After upgrading to Yosemite I can no longer upload to Facebook

Hi,
After I upgraded my macbook pro to Yosemite a couple of days ago I can no longer upload photos to Facebook.
After choosing the files and uploading I'm prompted with this message:
Sorry, something went wrong.
We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can.
Go Back
I do everything the same as before I upgraded, and when I use my mac mini which is still on OS X Mavericks I upload without an issue.
Would appreciate your assistance

  • Since I upgraded to Yosemite I can no longer upload photos to eBay by selecting "events"  all my photos pop up together.  Anyone know how to fix this?

I recently updated to Yosemite 10.10.1.  Since I updated I can no longer upload photos to eBay, Shutterfly, Craigslist by selecting "events".  It is no longer an option.
All my photos come up as one entire library.  When I view them in iPhoto they are divided into events, however once I go to upload them the entire library appears without any defining options, such as "events", recent imports, etc.   I thought at first this might be an issue with eBay, but realized it wasn't when I tried to list on Craigslist.  This is a nuisance and time consuming process.  Does anyone know if there is a fix in the future or if I am just missing some quick fix?

I would like to add that Comcast is my internet provider. Perhaps that is part of the issue although the Connection Doctor confirms the mail box is connecting to the internet. No other function processes when Connection Doctor program is used to find the source of the issue. I have read forum posts but am unable to find a way to get my Apple mail to be delivered to my computer. It worked fine up until I chose to transfer mail to the Cloud. My mail account is a .mac account.
Still hoping someone out there can help me.
    thanks,
    anne

  • I just upgraded to Yosemite and can no longer connect to the WIFI  any suggestions

I Just up upgraded to Yosemite and can no longer connect to internet - any ideas?

I have the same problem after loading OS X 10.10 Yosemite on my MacBook Pro (Late 2008).  Wi-Fi (Time Capsule) connects OK, then I open Safari and it waits for a minute and then gives me a message that it can't load the page because I'm not connected to the Internet.  The Wi-Fi is fine.  When I run the network analysis, it shows that everything is fine up to the Internet; the dots are red after that.  I have another MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012) and it loaded and runs with no known problems (so far).  I am writing this message on the Late 2008 MacBook Pro, so you can see that there is no problem with the Internet connection.  It is a Yosemite problem.  My iPhone and newer MacBook Pro connect with no problem.  I loaded Yosemite TWICE, then ran the Disk Utility and fixed some disk permissions but there were no other problems identified.  Restarting after reloading Yosemite and the same problem is there.  Restarted after running the disk utility and fixing disk permissions and it still can't connect to the Internet.  Same problem.  Does anyone have an idea how this might be fixed?  What's going on?  Thanks for your help.
Update:  Air Drop also doesn't work.  Thanks.

  • Upgraded to Yosemite and can no longer remote into my work iMac through screen sharing- it is turned on in settings?

My screen sharing functionality did not show up in the dock with an updated icon.  It had a question mark- shows my connections but nothing works, I did make sure screen sharing is on and also connected to VPN.  Once I tried to launch screen sharing nothing happens.  Such an elegant solution in Mavericks not does not work. Ugh. Help!

This is the post that got me set up- I too am running an older version at work vs. Yosemite. As soon as I followed is advice everything worked.
Upgraded to Yosemite and can no longer remote into my work iMac through screen sharing- it is turned on in settings?
I believe the location of the "Screen Sharing" app has changed, which explains why if you had it in the dock it has been replaced by a ?
Don't forget you can launch screen sharing (once your VPN connection is up) by typing in the Safari destination slot vnc://remotemachinename:portnumber  (omit the :port number if you are using the default VNC port, 5900).  This should launch Screen Sharing and put its icon in the dock.  You can drag the Screen Sharing icon to the left of your dock and it will hopefully remain there after you exit Screen Sharing, or you can right-click on the icon when it's running and select Options->Show in Finder to find out its new location and drag its icon to the permanent entries in your dock.
Hope this helps; worked for me.

  • After upgrading  to Yosemite, I can't print on Okidata c5150n

After upgrading  to Yosemite, I can't print on Okidata c5150n.  Oki is of no help.  I am connected by ethernet.

For those trying to use an Oki C5150n printer with OS X Yosemite, the fix is now available.  One must use the driver for the Oki C5800Ldn printer from the Oki support page because the Yosemite compatible driver does not yet appear on the page for the C5150n.  However at Oki customer support's direction I have loaded and used this driver, and so far it is working just fine.  To download the driver use the link at the end of this comment and navigate to the OS.X.10 download option under "find a driver".  Be advised that one must remove the Oki printer from the list in the "Printers and Scanners" system preference window and then re-create it de novo after installing the new driver as the old one will not work.  Unfortunately this means that any documents left hanging in the print queue prior to installation of the new driver will be lost.

    Good luck to all!

  • After upgrading to iOS7, I can no longer send or receive texts that aren't iMessages.

As the title indicates: After upgrading to iOS7, I can no longer send or receive texts that aren't iMessages.
The text conversations are still there; you can see that I used to be able to text anyone. But now I cannot.
I have followed several different fixes suggested in these forums, I have Restored my phone, I have Reset Network Settings, I have Reset All Settings, I have checked settings on several friend's phones. But I still cannot send or receive texts that are not iMessage texts.
This seems like a pretty big deal. People text more than they call. And I now have a phone that cannot text very many people.
It is so frustrating. I have spent so much time trying to get it to work.

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions ...
I don't know if this is a corrupted preference file or not, but it sure can't hurt to try this.
If Mail is open, Quit Mail.
    /Users/YourName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist
Drag that .plist file to the Desktop. Launch Mail and see if you can send or receive e-mail. If you can, that .plist file is corrupted. Drag it to the trash, empty the trash and reboot. Your Mac will create a new preference file for you the next time you launch Mail.
Also... run Disk Utility and Repair Disk Permissions. Disk Utility is in your Applications/Utilities folder. Launch DU, select MacintoshHD 10.x.x in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab, click Repair Disk Permissions. Quit DU when it's finished and reboot.

  • After upgrading to Maverick, I can no longer access iTunes Store.

    Hi,
After upgrading to Maverick, I can no longer access to iTunes stores. The layout for Mac AppStore also doesn't display properly. Perhaps the most annoying part is when I need to access secure website (even google.com), where I need to authorize the certificate. My current connection is behind proxy, but have no issues on all this issues before upgrading to Maverick. Please assist.

    Hello segordon21,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
To move voice memos to your computer please follow the steps from the iOS 8 Help below.
    Move recordings to your computer
You can sync voice memos with the iTunes library on your computer, then listen to them on your computer or sync them with another iPhone or iPod touch.
When you delete a synced voice memo from iTunes, it stays on the device where it was recorded, but is deleted from any other iPhone or iPod touch you synced. If you delete a synced voice memo on iPhone, it’s copied back to iPhone the next time you sync with iTunes, but you can’t sync that copy back to iTunes a second time.
Sync voice memos with iTunes. Connect iPhone to your computer, then in iTunes select iPhone. Select Music at the top of the screen (between Apps and Movies), select Sync Music, select “Include voice memos,” and click Apply.
Voice memos synced from iPhone to your computer appear in the Music list and in the Voice Memos playlist in iTunes. Voice memos synced from your computer appear in the Voice Memos app on iPhone, but not in the Music app.
    Move recordings to your computer
    Take care,
    Alex H.

  • After upgrading my OS from Snowleopard to Yosemite, I can no longer upload photos from iPhoto to Facebook.

I recently upgraded OS from Snowleopard to Yosemite and now I can't upload photos from iPhoto (v 9.6) to Facebook. Is Yosemite 10.10.1 keeping me from uploading to Facebook?

    What  happens when you try?

  • I upgraded to Yosemite and can no longer import photos from my camera

I have a Canon Eos Rebel SLR Digital Camera (Model DS6041).  It has always worked perfectly with iPhoto on my iMac running Maverick.  I upgraded to Yosemite yesterday and now when I plug the camera in...iPhoto opens...and it shows the camera listed in the pane on the left but in the upper right hand corner of the main photo window it just continually says "Loading".  I plugged it into my wife's Macbook Air which was also upgraded yesterday morning and it did the same thing.  In order to make sure it was a problem with Yosemite and not my camera...I plugged it into my dad's Macbook Air which HASN'T been upgraded.  It is still running Maverick.  His Macbook immediately recognized the photos and loaded them and was ready for me to import.  Does anyone know what is going on with the Yosemite upgrade and if it is being looked at?  Thank you.

Have you guys tried this?...  It worked for me
I called Canon and they said to change a setting on the camera and for me it worked.  They said to go to the settings menu and go to communication... on my camera there are two choices... Normal (PC) and PTP.  Mine was set to normal and always worked fine.  After the Yosemite update...it no longer worked.  Yesterday I changed it to PTP and the pictures popped right up.  Hopefully you have similar settings in your camera and can try this...

  • Since upgrading to Yosemite, I can no longer print to my Kodak AiO.  The fix on Kodak site does not work.

Since upgrading my Macbook to Yosemite 10, I can no longer print to my Kodak AiO 5250.  The fix on Kodak site with Terminal does not prompt to password like it says it will.  Macbook has all available upgrades completed.  Printer works with a PC.

This is where I found the Kodak fix:  http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/49247/selected/true
I'm not really comfortable in 'Terminal' but tried it.  Nothing happened after pasting in the first command.  The fix says it will ask for password.
I see now this seems to be a pretty common problem, I would have thought Apple would fix it with an update for the number of complaints I've found.  Since Kodak is in receivership or bankruptcy, I would think it's unlikely they will have any more solutions.  I feel like Yosemite stole my printer.

  • After upgrade to Yosemite, graphics configuration no longer supported

On my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, I can no longer run Motion 5, since installing Yosemite and upgrading Motion as required. Granted, Motion never ran that well on my MacBook Pro, but I do need to access it from time to time, and I was able to, before the latest upgrades.
I don't expect anyone to solve this problem for me. This is just a warning to anyone thinking of installing to Yosemite. I am sad that Apple continues to do this to me. I can't just buy new hardware every time they feel like "improving" things. I guess I'll restore everything from my TM backup. I hate to fall too far behind in the upgrade cycle, because it's painful to get caught up. However, Yosemite has broken several other things I need.

Motion 5 has no issues at all with Yosemite.  This is the first I've heard this.  We have several Yosemite Macs in our studio, and training facility, and there are no issues with the latest version of Motion.
Download the free app "FCS Remover" from Digital Rebellion (dot com) to totally remove Motion and any remnants of earlier versions.  Go to the App Store and reinstall it.  You should be fine.

  • After upgrading to ios7 i can no longer send pictures via whatsapp?

after i upgrading to ios7 i am no longer able to send media via whatsapp, is anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it?

I did what I have been doing all along.  I didn't have any problems until just recently.  I went to camera roll, clicked on email photo, entered the address and sent.  This has worked in the past but is not working now.  I can send emails but I can't send photos.  I have been having trouble on my computer with mobileme and not sure if this has anything to do with my sending photos on my iphone.
Thanks for responding and any help you can give.  I will take a look at page 122 of the iphone ios4 guide.

  • After upgrade to OS5, I can no longer sync to my Outlook calendar

I recently upgrade to OS5 but now I can no longer sync to my Outlook calendar, any advice?

I have this problem too, only I now have Firefox 9.0.1.
I don't know what the developers are doing to Firefox recently, but it makes me want to switch to another browser. Please make it work like it always used too. There were never this kind of problems when you were "thinking" about and fully testing each update.

  • Upgrade to Yosemite and can no longer place jpg files in Illustrator

I have recently upgraded to Yosemite, wish to hell I hadn't, but now all my Illustrator work that has placed images that are not eps images is destroyed. When I open a file I am asked to repair or replace the images but any that are not in eps format are ignored. How do I fix this? I had real issues with the last upgrade to SnowLeopard as well. Sick and tired of things not working when you upgrade. Why should we have to uninstall and reinstall every time?

I've been on on all the versions and yes, it might ask you to replace, but I'm happily placing JPG images in Illustrator, so I'm not encountering the problem you're having. Are you updating old files or did you move the folder where the images are stored, because that would be the only occasion you would be asked to "repair". I place CMYK and RGB JPG images all the time (with a X over them, so I know they are placed).

  • After upgrade of ODBC I can no longer put user/pass in the user field .

I have a .bat file that I run on a regular basis (many times day and night). It runs a software package that accesses my Oracle database thru ODBC. I can only give the package a "DSN" name. I have no way to supply a userid or password. I used to put the userid/password in the "User ID" field when setting up the DSN. Now that I have installed the 8.01.57.00 version of ODBC for Oracle I can no longer do this. Can anyone tell me how to hard-code the password into the DSN?

General warning: Oracle frowns upon putting passwords into DSN's for obvious security reasons. Storing passwords in plain text in known (or knowable) locations, particularly on Windows boxes, is discouraged.
However, if you really want to do this, you'll need to edit the registry. Go to
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\<Your DSN Name Here>
And assign the "Password" key a value.
