After v4.0 upgrade I cannot select "Printing Preferences"

Recently I upgraded to V4.0. When I try to print an email or a web page I cannot select "Preferences" to modify print quality or color options. A message appears: Can not load library "LXBCPRP.DLL" Using Defaults Error 126 XP sp3. Lexmark Z605 Always worked with V3.x Still works on rest of system. After reading this forum I reset ALL printer items, upgraded and reinstalled printer drivers and other similar fixes from forum. All to no avail. Please help! Thanks in advance.

The solution I came up with was to buy a new printer. The main problem appeared to be that all Lexmark drivers available would not work on 64bit systems nor Win7 nor ver 4.x. Lexmark Vista drivers partly worked.
I found more issues when I upgraded to ver5.x a few weeks ago. but I found an add-on to help. It is "'''add-on compatability reporter 0.8.6'''". I did not go back to the old Lexmark printer, which is happy on an older XP machine.
The add-on may have worked, but I didn't try as all my systems are running well using the add-on. If you D/L it and try it, I had a learning curve problem with it's install and use. Follow the directions carefully and be prepared to have odd results, but finally after install, it worked to perfection.
I hope this helps those who still are having problems, and another thanks to all who helped me.

Is CS5 extended compatible with Epson products? I cannot select printer settings.

I've had this problem for a very long time with multiple Epson printers. This problem only applies to Adobe products as other image editing software work fine. The printer settings button does not work in Photoshop so I cannot select paper type or any of the other settings. Adobe blame the problem on Epson and Epson blame the problem on Adobe but the bottom line is, I'm left holding the bag as I paid a lot of money for these products and they don't work together. At least Epson will answer the phone and try to help. Adobe do "NOTHING" for you! I've been on here before with this problem with my last Epson Printer. It was a Stylus Photo 1270 and I was told by some wise guy that "it was a 13 year old printer, what do I expect." Well I have a brand new Epson R 3000 and I have the same problem. I'm using CS5 Extended and have all the latest drivers. I've already done everything it says here! Typical of Adobe ducking their head in the sand! I can get the print settings on other applications like Preview (no problem) which Epson claim, proves the problem lies with Adobe. An Adobe tech. told me on here (last year) that the problem was with Epson as they have to write the driver software to the application (Photoshop), yet Epson claim that the problem is not in the driver but in the application itsalf. Adobe will just bury their head in the sand and act like nobody is home!

Thanks for getting back to me Gene. I will give that a try if I continue to have problems, but I have found a workaround solution, or at least discovered a glitch. Like I said, when I click the "Print Settings..." button, it fails to open up a Print Settings window, so I have no way of choosing the paper etc.. However, If I switch it from "Photoshop Manages Colors" to "Printer Manages Colors" and then back again, I can then click the "Print Settings..." button and it will open up a Print Settings window (go figure?). If I were to guess I would put the blame on Adobe's printer interface, not the print drivers from Epson. Like I said, this problem has been haunting me for a while on numerous printers. It's intermittent so sometimes it works alright and I forget about it, then it comes back, but now I may have discovered a workaround.

Adobe Photoshop crashing when selecting print preferences

Hi There,
It seems that within the past 2 days in our company we have had users complain that Adobe Photoshop is crashing when they go to print and print preferences. They say a window appears and says "Photoshop has stopped working and windows is looking for a solution".
Has anybody else experienced this over the past couple days? It was working on all computers until recently.
The computers are a mostly Windows 8 computers with 1 Windows 7.

try resetting preferences by holding down shift-ctrl-alt while starting ps. if done correctly a confirmation dialog with appear.
if that fails, this worked for someone else,
System Preferences>Print & Fax. Selected the Konica Minolta printer (the B/W printer was working fine). Changed the name. Still didn't fix it. Went back selected my newly named Konica Minolta then "Open Print Queue" (like Dave said)>print settings. Change the driver to "Generic Postscript printer." I could print, but only on letter-size paper, no other options available (need tabloid). Went back to system preferences>print & fax>Konica Minolta2>open print queue>drivers then I reselected the updated printer drivers--the same one that hasn't been working.

After ios7 upgrade, I cannot select different ringtone for different phone #

I had set up different ringtones for specific phone numbers but after ios7 upgrade, all the phone numbers ring with the default ringtone. The ringtones are still individually assigned correctly when I look in the addresses book. I have even tried changing an assigned ring tone to something else & heard the new ring tone when it was selected, but when the number was called, I just got the default ringtone.
Any ideas or solutions?

Thank you for providing so much detail about the issue you are experiencing with Messages after upgrading to iOS 7.
The first thing I recommend is quitting and relaunching the applications on your iPhone:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

If you are still seeing the same issue after quitting and relaunching the Messages app, I recommend restarting your phone and then resetting if it's still not working:

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Note: Reset your device only if you are unable to restart it.

After sp1- R2 upgrade, Clients cannot open Software center

I am in a bit of a bind..
We upgraded from SP1 to R2 (not CU2 just the r2 for starters)
All went well and all clients in our organization have been upgraded.
Unfortunately I've discovered that the software center on the clients can no longer load.
It seems the ccm client is running fine it's just the software center that is not loading when I try to open it.
The error from the software center windows is(translated from Danish so I am unsure of the correct MS wording):
The Software center cannot be loaded. Problem loading the required components. You can try starting the software center later...
Only thing I've found so far that stands out in the logs so far (sccclient_MYDOMAIN@mrt_1.log) is:

Printing problems with Epson printer after snow leopard upgrade? I can print but text does not come out properly

I have upgraded my macbook to snow leopard and have spent ages downloading updated drivers etc. but still can't print properly to my Epson SX515W printer. I am losing half the text on each line and nearly all of the first few lines. Anybody experienced this and found a fix ?

I select Printer Preferences Prompt Main Tray or Photo tray But never given the choice.

I have an all in one photosmart c309a. At times I want to select main tray rather than Photo tray when printing. Using the option for "prompt tray" does not respond. Printer insists on using photo tray if paper is not Letter size.

I’m sorry to hear you are having problems printing from your Samsung tablet to your Photosmart C309g printer.
I have included several documents about printing from your Android tablet. The HP Printer Control app replaced the HP All-in-one Printer app. By your post I'm not sure if you still have the HP ePrint app still installed as the printing goes through the ePrint app to print. If it's has been uninstalled that would explain why you are unable to access the settings.

After Snow Leopard upgrade, my HP Color LaserJet 2600n is unusable

I use my HP printer everyday with 10.5 and quite happy with it.
Now, after the recommended upgrade, I cannot print anymore.
I am quite lucky that I have a VM Ware with Windows OS installed. Now, I have to PDF the document I want to print and then print from my VM Windows OS.
How could Apple do that? They said this is incremental upgrade, but, it kills the printer drivers. Huh...
I then called local support. His recommendations are:
1) Call HP and ask them why
2) Downgrade to Leopard 10.5 and wait until the driver is available for 10.6; Then, upgrade the OS;
lol.

I've exhausted all the suggestions that I've found on-line, IP printing guntenprint drivers, redownloaded hp drivers, etc, etc. Still can't print!! I've hooked up my laptop directly to the printer and still won't work. I see the printer via Bonjour but it will not add it using the HP driver, using the Gutenprint driver I can add it but it won't print.

We are using Z transaction to update Wbs element data to sales order line item through BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE. After EHP6 upgrade while updating Wbs element data to old sales orders(Created before EHP6 upgrade) we are getting You cannot select assembly order < order number> for deletion (V1 748) error in BAPI return table, For multiple Sales order run.
But if we run the same order individually it is getting processed successfully. W e are passing the same values in individual and multiple case.
We debugged the BAPI and found one more error related to Authorization, But BAPI return table is giving different error (V1 748)message. Please help us in finding the issue.

i have already done that, iv upgraded to version14 but there's also like 4 other downloadable ( multimedia plugins) that show up when i click check for updates. i just didnt want to touch them so i left it. is that the problem? ohh also the DOWNLOAD THIS VIDEO sign comes and goes like day by day, but mostly goes for me :(.

Sometimes I get an “Unable to Connect” error and sometimes I get “1 document in printer queue”. No matter what printer I choose after I try to go to Adobe, I cannot connect to a printer. The only solution I have come up with is a clean reboot which I can't afford to do 4-5 times a day.

The first step I would try is delete the Adobe pdf printer and then repair Acrobat.
Repairing Acrobat will bring back the pdf printer. We released an update yesterday i.e. 11.0.10. try updating to the latest version and check.
Have you tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it.
You might also want to check the performance in a new admin user account.

Cannot select output tray on a stapler stacker using universal print drivers

With universal print derivers 5.2, we cannot select output tray for print job on a stapler stacker. All jobs are set to automatic output and only uses the lower tray, not other trays.

My photoshop quits unexpectedly after I select print

Can someone please help. When I am on my mac, using cs5 and I select print, my photoshop quits unexpectedly. I upgraded to Yosemite this morning to see if that might help, but it still does this frustrating quit. It doesn't save anything and a very large error report in generated. When it gives me the option to reopen, once i select that photoshop does not open. I uninstalled photoshop, then reinstalled it-still the same problem. What can I do???

As with all unexplainable Photoshop-problems you might try trashing the prefs (after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved and making a note of the Preferences you’ve changed) by pressing command-alt-shift on starting the program or starting from a new user-account.
System Maintenance (repairing permissions, purging PRAM, running cron-scripts, cleaning caches, etc.) might also be beneficial, Onyx has been recommended for such tasks.

Weeding out bad fonts never seems to be a bad idea, either. (Validate your fonts in Font Book and remove the bad ones.)
If 3rd party plug-ins are installed try disabling them to verify if one of those may be responsible for the problem.
