After Upgrade to iOS 8 the iPhone 5c start freezing, battery life is too short, and to open an app it as to restart the phone.
How to downgrade to iOS 7.
Thanks,

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device without using any backup would be the next step:
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support

  • After upgrading to ios 7.03 my ipad freezes, but the clock still works

Hi, after upgrading to iOS 7.03 my ipad freezes, but the clock is still running. So i reset it and it works again. I'm using the logitech solar keyboard folio with it. It has worked flawlessly before the upgrade. It seems to happen intermittently. When it first happened I had the keyboard lock on. Then the screen was black, but when connecting it to my pc, itunes could recognize the ipad and I could backup everything. It happened occasionally, so I removed the keyboard lock. This seemed to help at first, but now it freezes anyways. Only difference is I can see the background and my apps on one of the pages. And the clock is running.
    Help much appriciated.

  • I am having trouble with my iphone5. I finally had SFR after 2 hours or more waiting to switch the service of the sim card. The phone worked finally but after upgrading my itunes, the iphone 5 will not even let me sign in nor give password.

I was so happy to receive my iphone5 today but, happiness turned into frustration. The new sim card was unlocked etc... The phone finally worked after 2 hrs or more and since I upgraded my itunes, the phone is blocked. It will only let me after being turned on unlock the phone. Once I get to ID apple and password, I can put it in but, then it says it has timed out. It also says I cannot connect to the server. What is going on???
I am in France and there is no Apple Store open on Sunday, my phone service is closed as well.
I hope somone can help me asap.

I think you can solve your problems by removing your AppleID email address from BOTH the Messages setting on your iPhone and the iMessages settings on your Mac.
    On iPhone:
    Settings > Messages > iMessage > Dissabled
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > touch the "(i)" < touch "Remove This Email"
    On Mac:
    Open "Messages" application
    Click "Messages menu > Preferences
    Click "Accounts"
    Select your AppleID account
Under the "You can be reached for messages at" settings, uncheck your AppleID email address and your phone number
Then uncheck the "Enable this account" setting
And lastly, ask all of your friends with iPhones to delete all iMessage conversations (blue bubbles) in their entirety.
To test, send a friend a new text using their phone number (not their email address) and watch the color of the bubble.  If it's green then you are using SMS.

  • Poor battery life after upgrade to iOS 5. iPhone 4

How do I downgrade from iOS5 to previous versions so I can use the iPhone as my mobile for more than half a day? The battery time is only half of what it was before upgrading to iOS5 whick makes it pretty useless as a work phone

Well I've spent hours search the forum and trying diffrent solution from diffrent users without any success, so I guess there is a need for yet another thread. Have Apple communicated that they do have a major issue with iOS5 and that they are working on a fix?

  • Any fix to the battery life issue from upgrading to IOS 6.0.2, as my battery life has gone from 2 days to 4 hours since 'upgrading'??

I purchased my Iphone 5 on the day of release, since then I have had a 2 day battery life on average, since upgrading to IOS 6.0.2, the battery struggles to last for 4 hours, is there any solution or fix??  If not any idea when this will be fixed??  Is there anyway to revert back to IOS 6.0.1?
    HELP!!!

It is unlikely that this problem has anything to do with iOS 6.0.2. It is possible that the update process itself has caused some settings on your iPhone to become corrupted.
Here are some steps to deal with this:
    1. Close all apps (use the app switcher; double tap home, press and hold an icon, click the "-" signs)
    2. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. (Does NOT delete apps or any data; just resets network/iOS settings)
    3. Wait for iPhone to restart.
    4. Charge iPhone up to 100% and monitor.

  • IPOD Touch battery life is too short. Can I replace the battery?

My son's IPOD Touch has a battery life of about 30 minutes.  It is a refurbished model and wondered if there was a way to upgrade the battery?

Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one with a new battery for $79. They do not fix yours.

A third-party place like the following will replace your battery for less. Google for more.

  • After upgrading to iOS 5.0.1 Ipad 1 battery will not charge

iOS 5.0.1 is a disaster.  Ipad does not charge.  iTunes does not recognize.  Reset does not fix.  Have held down both buttons for 15 seconds as suggested and also done a full reset from the settings menu.
So far I have a slowly discharging POS that is not reognized by my computer.
    Any suggestions?

I tried this and iTunes still fails to recognize the iPad.  I am using a MacBook Air running 10.7.2
Seems to be a serious issue.  I recommend all to pause before considering this upgrade.
To add insult to injury I am travelling so wont be near an apple store for a couple of weeks.

  • Hello. I have a macbook pro 2011 that originally came with os lion (on the computer not a disk). What I did was I downloaded Os Mountain lion. There was nothing wrong with it but I just feel the battery life is too short. So what I did was I tried to do s

    Hello
I have a macbook pro 2011 13" that came with OS Lion (integrated not on a disk). I recently bought OS Mountain Lion of the app store and it is working fine. However I was a bit dissapointed in the battery so I decided to try and downgrade and completely failed, I froze the computer and when I restarted it it did not work. I went into recovery system and erased my disk and all that and went to re-download my OS. I was expecting to get the option to re-download Lion but instead I could only re-download Mountain Lion.
My question is since my computer originally came with Lion can I reset my computer so I get OS Lion back instead of OS Mountain Lion?
Thanks for any help. Any answer will be appreciated even if it is saying it is not possible.

    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
        1.    Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
        2.    After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
        3.    Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
        4.    Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • IPad 2 with iOS 7.03 loses 12% of battery life in 24h. in Airplane Mode

    Hi everyone,
I've always tried to maximize the battery life of my iPad; I fully discharge it and then fully charge all the time, and I don't do more than 1 full charge cicle per week.
In iOS 6 my iPad 2 was functioning nicely, with no noticeable battery drain in standby / sleep mode. The moment I upgraded to iOS 7 i noticed that my battery life was draining without using the iPad, about 1% per hour constantly.
I started to do a little bit of research. I made sure first that the iPad really goes to sleep when I close the smart cover.
I started to disable everything, one by one, removed all notifications, configured email to download only when I ask, disabled backgroun application refresh, closesd all applications before putting the iPad to sleep, etc.
I notice a little bit of improvement in terms of battery life in sleep mode but I still had a visible unacceptable battery drain in sleep mode.
I decided then to start real tests so I started to do the following:
    - I fully charged it and fully chaged it
    - when it reached 100% charge I kept it 2 more hours in charge
    - I closed all apps and then I did a restart by pressing simultanously the home and the power buttons for more than 5 seconds
    - I started the iPad, closed the smart cover to put it in sleep mode
    - after 24 hours it was showing 87% so I lost 13%
Next test was similar but before putting the iPad to sleep I, put it in Airplane Mode. This time after 24 hours it was showing 88% so I lost 12%
One very weird thing that happened during this last test was that after 24h in Airplane Mode when I opened the lid, and without turning off the Airplane Mode I got a notification that there is a new software upgrade to iOS 7.04 waiting for me to install. REALLY in Airplane Mode . . . ???? I do not understand.
Have you noticed similar battery drain issues in iOS 7, did any of you performed similar tests ?
I consider 12% battery drain in 24 h. in sleep mode unacceptable, really unacceptable
My next test will be to turn it off for 24 hours to see how much is the battery draining when off.
Maybe Apple people have something to say. I have an appointment to the Genius bar today.
    I'll keep you guys posted

Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad and charge overnight.  Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone charger.  Do NOT use a computer's USB port.  Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear).  An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem.  I am stating, however, that we don't yet know.  If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.
    Also, according to Apple:
    Use Your iPad Regularly
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
Elsewhere, Apple elaborates and explains that two half-discharges (or four quarter-discharges, etc.) equals one full discharge.
