After upgrading to ios 5.01 my iphone 4 died one day after
I updated my iphone 4 to ios 5.01. on the second day after upgrading (recharged the phone during the night) the phone shut off alone and there is no way to start it up. I plugged it to the computer and iTunes does not recognize it
You got it downloaded and I assume you mean it is installed as well. It was buggy for me.
I had to close and restarted iTunes before I could use it properly.
Then, I had to unplug and replug in my phone before it recognises it.
Just had to try everything. As final choice, update over the air. I try to avoid it as it tends to have more problems than a tethered update.

URGENT ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE NEEDED
Hi all the experts out there. I have no problem upgrading to IOS 6 on my iPhone 4S, but when I did the same onto my iPhone 4, after re-start I just cannot connect to WiFi! I had no probelm with this connection PRIOR TO the upgrade. I called the Apple Call Centre, and the technician admitted that this is a problem. And he advised me to pushed both Power on and Home buttons together for 10 seconds and re-start the phone. I did that, but still the phone cannot connect to WiFi. I have restored to pre-IOS 6 on my iMac, but for some reason, the iOS 6 stays in the phone!

SangA lot of us did. The way I fixed mine was to go into the WiFi settings and forget the network. After that, look for it again and sign in.
Other people were successful trying different things. If this doesn't work, then search the board. You'll find something. -

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :) -

After downloadeing and upgrading the IOS to IO7 the iphone was restarted and locked with an unknown passcode by itself !! What should I do??

How do I get my ringtones back on my phone?
I lost my ringtones from my phone when I upgraded to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4. The ringtones are still on my computer and play in iTunes, but they won't re-transfer back to the phone. I'm using the correct iTunes account on both my computer and phone. In the iPhone view of iTunes on my computer, it shows that my phone recognizes that I had those ringtones, but there is an exclamation mark showing that my phone can't find the files. I can't delete these "placeholders" from my phone with the hopes of re-transfering the files back to the phone, either. I cannot just simply re-transfer the files from my computer back to the phone. It won't let me using the regular synch options and I can't find anything in the menus of iTunes to help me out either.
Any advice would be much appreciated.Ignore. I figured it out:)

My iTunes hasn't worked since upgrading to iOS 7 on my iPhone 4S
I ugraded to iOS 7 on my iPhone 4S the other day and since then it hasn't allowed me to acces my iTunes, it doesn't crash when I open it but it only comes up with a blank screen. Because of this, my iMessage and notifications for things like Facebook and Instagram haven't been working. Any ideas on how to fix this or has anyone else experienced these problems?
Since upgrading to ios8 on iPhone 4s, I am having a number of bluetooth issues with my motorcycle headset.
1) I can no longer answer an incoming call by pressing the connect button on the headset, however, i can make outgoing calls ok (initiated using Siri).
2) I am unable to terminate a call by pressing the connect/disconnect button.
The headset "connect button" is still working ok for starting/stopping music and other functions - it just seems to be phone call related.
Is anyone else using a motorcycle headset having similar issues? (Mine is a generic Aldi set which I have been using for years) -

With the new upgrade to iOS 7 for the iPhone, is there anyway to change the color background on the calendar?
There are, however, lots of calendar apps in the App Store. They will used th same data as th built in app and sync just the same way. Many of them are quite customizable or, at least have different backgrounds. Some that I like are Week Cal, Fantastical, Cal, Tempo.

I have recently upgraded to ios 7 on my iphone. I am currently at 7.0.2 which i installed yesterday. Now i notice that the keypad doesnt appear in any function under Phone. Keypad doesnt show up in contact search, or while adding new contacts or editing the existing. This is irritting.

My screen won't work, i have tried turning it off but i cant swipe the power down button because my screen doesnt work. I have only had my iphone 4s for one day and this has happened, someone please help me.
Did the trick! Not sure what I did to cause the screen to go numb, but this worked perfectly!!! I cleaned the screen and must have inadvertently selected something that locked the screen. This perfect solution kept me from having to run to the Apple Store. Many thanks.

I have tried removing my fingerprints on file and re-adding without any noticed improvement in performance.Try a quick and rissoles Reset by holding the Sleep / Wake button and the Home button at the same time until the Apple logo shows then release the buttons and wait until the lock-screen returns. Now open you iPhone with your code and then click the Sleep / Wake button and then depress only the Home button. Now try you finger print.

I had this too when I updated to iOS 6 today. Solved it by doing a restore to factory conditions followed by a restore to my last backup. Now its idling around 45% CPU and is back to its snappy performance.
