After waking from sleep bluetooth mouse behaves strangely

Hello
I have this issue . First of all i have Allow bluetooth to wake from sleep but it doesn't happen but i don't really care about that.
Most important thing is that after waking up from sleep my mouse has lag when moving , the mouse behaves strangely and movement of mouse is not natural .Restarting or shutting down doesn't fix it .
Anyone knows why this happens?

Try resetting the PRAM and SMC.

  • Black screen after waking from sleep, but mouse pointer visible

I'm not sure if this is the same as the many other posts on problems connecting the Mac Mini to an external monitor. In my case, after it wakes, there is no login menu - but the mouse pointer is visible and I can move it around the screen no problem.
At present, I have to power the Mac Mini down and back up again, which is unacceptable.
What's causing this and how can I fix it?

Yes, I have this problem too. I reported to Apple about 3 or 4 weeks ago. They said no one else ever reported it and said they would escalate it but they have never got back too me. It is a pain because my mini is a media center pc and hard to get to when this happens.
For now the work around I use is to unplug the mini dvi connecter and plug it back in; this fixes the issue until the next time it happens.
+My mini (2009 version) is connected using the mini-dvi connector to a Denon receiver (with a DVI->hdmi connector) which is then connected to a sony 1080p TV. This replaced an older mini (intel duo) which did not have this problem using the same setup.+

After waking from sleep, my iMac (Lion) is unresponsive.  The mouse moves, but when I click things it won't open them.
This has happened EVERY time the iMac goes to sleep for the last few days.. the only way I have found to resolve the issue is to manually restart the computer each time via the button on the back of the iMac.
Any and all help is appreciated!
    Thanks

FWIW, I never sleep my machines or their HDs, just their displays and never have an issue waking up the displays, usually run 24/7. Give that a shot.

  • Odd Keyboard/mouse failure after waking from sleep

Here's an odd problem that's been bugging me for awhile now.
Occasionally my iMac will not allow me to log in after waking from sleep. I always log out of the machine when I'm not using it, and after a bit it goes to sleep (usually I'll just click the "sleep" button on the login display).
It wakes up with a wiggle of the mouse (Wacom Graphire), a tap of the keyboard (recent wired but numeric-keypadless Apple) or if I hit the button on my Griffin Power Mate.
But then I cannot do anything. If I click any of the edit boxes in the login window, or any of the buttons, the mouse jumps to the "sleep" button but does not click it. I can't enter a username or password because those edit boxes never get focus.
The machine is otherwise alive, as I can ssh to it from another computer or my iPhone and then from the command-line do a
    $ sudo /sbin/shutdown -r now
    for an orderly reboot.
Very bizarre and rather annoying ... this has persisted since I installed Snow Leopard. Clues, anyone?

Some, but not all of the time that the tower goes to sleep, when it wakes up the mouse works, but the keyboard does not. A restart solves the problem, but that's not practical.
My aluminum keyboard did exactly the same thing when used with the USB extension cable, but not when plugged directly to the computer. Usually, unplugging the keyboard for a few seconds would fix it. The Apple store replaced the keyboard, and I have had no problems with the new keyboard.

  • Mouse skipping wildly after waking from sleep

Not sure if I've fixed this already yet or not but, sometimes after waking from sleep my wireless mighty mouse has a bad delay (skips around a bit too). I'm using Steer Mouse (which seemed to preform normally) but have uninstalled it just to see if it was the problem. So far, so good: no mouse problem after sleep, though I've only tried it a few times.
Anyone having this problem who doesn't have Steer Mouse installed?

same prob but with the trackpad. I don't think it is a prob with your particular mouse. There is a few other topics covering this.
Common theme... only a reboot will fix.

  • Unable to get keyboard or mouse focus back after waking from sleep

Here's a problem with very specific symptoms, which I've seen on a number of Macs that I support:
    - After waking from sleep, the Macs are unable to fully achieve focus on any window. All windows, in all apps, appear to be in the background -- their frames have the lighter gray look of backgrounded windows.
    - I can grab any window and move it around, and even interact with elements of the window by clicking on them. I cannot, however, ever really bring the window to the front.
    - I can't type anywhere.
    - Regardless of what window I click on, the OS menu bar remains "stuck" on whatever app was in the foreground when the Mac went to sleep. Sadly, though, none of the menus can be selected or pulled down.
The only way out of this state is to force a restart.
I am wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior, or, better yet, has actually solved it.
    Thanks in advance!

  • After upgrading to Tiger, freeze after waking from sleep on PM G4

My experience with Tiger in the past week as not been great. The reason I upgraded was to get iSync 2.1, so that my Moto E815 phone could be sync'd with my OSX AddresBook and iCal. This wasn't possible with the latest version of Panther.
So, I upgraded to Tiger 10.4.3, and now my G4 freezes immediately after waking from sleep. After pressing the 'return' key to wake the computer, the G4 sends a signal to wake the monitor, but on top of the screen saver is a black text box which states there was a problem I must press (and hold) the power button to restart the Mac. It's written in four languages.
When I installed Tiger, I used the 'archive' option.
My computer is a bit of a FrankenMac: Originally a G4/350 with AGP, upgraded with a Sonnet 1GHz G4 processor card, 1.12GB RAM, a 160GB HDD, an nVidia GeForce3 64MB AGP video card, Samsung DVD/CR-RW drive (Patchburn3) and a Belkin PCI card with 2 additional Firewire ports and 3 additional USB 2.0 ports. When I performed the upgrade, I had the keyboard and mouse plugged into the case USB 1.1 ports, a Logitech Notebook Pro USB camera plugged into the other case USB 1.1 port, and a D-Link BT120 USB->BT adapter plugged into one of the three USB 2.0 ports on the Belkin PCI card.
When I check the Console logs after the rebooting, I see a kernal panic in the panic.log. Apple has received this a number of times from me in the past week as I keep sending them 'talkback' logs after the fact.
I also see an error in the system.log which may reveal what is going on:

I suspect the problem where the USB devices are started, because I had that Bluetooth adapter plugged in at the time of the upgrade. I'm speaking of the lines in the log which start with 'USBF'. The keyboard and mouse are useless when the black screen shows up after waking from sleep.
I've tried some of the suggestions I've found for the iBook 'wake from sleep' postings on macfixit.com and here - resetting NVRAM and removing a few of the .plist files. This didn't seem to help.
I would greatly appreciate help in resolving this issue. I've been a Mac owner since the original Macintosh (it's still in my house) and am frustrated that this is the first problem I've encountered.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks. In fact I had bought a new keyboard and mouse (Macally) and sure enough, if I unplug it before it reboots, the CD drive door stays closed and I can boot from a CD! I did not try any of the other stuff. Is there any way to get it to stop this? Why does a USB peripheral cause the CD to eject anyway? Would love to know!

Sorry for the huge post.  The lightspeed kext shouldn't be causing problem as we use this program for all mac machines, I also did extensive troubleshooting with it.  I did ask her to stop using the logitech USB device but she said it didn't make a difference, it was a plug and play device, would it still cause this issue without having it plugged in?
Thanks in advance for the help.

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether your problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click  Log in.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled under OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode. Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. Test while in safe mode. Same problem? After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Macbook pro 2010 crashes after waking from sleep

    Hi,
I upgraded to mountain lion a month or so ago and ever since my MBP often crashes after waking from sleep.  I've included the error report below. Any help would be appreciated.  After it restarts, it works fine.  Problem consistently happens after waking from sleep.
    Thank-you

  • Logic Pro X inaccessible after waking from sleep when using an MCU Control Surface

I'm having a problem I cannot seem to get around without force quitting Logic every time.  If I have a Control Surface setup as a Mackie Control (v1.0); and if the computer goes to sleep, and then i turn off the controller while the computer is asleep (for any reason), and then wake the computer without turning on the controller first, Logic becomes completely unusable and must be force quit.
My controller in this example is Solid State Logic's Nucleus controller, however it happens with other Mackie Control compatible controllers (i have another one i tested against), BUT not a real Mackie Controller sold by Mackie (i tested with that as well); more details below.
For the SSL controller, Logic automatically sets it up like this:
Now if the computer goes to sleep, and i wake it up, i get the following dialog, which is fine:
After clicking on "Continue" button or hitting the enter key, Logic is rendered useless, as if there is a modal dialog still open somewhere.  Clicking anywhere on the gui results in white flashes and nothing else.  doing cmd+Q to quit actually makes it try to quit (a save dialog appears), but it never does successfully quit, making me resort to force-quitting.  For an example, here's a pic of the file menu at this point:
I also have a regular Mackie Control Unit (MCU Pro) and the strange thing is with that unit, everything works fine after sleep, turning off controller, and re-awakening.  However, there is a difference in what kind of dialog is displayed after the sleep, which probably has something to do with this issue.
Here is the setup screen of the MCU Pro:
And here is the dialog for the missing ports after waking from sleep:
This dialog is completely different than the other control surface's missing ports dialog.  When clicking on "Keep unassigned" here, Logic resumes working fine.
The project is as minimal as possible; nothing is loaded, all that's there is an empty instrument track and a Control Surface configured.
    I'm using a Mac Mini (late 2012)
Processor  2,6 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 4000
    Software  OS X 10.9.4 (13E28)
    with Logic Pro X 10.0.7
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you ever figure out a solution to this problem?
I just pulled out my original Emagic Logic Control (MIDI) and I have having the same problem.

  • "Photoshop transparent background" after waking from sleep

Anyone experienced this problem? Photoshop users will be familiar with the terms I'm using to describe this issue...
After waking from sleep, my iMac will display the screen saver -- in this case, "Beach" -- in a frozen state (not moving at all). The photo has a lower opacity, with a checkered background similar to what you'd see in Photoshop when the background is Transparent rather than opague. Clicking on the mouse or keyboard has no effect, but when I turn the power off and then on again, all is back to normal, with the Leopard desktop and Dock back in their normal places.
Is this the system freeze that folks have been talking about?

Ok I am not that fmrealer with Photoshop. But this is what I would do.
    1. Resart my computer.
    2. Call apple or Photoshop.
    3. Re install Photoshop.
    4. It is not the end of the world and it sounds kind of cool.

  • Freeze after waking from sleep mode on MBP retina

After waking from sleep mode my MBP retina freezes for 3-5 seconds. Mouse and touchpad don't work. I wonder if it's mountain lion problem or hardware problem. Anyone faced this?

Just got a brand new model and OS X 10.8.2 (12C3012) and face the same issue, almost everytime it sleeps for too long. This is not a 3rd type SDD, this is a standard Apple SSD. I turned off the BT, I removed the almost every option from the battery saver mode. The current test is to disable the power nap - I will let you all know the result in a few hours.

  • Sound volume control unresponsive after waking from sleep

Lately, a strange problem has developed on my MacBook 13-inch Aluminum (Late 2008), running Mac OS X 10.6.4:
After waking the MacBook from sleep, the sound volume control keys on the keyboard does not affect the volume control of:
    * Neither the sound volume output by the built-in speakers,
    * nor the sound volume indicator/slider in the menubar,
    * nor the sound volume indicator/slider in the Sound preference pane in System Preferences,
Only the sound volume slider/indicator in the Sound preference pane in System Preferences has an effect on the actual volume ouput by the built-in speakers.
First I thought the problem was affected by disconnecting a set of analog headphones while the MacBook was sleeping -- it seemed that after sleep the volume control keys on the keyboard and menubar item still was set to affect the headphone port and not the built-in speakers.
However, the problem just occured after sleeping without anything connected to the MacBook. The built-in speakers were muted, when the MacBook lid was closed, and the computer went to sleep - after waking from sleep the built-in speakers were unmuted - and control was only possible through System Preferences.
    Any ideas?

I've been having the same problem on my Mac Pro for a while, finally decided to see if there were some other people having the problem. I'll see if the others have a solution yet.
One workaround I've been doing is to go to Preferences -> Sound and select a different output device. For me, I have to flick to Internal Speakers and then back to Line Out.

  • My zero Key isn't working after waking from sleep mode. This is a real problem for me because my password contains a zero

My zero Key isn't working after waking from sleep mode. This is a real problem for me because my password contains a zero.  I don't recall spilling anything or jamming it just that it worked before I closed the computer and wasn't after I woke it up.
I would like to fix the key but if that's not possible right away , Is there a way to reset my password without being able to type with a key thats in it?

Start by swapping the keyboard. You don't need to spend a fortune, and handy to have spare. USB cables can be bad even new.
When I had some problems Apple wanted to blame the mouse, keyboard, cable, but in the end I found
    A. run Disk Warrior
    B. Corrupt pref or conflict with version of Hardware Monitor and other background tasks

  • Ethernet slow to connect after waking from sleep

Since installing Lion (and updating to 10.7.1) on my 2008 24" iMac I have noticed that after waking from sleep the internet connection takes about 10 seconds to restore. I have reset the SMC and PRAM and performed a safe boot (in case this helped) but to no avail. The slow conenction can be observed if after waking from sleep the Network System Preference is clicked and the ethernet status "light" is red, changes briefly to amber and then green indcating a connection. The iMac is connected via an ethernet cable to a Linksys 802.11n 4 port wireless router.
I also have a 2010 13" MacBook Pro, with the same OS, and version, conencted in the same way to the same Linksys router and it does not exhibit this problem.
This slow internet connection access after waking from sleep is an annoyance and I'd appreciate any input on how to elimnate it.
Thanks to those wiser than I, who might read this note.

    SOLUTION FOUND!
I've found a list of possible solutions here's the link:
    http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/22/wifi-dropping-in-os-x-lion-fixes/
I solved my problem moving the Ethernet and WiFi adapters in the top of the list and Bluetooth at the end.
Move Wi-Fi to the top of the Service Order list – This is an old tip that simply prioritizes WiFi as the primary method that your Mac should connect to the internet, and it seems to help maintain connections
