After upgrading to iOS 5.0.1 Ipad 1 battery will not charge

iOS 5.0.1 is a disaster. Ipad does not charge. iTunes does not recognize. Reset does not fix. Have held down both buttons for 15 seconds as suggested and also done a full reset from the settings menu.
So far I have a slowly discharging POS that is not reognized by my computer.
Any suggestions?

I tried this and iTunes still fails to recognize the iPad. I am using a MacBook Air running 10.7.2
Seems to be a serious issue. I recommend all to pause before considering this upgrade.
To add insult to injury I am travelling so wont be near an apple store for a couple of weeks.

I just got the iBooks update and that fixed the problem, except the book covers look like they were done in a government printing office.

Hi, after upgrading to iOS 7.03 my ipad freezes, but the clock is still running. So i reset it and it works again. I'm using the logitech solar keyboard folio with it. It has worked flawlessly before the upgrade. It seems to happen intermittently. When it first happened I had the keyboard lock on. Then the screen was black, but when connecting it to my pc, itunes could recognize the ipad and I could backup everything. It happened occasionally, so I removed the keyboard lock. This seemed to help at first, but now it freezes anyways. Only difference is I can see the background and my apps on one of the pages. And the clock is running.
Help much appriciated.

Same issue also. Occurring both on my iPad 2 and iPhone 4 after upgrading to ios 5
By the way, Mattban and Sancasslano, are either of you also experiencing any of the following issues:
* Problems with Contacts either crashing or listing no names
* Problems with turning iCloud on or off for application under Settings->iCloud... On both mine I just get a pop up saying that iCloud is being turned off but Contacts then just locks up.
* General problems when trying to synch applications on the iPad or iPhone over iCloud?
I am wondering if all these issues are in someway related to and whether it is worth trying to turn off iCloud somehow, though I cannot work out how this can be done once set up.

If you have all your music on the cmputer then i would connect up my phone uncheck the Sync Music option and apply.
This should take all the music off your phone .Then you can resync the music back on to it.
If this doesn't work maybe a restore to factory settings and start from scratch is the way to go

A specific example is that I subscribe to the Pittsburgh Pirates MLB calendar, which updates the post season schedule in iCal. None of these updates show up on the iPhone.

Good morning, I installed ios6 on the new iPad and siri will not work. Each time I try to use siri she says "uh oh, I'm having a problem. Please try again. I have tried turning siri off and back on again. Resetting the iPad, resetting the network, turning Airplane Mode off and on again. All to know avail. My iphone 5 works great and so does my wife's iphone 4s with ios6. I have called Apple support but there only suggestion was that the servers were busy. If that was the case my other devices would not work either. Plus the servers wouldn't be busy for four days. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. I was looking forward to using siri on the new iPad and other folks don't seem to be having a problem.

Then you need to change your device details as this still says iPad2.
It's very possible Apple's servers have been busy for 4 days as not everyone downloaded iOS 6 on the day it was announced. I downloaded it last Friday, myself, as an example.
There are a millions and millions of people using Apple iDevices.
Just because everything went fine with the iOS 6 updates of your iPhone 4 and 5 doesn't mean something couldn't have gone wrong with an update to your iPad3
If the iOS update missed something during the download, I am not sure how to go about re-downloading iOS 6 to fix the issue you are having.

Ipad mini Battery is not charging fully

My iPad mini brought 2 weeks Battery is not charging fully only up to 90% in 5 hours of charging

A few others have reported this same problem. Just unplug the charger and then replug. It should resume charging to 100%.

Follow these instructions to uninstall MacKeeper. They have been tested with the most recent version of MacKeeper (v 2.8). Earlier versions than the one released in 2012 require more extensive work to uninstall all its components.
The effects of having actually used MacKeeper to do anything are a completely different matter. The fastest way to take an exquisitely designed and painstakingly engineered Mac and make it run like a steaming pile of dung is to install and use such ill-conceived "cleaning" or "security" products. This is just one example of a broad category of time- and money-wasters capable of causing damage that can only be rectified by reinstalling OS X, restoring from a backup, or completely erasing your system and rebuilding it from the ground up. Never install such junk on a Mac.
If you used MacKeeper to encrypt any files or folders, use MacKeeper to un-encrypt them first.
Quit the MacKeeper app if it is running.
Open your Applications folder: Using the Finder's Go menu, select Applications.
Drag the MacKeeper icon from your Applications folder (not the Dock) to the Trash.
You will be asked to authenticate (twice):
You do not need to provide a reason for uninstalling it:
Just click the Uninstall MacKeeper button. You will be asked to authenticate again.
After it uninstalls you may empty the Trash and restart your Mac. All that will remain is an inert log file that does nothing but occupy space on your hard disk.

I just upgraded my OS to 10.8 and now my LaCie P'9230 USB 3.0 external drive will not mount. I have re-installed the USB driver and re-booted the computer and drive several times to no avail; any ideas/help?

It's my understanding that LaCie hasn't released a Mountain Lion driver for their PCIe card yet. Sonnet uses a modified version of the LaCie driver and theirs is dead in the water too for that reason-they also warn that their driver won't work with 10.7.5 when it's released.
Indeed, yesterday I pulled the Sonnet USB 3.0 card from my Mac Pro and replaced it with a CalDigit card from OWC; CalDigit has separate drivers for 10.6, 10.7 and 10.8 and I can say that the card works with all three, the first time in 1.5 years that I've had a reliable USB 3.0 connection.
