Unfortunately, the ability to clone/heal beyond the original image boundary is not supported by Lightroom. Therefore, as others have described, you'll need to send the image over to Photoshop then use the tools available to you there (e..g. Clone, Heal, Patch, Content Aware Fill).

Then if you have tried all the browsers try connecting the system to yoour router with an Ethernet cable and turn WiFi off. If you have the same problem then it more then likely after your computer, Router or modem or connection from your ISP.
If you get good browsing with the Ethernet cable then it is either the WiFi card in your Mac or the WiFi system in your router. -
Error: Blurb / The transparent areas will show as opaque in your book.
I get this message when uploading my book from Lightroom to Blurb.
"Some photos in the book have transparency. The transparent areas will show as opaque in your book."
What does it mean?
If I ignore it and upload anyway, the book looks ok in blurb.
Blurb customers service cannot answer.

I get the same message – both when producing a pdf or trying to send to Blurb – still I can't find transparency anywhere in the document. The pdf looks fine, but I worry about what will happen after sending to Blurb.

my iMac won't boot up. I hear the chime and the Apple symbol appears but there is no whirling indicator that appears and after a while the computer screen goes black and the whole cycle starts again. There have been occasions when it has actually started and I have the dashboard appear but then the screen freezes
Since you have Lion v10.7.4 installed, use Lion Recovery to repair the startup disk if necessary, or reinstall the Mac OS X.

Im having problems with Safari 5.1.10. I often have several tabs open and after a while the links/websites become not active. So if click on a tab and want open a previous website it than has to re-load again in the window. Can I change this ?

The NetehrlandsEmpty the Safari cache more often.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test. -
How can I get my iPhone 4 to update my updates from my app store of it keeps telling me error 3150 or it tell me to refresh the page after updates and the updates are still there asking me to update them again?
Make sure iTunes on the computer is logged into the account on the phone.
Plug the iPhone in.
In the popup window warning about wiping your phone, hit cancel.
In the left pane of iTunes, the phone icon should be there.
Right click on it, select transfer purchases.
Note: this will only transfer music bought from iTunes. Not mp3's from amazon or ripped from CD's. -
I merge projects in aperture, it works fine until aperture restarts. After aperture restarts, the projects are no longer merged, and are back the way they were. Can anyone suugest how to make the merge permanent?
I tried the first aid tasks but the issue is still there. I have more info now though. It's not a problem with merging.
The problem is that new projects are being generated everytime aperture starts (with the same name, ie 01, 02.... and 01 (1), 02 (1) .....)
When aperture start, it shows "importing". When I click on importing, it goes into the activity box. In the activity box, has many lines as below. The added projcts are all empty. It's annoying because i have many useless projects being generated. -
Two days ago I downloaded the web developer tool bar (aus2.mozilla.com). I tried to use it but gave up. I deleted the tool bar.
I don't have any images anymore. I use Google.com as my home page (default) and the large GOOGLE isn't there anymore. I've also noticed some of the sites I use don't have the continue or next or enter keys anymore. It seems the only thing I have now is the text.Are you sure you are looking at the Google page?? When exporting a .wmv in After Effects 5 the export adds additional black/Blank frames at the end
We are experiencing an issue where we or a client provides us with a video that is a .wmv video, exported from After Effects 5 and it adds almost a second of data less video.
What I mean by data less is the video renders out as WMV, 30FPS, 24 Bitrates (No audio) that is say 7 seconds long within After Effects. The moment it is rendered/exported, it is 8 seconds and shows 8 seconds in any program we import it to. That last second is empty, there is no frames, not even black frames, and when you preview the video in any program, you see the scrub bar, drop about 1 second before the actual end of the timeline.
I opened the video in Camtasia, and you can clearly see that at the end, it shows in the timeline (Video Editor), however there is no actual video.
I import the video in my company’s software, and I move the frame scrubber at the end, it says 'Unable to retrieve the requested video frame.'. If we import it to our software, it sees no frames for that second, and automatically loops and adds the first second of the video to the end.
Typically we only import uncompressed AVIs, but would like to know what this issue is.

After Effects 5I 100% agree about not being a fan of .WMV. We only recently added .wmv video support to our own program our clients use for importing videos and graphics. Our customer only used .wmv because it was on our list, and we are running into this issue.
Two different users (our own Graphic Artist, and our clients Graphic Artist) and we get the same result. We are 100% certain there is no video framerate mismatch in either of the AE files.
It would be interesting to see if anyone else using AE, if they could make a video few seconds long, export as a WMV and see if another program shows a whole extra second at the end, that has no data.

Transparent areas appears black
Some images that use transparency when displayed on a web page, display black in the transparent zones when viewed in Photoshop Elements.
If I edit the images and load them to a web site, the zones display as transparent or black depending on the file format (PNG, GIF, JPG) and other elements I haven't been able to isolate.
What is this due to and how can I get transpency to display correctly when it appears black in Photoshop Elements?

AscendoHere is exactly what I am doing. I copy the "folder" image from the "get info" page (following a tutorial online to do my own folder icons). This is what the image pasted into SEASHORE looks like:
(the checkered background is the transparency)
This is what happens when I paste the same image into photoshop:
(that is the channels and layers included as requested)
You will notice that the background is NOT transparent, but white. I have checked the "transparent background" upon creation, and before pasting this item, Layer 1 was a 512 by 512 pixel transparent document. I have tried RGB 8, 16, 32 bit, and CMYK but those are not working. Any help will be greatly appreciated. -

Is there a script available for arranging elements for optimal use of the printable area?
I'm starting a sticker printing business using Illustrator as my main layout and illustration too. I was wondering if there's a script available for automatically arranging a set of elements on a page so that they optimally take up the available space. I figured this would save me some on material costs.
If I were to create a script from scratch, can someone give me pointers? I'm a casual AI user but I have Javascript experience.
Thanks.The below image shows the 4 different die sizes, the artwork fits inside the dotted box so make sure that we have room around the die and the drill holes are assigned as well.
The name of each die is listed above it, and the size is listed below it.
The script is set to take each die and place it on the template until it is full, then it will save it and move it to the folder where it will be grabbed and preped for printing.

Red dates for birthdays only in January all the rest are in black
I have set my calendar up and I can't find a way to make all the birthdays in red for the rest of the months. I can change the text but not the date..
i got red birthday dates on the January page, but black birthday dates on the other 11 months. please help..

Cover flow: the cover area turns black or white after a short time
Hi
Does anyone know why my iTunes has begun turning the area, where the covers usually are placed, into complete black and sometimes complete white? When iTunes skips to the next track, it shows the covers again - for a short time - and then usually turns into black again. It also show me the cover flow, if I just go into iTunes again (you know, if I've been surfing on the internet, and then later go into iTunes again)
I have a rather huge library (~115 gb), but I have never had any issues like this before. iTunes is updated and so is my graphic driver. I'm using Vista 32bit.

JonWell I updated to 8.2 and the same issue remained so went ahead and removed ALL Apple related components, Bonjour, Quicktime, iTunes etc. and redownloaded package and reinstalled... Everything works fine EXCEPT I still have the same issue with coverflow going black after a while (basically showing the black background only). Clicking into the area brings back the coverflow... it's like it's going into the background... Quite odd. Not really a big deal but none the less annoying!
This is the only app experiencing anything similar. Tested with 4 different NVidia video driver versions from 179.x onward and it is consistent so I doubt OpenGL as it was working fine before. I'm stumped! My guess is Apple coders need to force the Cover flow to stay in the foreground and or return to it. Oddly, this issue is easy for me to reproduce, When Windows shutsdown the screen and it comes back after a record switch almost always the coverflow will be gone.
