reasons.

  • I recently upgrated to latest Firefox 7.0.1. I am getting Corrupted Content Error trying to load pages on certain web sites. Try again works but not the initial attempt. Is there a fix for this.

This frequently happens with I select an article in an email from New York and it tries to load that article from http://www.nytimes.com/. It also happens when I select the URL below. I tried Internet Explorer with the URL below and did not experience the problem.

This is not a cure but will make it easier if Firefox locks up.

  • When trying to generate pdf file from firefox 7.0.1 , getting corrupt content error, used to work with previous versions of firefox

We have done toleration testing on firefox version 5 thru 6 and haven't got an issue with our website generating pdf files for our users. One of our users upgraded to firefox version 7.0.1 and they tried to generate a pdf report, now a screen pops up with Corrupted Content Error The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. I recreated this issue on my pc yesterday by installing firefox 7.0.1. Any hints as to what I need to look at would help. Cannot provide the url because it is a secure website for law enforcement. Thanks.

You can turn off compatibility checking, but more and more of the Google Toolbar will not work. Google is no longer supporting the Google Toolbar so you should use the alternatives.
    Hi Mark,
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Using_Google_Toolbar_features_without_toolbars

As per your pots in the other topic you need to check if there any updated software for your drivers - you can do this via the windows update option or by checking the manufacturer of your drivers website to see if they have any software for users such as yourself who are using windows 10.

What kind of mapping is that ? Graphical, Java, XSLT, ABAP ?
The XML parser in 7.1 contains many subtle changes compared to 3.0
But this error sounds like a bug. Is there something special in the XML input ? is it wellformed-XML ?

  • Corrupt Content Error after Upgrade to 7.0.1

Ever since I upgraded to 7.0.1., I've been having problems with multiple websites generated a Corrupted Content Error when I try to load them. I NEVER had this before I allowed Firefox to update! I've double checked my version and it is, indeed, 7.0.1.
This is what the message looks like:
    Corrupted Content Error
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected.
    - The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.
Most frequently, I get this error when trying to play an online game, Tribal Wars, and attempting to load the initial game overview page. As soon as that page starts to load, I get this:
    http://en58.tribalwars.net/login.php?sid=ff6d10ff22d2&secret=0&mobile_no_force=0&t=9154041
If I click on TRY AGAIN, I then get this:
    http://en58.tribalwars.net/cookie.php?url=game.php%3Fscreen%3Doverview_villages%26intro&&t=9154041
If I click on TRY AGAIN, I then get this:
    http://en58.tribalwars.net/game.php?screen=overview_villages&intro&t=9154041
At that point, the page finally loads. Again, I get this "Corrupted Content Error" with numerous pages now and it is quite infuriating.
Furthermore, I'm getting DNS lookup errors right and left whereas before, I did not. Other than the update to Firefox, nothing else has changed. So this may be the result of that update, or I may have yet ANOTHER problem with Hughesnet. This I have not resolved and its like looking for a friggen needle in a haystack.
I'm totally perplexed. Whereas I've LOVED Firefox, all of a sudden I'm rethinking that and beginning to consider scrapping it for something else.
Any assistance here would be appreciated.

I get this on firefox. I get this on waterfox. I get this on nightly. I don't get it on chrome. I don't get it on internet explorer. I don't get it on comodo dragon. I don't get it on arora. I don't get it on konqueror...... Anyone noticing a pattern here?
I'm willing to admit that it's probably something to do with my isp server, so Mozilla can feel holier than thou about it, but if that's the way they insist on going, I suggest that the next time they upgrade, they call their browser Canute.

I have been trying to fix this for 4 weeks , several visits to the apple store ... all irrelevant suggestions , was even told to buy an Apple TV ten 3 as it was an issue with HD steaming only supported on the new unit ...
I do not go on these sites , but Apple are losing the plot these days  ...
Here is what I found that fixed the issue for me ...
    1) go to Gen\network\DNS
    2) It will be set to Auto , for some reason the DNS is being set to you router , not your service provider ...
    3) I am with Charter (do a quick search charter DNS on the Web) , will give you their DNS ,
    Charter DNS Servers
    http://www.charter.com
    Primary DNS: 24.196.64.53
    Secondary DNS:
View all United States of America DNS Servers
    4) Go to manaul and set the DNS to the service prover
    5) should be good to go ...
Why we have to go to the level to solve this stuff I have no idea ..... hope it helps ....

  • After upgrading iTunes I keep getting asked to authorize account to play songs purchased with a very old hotmail account i don't have and can't recover the password. How can I authorize my songs again.

After upgrading iTunes I keep getting asked to authorize account to play songs purchased with a very old hotmail account (10 years) I don't have anymore and can't recover the password. How can I authorize my songs again? I tried to sign in to hotmail again and it says i don't have an account, but when I try to create a new one with the same name, it says one already exists.
When I try to recover the password from Apple, it of course wants to send an email to the account I can't get into, and when I try to do the security questions, it says my DOB is incorrect. How can that be wrong?! I am pretty sure I know my exact birthdate. Now I can't listen to a bunch of my music.

    Hey gwscrt,
Since iTunes directed to you to restore your iPod, I'd check out the following article that goes over the steps to do so:
    Restoring iPod to factory settings
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1339
I would read the document in full, but here are the applicable steps for you:
    How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
    Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.
    Have a good one,
    David

  • I often get pages that say my page can't open because of Corrupted Content Error. What causes this to happen?

'''I am writing to you regarding many instances when i try to open a page no matter what account or application i use it will say
Corrupted Content Error and therefore i can't get any information and have to keep trying until eventually a page will open but at the top of the page in the browser it will show a ! sign and telling me something about the page not being encripted or something about the identity not being safe. i don't know how to fix it so it will be secure enough to browse on. Can you tell me how to repair that?

I just got out of a chat with Apple Support. They are sending me a free disc copy of iWork 09, which is very nice. Unfortunately, other than getting a copy of 09, it doesn't look like there is a solution to making the files compatible.

  • I can no longer access my Hughes Email in box. With FireFox 7. 0.1 Log in show 2 Emails in box, but when clicked on says Corrupted Content Error Can access with Safari

  • What does the corrupted content error message mean when FireFox 7.0.1 tries to open a web page?

Corrupted Content Error. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Ever since FireFox updated to 7.0.1 this error occurs.
Signing out of Hotmail generates that message I mentioned: Corrupted Content Error. The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because an error in the data transmission was detected. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Ever since FireFox updated to 7.0.1 this error occurs. How do I stop it? Now it appears to be doing it across multiple websites. The TRY AGAIN button always comes up when initially trying to load a webpage - very frustrating.

You can get a "Corrupted Content Error" error if there are multiple location redirects send via the HTTP response headers or other entries may be wrong.
