After Upgrading to iOS8, the iPhoto Events on my Mac wont sync with my iPad2.

I recently updated to iOS8 on my iPad2. During the update I got a message that the update failed and my iPad was stuck in Recovery Mode. After Restoring my iPad2 and loading the most recent backup, I'm having issues with syncing all of my data back on the iPad. I have the option selected to sync "Selected Events and Events from the past 12 months" to my iPad2. After completing a sync, NONE of the events appear on my iPad. The only photos that are available are in the Recent Photos's section. I have tried syncing multiple times with no success.
Any suggestions on how to get these events back on the iPad??

somehow, after delinking my apple(icloud) id with iphone, i erased my iphone to start with new, in hope that it should work now, but nothing seems to be working,

Well, now I'm really baffled. I've tried dragging the video to iTunes window and into the Movies folder. Nothing. I've tried File>Import to Library in iTunes. Nothing. I've dragged it over to the external hard drive where I keep iTunes and then drag it into the Movies folder there. Still nothing. I never get an error message from any of these methods, but I also do not have the video showing up. What the heck am I doing wrong?

After connecting the phone it begins and goes to about steps 3 or 4 and then the "apple" appears indicating it is finished - however new pictures have not been transferred to the phone and updates for apps have not happened. Your music/movies, etc will only be where you put them.
Copy everything fom your old computer or your backup copy of your old computer to your new one

It's a whole new ballgame now. Here's some info on how the Photos apps now works.
Your photos are still on your phone. With iOS 8 there is no My Photo Stream or Camera Roll any more. The MPS has been replaced with the Recent Activity album.
The CR is replaced by the Collections mode. The closest we can get to the Camera Roll is to turn off the Summarize Photos feature in the Settings/Photos & Camera pane and view the photos in the Collections/Moments window.
The photos will be in chronological order when scrolled up from the bottom of the window.
The Recent Activity album is showing the photos added in the last 30 days going back to 8/20 (today being 9/18). In iPhoto on a Mac the My Photo Stream is showing more like 31 days, 8/19 to today, 8/20. It must be how the two devices calculate the last 30 days.
WARNING: If you use iTunes to sync photos between your iPhone or iPad and your Mac do not activate the iCloud Drive. Doing so will kill the capability of using iTunes to sync with your mobile device and disable Documents & Data syncing for your iCloud account on OS X Mavericks and earlier Macs, as well as iOS 7 and earlier devices.

Can you connect via WiFi? I have not tried connecting with Bluetooth or USB, but since I upgraded to IOS8 I have had issues with my phone properly broadcasting the WiFi. It works very intermittently.

Disable Photo Stream in the System/iCloud preference pane
and in iPhoto's Photo Share preference pane.
Reboot and reenable both respectively. That should jump start Photo Stream.

I have two different 5s's with two different phone numbers but they are both using the same iCloud/apple account. After upgrading to iOS8 when I get a phone call on one phone both phones ring.

And while we are at it iOS8 has installed iBooks on both of my phones and iTunes won't let me uninstall it. I don't need or want iBooks on my phones.

There are two easy fixes to this.
One, you can set up Family Sharing, in which you can have two different iCloud Accounts, yet still share the same apps, music, media etc.
Two, go to Settings and turn-off "Handoff". This can be found under the General page.

After upgrade to iOS8, very slow, no volume slider bar, no volume through the iPad although the headphones work. My volume slider bar now reads"Sound Effects"?? Mute is off, need help. So frustrated!

I do not think apple will do much to help you under warrenty, as this was caused by a fall. (alas!)
I think the case is, as you suggest, jamming the rocker down, and it may have damaged the swith itself. Can you carefully lever it out of the way? Very very carefully. If it is already broken, there is not much harm you can do by trying.
If it is just the switch being jammed, you might be able to move it out a little. If it is the swith itself, you will need some real service after your three hour drive. You might check your loacl area for a closer service repair source.

have you deleted the account and re-added it? Have you done a reset or restore as outlined in the iPhone user guide? What troubleshooting have you done?

Had the same issue. Hard reset not working.
What I did was: start your mac/pc and open iTunes, hold down the home button of the iPad (and while holding the button), connect it to the PC with the cable.
Keep pressing until you get a pop-up asking to upgrade or restore.

Go to Settings>General>Keyboards>Predictive Text>ON. If it is on, you can toggle it off and then back on. The other method is to check in the typing area of the Messages app and it could be minimized. You would see a small line in the center just below the typing area. You would just need to put your finger on that small line and swipe upwards. But either should bring it back.

I am having this same issue. I live in Korea and changing the language to Korean made the messages searchable, but when I changed back to English, the problem returned and I was unable to search all my messages via the search window in the messages app, but then, after about 5 minutes, the messages app crashed, and after that, the problem was resolved. Gotta sat that I'm so far unimpressed with ios 8; seemingly not ready for Primetime.

Everything is slowed down after upgrading to ios8 ?

I have various problems after upgrading to IOS8 with mij Ipad2. Pages has for example become very slow. I can say that it has in fact become unusable: I get typing errors caused by the slowness.
Another complaint is that the keyboard all the time covers the text.
Further I am using Icloud drive for Pages, but I want to change that. When I change this in the system, then I lose all my documents! ( but if I close WIFI then I keep the documents: I donot understand).
I would like to know if Apple reads these posts? And is there a simple possibilty to downgrade ?

Apple provides NO means or provision to downgrade iDevices to a previously installed iOS version.
There are unsupported methods to do so, but these involves doing things to your Apple iDevice that is NOT permitted by Apple and Apple has taken steps to make sure there are consequences, like making your iPad completely inoperable, by using unauthorized, unsupported and unofficial means to circumvent the normal,default operation of their mobile devices.
To use these methods to try and fix your Apple iDevice means, Apple is going to punish you for doing so, by making sure your iDevice no longer functions.
