After upgrading to Firefox 3.6.11, the browser does not see my previous browsing history, and does not save new history. places.sqlite is still in place. Is there a way to fix this without erasing previous history?

Bookmarks are still being updated and saved. Recently closed tabs, Recently closed windows are being recorded as they should. I have a single .json file on my profile directory, search.json. I don't know if there should be another one for the browsing history. It looks like some index file for the history database was lost or corrupted, or re-created as an empty file. places.sqlite-journal has zero bytes; places.sqlite-stmtjrnl has 37 kbytes, date 2008-07-15.

I kept trying to solve this problem, and after a few unsuccessful attempts, the only thing which worked was uninstalling Firefox (keeping all my customizations) and then reinstalling Firefox 3.6.10 (which is apparently no longer available at mozilla.org, but which I could easily find at filehippo.com). The unsuccessful attempts I made were: (1) Install Firefox 4 beta; (2) uninstall Firefox 4 beta, Firefox 3.6.11 (in both uninstalls, keeping my customizations), and reinstall Firefox 3.6.11.
So right now I am stuck at Firefox 3.6.10, or I will loose access to my browsing history. If anyone at Mozilla.org is reading this, I would suggest taking a look at this issue to see if it can be reproduced and fixed. I am running Windows XP (fully updated), Brazilian Portuguese version.

My Photos app works the same on iOS 5 as it did on iOS 4 i.e. I can have a different track for each album. When I select a track for a photo album I then start the slideshow so that it shows the first couple of photos with the track playing - I'm not sure it's necessary to start the slideshow but I always do and it remembers that track for that album.

Plugins usually are installed externally to Firefox. However, you can disable them in Firefox so that Firefox does not use them.
SearchReset is supposed to automate the task of resetting certain preferences, but you still can edit them manually if necessary.

Usually it works to choose your preferred search engine from the drop-down. To remove an unwanted search engine plugin, usually the Manage Search Engines... choice at the bottom of the drop-down takes care of it.

On the plus side if you used iCloud or synced with iTunes theres a good chance you will get most of your data back after restoring

You want to see a green light on the Time Capsule.
Once you have set up the Time Capsule initially, a flashing amber light indicates that the Time Capsule has a message for you....possibly about a network condition or notice of an update that is available.
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click on the amber dot and another window will appear to provide the current status....along with suggested actions to remedy the flashing amber light.

Could be due to many things. You could have damaged something during the screen replacement. I would take it to someone with more experience.

I recently switched from AT&T for a cheaper price, but so far my experience connection-wise across Chicago has been absolutely terrible. Where I used to get 4-5 bars 4GLTE in my apartment at 60640, I now get 3G if I'm lucky (have NEVER seen 1X before on AT&T even in the most remote of locations).
I also have poor connections near my work at 60611. Had (again) a bar of 1X and the person next to me had 3 bars 4G LTE with AT&T again.

My iPhone 4 backlight is very dim. Is there a way to fix this without replacing anything?

One day I was listening to music in the morning and then put my iPhone 4 away. Later, when I went to check something it seemed as if it were turned off. I assumed I shut it off so I turned it on again. When I realized it wouldnt turn on, I thought the battery died so I waited until I got home to charge it. After about an hour it still didnt turn on, or atleast I believed it didnt. I soon saw the apple after I restored it. When I finished, I realized the backlight was dim so I then highered the backlight. Nothing. Then I turned off auto-brightness. Nothing. Then I turned it back on. Still nothing. So as you can see, I tried almost everything. I did other things but I really dont want to make this longer than it is. In the end I did restore it, restart it, reset it, higher the brightness, shut it off and then turn it on again, and turned on/off the auto-brightness. If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated.
( P.S If I really try, I can see the icons but it's only under direct light)

The display and the backlight work seperatly. If the backlight is not working, you will still be able to see the icons, just not very well.

Firefox is suddenly always on top. This keeps happening every few days. Is there some way to fix this without doing a reset? Why is it happening?

Using Firefox 27.0.1. Suddenly firefox always wants to be on top. I do not know why this is happening now. The only fix I can find is advice to reset firefox. But I am having to reset firefox every week. This is unacceptable. I'm about to throw up my hands and find another web browser. Can someone please suggest another solution?

Hmm, that is strange that your phone number is greyed out. There are a few things that we can try. First would be to turn iMessages off, then back on. See if you are able to select your phone number. Then if that doesn't work, turn iMessages back off, then reset the network settings....settings>general>reset>reset network settings, this will reboot the phone. Don't worry, it won't delete anything from the phone, it simulates a battery pull. Once the device comes back on, then turn iMessages back on. Keep us posted if that works!
