After using  the blue tooth i cant use the head phone jack

nothing i plug into the headphone jack will play.

I don't think that's an option without jailbreaking the phone, which you definitely don't want to do.  You'd need to use AirPrint, and I'm not sure if your printer is compatible.  Here's a list of HP printer's that are.  Hope this helps a little.

  • My iPhone is acting up again; freezing up during phone calls and now the head phone jack intermittently doesn't work.

I got my iPhone 5 back in February 2013 and for the most part of the year I enjoyed it. Then I started having issues with it. First of all the WiFi randomly quit working. I didn't even update it. So I tried updating it, resetting, and restoring it. While it was under warranty I tried getting the issue fixed, but Apple CS blew me off saying it was accidental damage and I should have gotten Apple Care. This time Verizon covered their *** and replaced the phone for me even though it was out of their 6 month warranty period. I think I posted this experience before.
Now my iPhone is acting up again. It first started freezing up during phone calls and now the head phone jack intermittently doesn't work. Again, resetting, restoring, and updating it did not fix these issues.
    <Re-Titled By Host>

The original issue they didn't state exactly why it was Accidental Damage. After running through some troubleshooting, they just stated it was Accidental Damage and that I should file a claim with my insurance, and that Apple Care would have covered it; then closed the request.
I've tried resetting settings, restoring it as new, and that was a no go. When it freezes up during calls I also have to perform a hard reset by pressing and holding both the power and the home buttons to get it functioning at all again(just completely freezes, won't respond to touch or home button.) I noticed that the proximity sensor isn't responding as well, so I have to tilt it away from my ear while in a call to keep from pressing the buttons on the touchscreen with the side of my face. I avoid phonecalls now, and text exclusively.
I don't live anywhere near a Genius Bar so I'm stuck with the online support to Apple. And since I don't have a landline, I get charged for their phone support so I tend not to use it.
Getting two lemons in a row seems coincidental so I'm wondering if it's a bad batch Verizon got then distributed out.

  • The head phone jack on my brand new iPod touch 5th generation is not working properly

The head phone jack on my brand new iPod touch 5th generation is not working properly. It has sound without the headphones in but when I plug them in it has no sound, it's low, or poppy. I had only used my apple supplied headphones once before and it worked fine. I know it's not the headphones because I tried them on my girlfriends phone and they worked fine.

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

  • I have a 24" mid 2008 imac when i plug the head phone jack into my stereo i have a hum that never goes away.

i have tried grounding both the head unit and also the computer it self and all i find is the noise is still there. what can i do to get rid of the noise? i think the problem is in the grounding of the head phone jack it's self but i dont know. has any one else had this same problem? thanks for your time.

How did you confirm grounding? How old is your house? Does it have 3-prong outlets? If not, there's no guarantee they are wired right even if they are the ones with one wider prong slot. If they are 3-prong, that's still no gurantee they are wired right. You would need one of the below to be sure. Just trying to save a lot of troubleshooting of devices when it could be your house wiring.

  • Why was the head phone jack moved to the bottom of the iPhone 5

Why was the head phone jack moved to the bottom of the iPhone 5

Because it worked better with the new design, most likely.  To get the real answer you'd have to ask the people that designed it.

  • How can I restore the sound in my iPad after using my head phones in it?

I have lost sound on my iPad after taking out the earphones. Please tell me anything I can do to restore that. This is the second time it has happened. I cannot figure it out. The keys on my keyboard don't click nor the sounds on games. Thanks

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. The function that isn't on the side switch is set via the taskbar instead : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4085
If you haven't got notifications muted then try inserting and removing the headphones again

  • A way how to fix the Zen Micro head phone jack prob

Hi! I am one of the many people that purchased a Zen Micro MP3 player, I loved it until around 6 months of use, an audio shorting problem with the head phone jack, started to repeat it's self every time, that I would plug my head phone's into the Zen Micro head phone jack. After awhile, I was tired of this problem, so I just decided to never use it again, unless I could find out if the maker of the Zen Micro had a repair service. I noticed that some people had their Micro's replaced a few times under the warranty that is included with the player. I also noticed that some one created a way to fix this problem, but I wanted to see if I could find an easier way to fix the problem. Well I did end up finding an easier way to fix the problem, this is what I did.
Absolutely in all means I can't be held responsible / reliable for any unforseen thing / things, that you may or could, do to the Zen Micro, by following the instructions, which I provided. By trying what I did by following the instructions, which I provided you; you accept all responsibility to any thing / things, that may or could happen to the Zen Micro.
    The Instructions:
I took a stapler pressed it down to get a used staple then I carefully inserted it in the outer part of the plastic head phone jack ring. Then I pressed the rest of the staple flat against the Zen micro. And Now I get great sound, it is at least better than, the way it was before I inserted the staple. I would suggest to always remove the staple. When you connect the Zen Micro to a computer, charging device, or any other device other than a pair of head phones. You understand that if you leave the staple inserted in the Zen Micro and don't remove it. While you have it connected to a computer, charging device, or any other device, or devices, even a pair of head phones, and some thing happens, you can't hold me responsible.

  • How can I safely get a broken-off head phone jack out of the receptacle?

The head phone jack broke off in the iPad. It is too far down to remove with tweezers. Any suggestions on how to get it out safely? I sent it to the company and was told that unless I fixed the dent on the corner and scratches to the charging base at a cost of $255, they could not fix it. So now I am trying to figure out how to get it out myself.
    Thank you for your help,
    Karen

Use super-glue on the tip of a jeweller screwdriver (tiny screwdriver) to extract the phone jack.

  • I don't want to use the head phones when making a call.  How do I turn up the ear volume on the iphone 4se

I can't hear people when they call me.  How do I raise the volume with out using the head phones?

You can only raise and lower the earpiece volume while you are on a call. So, make a call, then use the bottons on the side to adjust the volume. If you're not in a call, those buttons will adjust the ringer/media volume.

Hello, My Nano 3rd Generation suddenly stopped working. It is a refurbished and I do not use it ofetn and keep it on the charger. The one night I leave it in my pocket with the head phones plugged in and the power off. it stopped working. I thought it lost it's charge so I put it back on the charger. Now I do not get the charging indicator. Is there anything I can do?

    Probably needs a new battery.

  • Recording using the head phone out

I am sure this question has benn asked before but I couldn't find it on the postings. Is there any way I can record from CD/Tape player using the head phone output? There are no other sources of output. Thanks, Herb Hall

    herbhall274,
I've connected the headphone jack of a small handheld cassette player to the line-in of a SoundBlaster card (using a male-male stereo cable). Turn up the CD/Tape player volume slowly until you get a good sound level in your recording software that doesn't clip. That will keep your input voltage in a range that is safe for your soundcard (~v). As long as you're talking about a standard CD/Tape unit that runs on batteries or a low voltage DC adapter, or a deck unit with a low voltage headphone jack, it should work.Message Edited by Katman on 02-29-200805:36 PM

i do updata to my i phon and after finished the i phon don't open and tell me conect to i tunes .... what can i do?

The update was probably not successful.  Connect your phone to iTunes and you will probably get a pop-up message telling you to restore your phone (which will install the iOS 6 update on your phone again).

    Hi Bones777,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you do not hear sound from your iPhone speakers, try these steps next:
iPhone: No sound or distorted sound from speaker
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts5180
If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.
If you still do not hear sound after completing the troubleshooting above, I recommend backing up your iPhone data and restoring the iOS software:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings

    Best Regards,
    Jeremy

I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.
Also see this , -> Download past purchases
and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.
Actually, no it does not tell you that.
FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.
