After watching a movie, it always goes back to my desktop.

When a TV show or movie finishes in iTunes on full-screen mode, it always goes back to my desktop instead of my iTunes library. Does anyone know how to change this?

Next time this happens, run Applications/Utilities/Console and see if any error messages are logged. If so, post them here

Where/how are you trying to change the name? If it is in Finder (after you've downloaded the pics to your desktop), highlight the pic icon and press Return. the name field will change and you can type in your new name. Hit Return again. That should make it "stick". If you're trying to do it elsewhere, please post the steps that you've tried.
As for your card: do you eject it properly? Either drag icon to trash or hit the eject symbol in the sidebar?

My Screensaver always goes back to National Geographic

Hey.
I've set a personal Screensaver because I like it when a Slideshow will be shown on my screen while I'm not on the iMac.
For some reason my screensaver always goes back to the original National Geographics Pictures and I don't know why. I've been searching for this issue on the internet before and in some other forum they said that I have to delete the "screensaver" file from the Preferences Folder in the Libary. I don't have this file through.

Ever since I downloaded OS X Yosemite when I set screen saver to use my iPhotos it always goes back to default national geographic images

In previous versions of iTunes, when swapping between playlists (or building them, for example), every time you went back to the music folder in the library, you get back to where you left off.
Now, it seems that if you switch out of the Music folder in iTunes 11, it "loses" its place, and always goes back to the top of the list. It's a pain to have to scroll down to where you were especially if there are several thousand songs to wade through) every time you switch in and out of the Music folder.
Is there a way to go back to where you left off, like in previous versions? I'm not sure using the column browser helps with this if you're building a playlist that spans artists and genres...

It seems to happen in all the other views as well. Very annoying. Please post if you find a solution for this!

is there a way to disable FFox going to the top of the site after i use the back button?
If i am on a site and i click on a link then i use the back button, it always goes to the top of the screen or site, then i have to scroll all the way down again every time.

You can but the method varies depending on the Apple TV that you have.

To rent movies from the iTunes Store on your computer
In iTunes on your computer, click iTunes Store.
In the iTunes Store, find a movie you want to rent.
Click Rent. Your rental should begin to download immediately.
Once the rental is downloaded, you can watch it on your computer or transfer the rental to a supported iPod, iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV (1st generation):
Connect the device and select it in iTunes.
Click the Movies button.
Select the movie, and then click Move.
After all movies have been moved, click Apply in the lower-right corner of iTunes.
You must be connected to the Internet to transfer a rented movie.
If you have Apple TV 2nd gen. or later you can use Airplay to play it on your tv through the Apple TV.

Apple TV 2 w/5.2 software. AFTER ONE MINUTE IN PAUSE IT GOES BACK TO THE HOME SCREEN.

I just updated my Apple TV Ser.2 to the 5.2 software. Now, whenever I pause it it goes back to the ATV home screen after only about a minute. To resume playing I have cursor down to Netflix, select the program and start playing it again. Can I just go back to the previous software version? How? The other thing I've noticed is that I cannot use the new "Podcasts" applet. It just goes straight back to the ATV home screen.

I am having the same issue Apple needs to come up with a new update to fix this issue, also the radio, podcast options won't allow you to play a station for more than a minute before it goes away.

I cannot seem to get my settings to stay. If I have to force quit for any reason, the default settings always come back its is so frustrating. If you can only force Quite ID there is something wrong with your computer.

It never actually powers off but will go into idle/sleep state as Kate suggests.
To be honest it uses under 6W of power when in use, less when not so it may not be a huge problem, though I suppose every little helps when it comes to saving power.
