After Windows 10 upgrade, scanner application not working

All was working fine prior to Windows 10 upgrade. Everything else works - printing is OK. Am using USB connection. From HP Printer Assistant when I try to activate "Scan an Dcoument or Photo" I get: "The HP Officejet Pro 8600 was not found" Tried the following: -- Switch to network connection. Established connection, but when I start HP Printer Assistant all I get is the Print options. No scan or fax options appear.-- HP Print and Scan Doctor. Loaded new software - not specified what software. The test scans run in this application actually work fine. But then I go back to the HP Printer Assistant and it still can't find the printer. So bottom line - no ability to scan.

Here are some Windows 10 resources for you to review first;Windows 10 Upgrade Guide for HP PrintersHP Printers That Work with Windows 10 I would uninstall any HP drivers or software packages, then try installing with a fresh download. If your printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the USB cable from the printer. Search Windows for uninstall a program, and click the Uninstall a program Control Panel setting in the list of results. In the list of installed programs, click your HP printer name, and then click Uninstall or Yes to confirm the uninstall.Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the software removal. If necessary, repeat these steps for any other HP printer-related software in the list.Restart the computer. Then download the newest software package HP Officejet Pro Full Feature Software and Driver. Please let me know if these steps resolved your issue, or if there is anything else I can do to help. After Yosemite upgrade, iTunes login not working

Hello everyone!
Just boght a new Macbook Air everything was flawless. I upgraded to Yosemite and iTunes login is not working. I keep getting the message "The Apple ID you entered couldn´t be found or your password is incorrect. Please Try again".
I use my apple ID across al devices (iPhone and iPad running iOS 8), use it for iCloud and App Store at the Macbook Air without issues. I have even tried to change the password in order to solve the issue, without luck.
Any ideas on to What might happen? Ihave tried to contact apple via phone but they bump me because tha kin of support is not available in Guatemala ( where I live)

Ok, in the end I was able to solve this myself.
(thanks to tips in other discussions)
What I did:
1. Close iTunes
2. Open folder C:\Users/<user name>/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes/Cookies
3. Delete the only file in that folder
4. Open folder C:\Users/<user name>/AppData/Roaming/Apple Computer/iTunes
5. Delete the two files (not folders) in that folder
6. Re-start iTunes and run it as System Adminstrator
7. Login works

After Lion upgrade, camera does not work on internet services like facebook

After upgrading to Lion, the onboard camera no longer works with internet sites like Facebook.
I tried this with Safari and Google Chrome with the same lack of results.
You will select take photo in Facebook and the next screen is locked up. This failure occurred on two separat Macbooks.
Yet this does not happen with my Macbooks with Snow Leapord - I tried.
Any ideas on how to fix this.
Lion appears to be the first Windows like Mac operating system (glitchy). Not ready for primetime. Is this an omen of what Apple without Jobs will be like (again).
My second computer to be upgraded had conflicts with certain start-up programs that had the effect of locking out the Internet connection.
I had to manually delete these programs to get Internet to work.

Seeing the same issue on a C2D Macbook, camera worked fine yesterday afternoon using GTalk. Upgraded to Lion last night now the camera no longer shows up in any of the utilities that used to be able to see it. Don't buy the "Must be a hardware problem" too wide spread for it to not be software related.

I just upgraded to Windows 10, and now the scanner will not work, although I can still print. I downloaded the latest driver, but this does not seem to help. The error message I get states that scanner communication cannot be established. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

Greetings , I saw your post regarding the problems you are having with scanning after upgrading to windows 10.
I would start with the simple, have you tried just restarting the computer? Have you made sure your computer has all of it's windows updates? How can I tell if my computer is up to date? Most products do have updated software available for Windows 10, did you install the correct driver?HP LaserJet Full Feature Software and Driver I've also seen a few posts that say the Windows 8.1 driver will work for Windows 10 as well, so you could try that too.  HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, if it doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages you receive.  Do you know if you are able to scan using Paint? (It's the same for Windows 10, from what I've been told)Right-click the Start button () in the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type ...Click Paint in the results.Click File, and then click From scanner or camera.Select your printer, click OK, and then click Scan. After upgrading to maverick my epson WF-2540 scanner will not work. There are no upgrades showing so what do I do?

After I upgraded to Maverick my Epson WF-2504 scanner will not work. There is no software update showing necessary either. I have gone to the Epson website but it doesn't offer a download. It tells me to go to "software update" ??? Any suggestions?

I was hoping for a good bubble bursting, but I tried that HP "update" as soon as my printer stopped responding. I really really wanted my bubble popped.
One needs the Apple supplied driver for this work. It will not work because the driver to basically function on the updated Mavericks is not supplied by Apple Updates, so the HP driver that stops printing an extra page is rendered useless. I spent, wasted two days going back and forth between Support threads, HP chat and on the phone, through all the Mac channels where I was told that the 2011 HP was antique. HP said Apple had the drivers. So, they pointed a finger at one another with this unlucky customer caught in the crossfire. HP said Mac did it and Mac said HP did it. BOOM ! goes the guy in between who spent a good bit of money to have good equipment. What is wrong with expecting a printer to last beyond 3 years, or for a back up drive to last more than 3 years?
I do appreciate the attempt to help though. It was here in Discussions where I was guided to the gimp driver, drivers which in the past always worked when needed but in this case something wicked about Mavericks prevents it from working. No matter how many times HP says it works on their site all you have to do is try and then speak with customer service to find out that in a parellel universe this may logically hold. It does not hold here. If it were the case that by working in Lion it would work in Mavericks then there must be something wrong with me. But why, APPLE, is it that one day it works, do the update and then it does not when Lion was the previous OS? I did Everything, every single thing recommended by people who had good ideas and wanted to help but all too often the facts tell us nothing of the world. Facts are tools used to decieve, the world is where it works or does not work and in this case Mavericks has cost me close to $300. Probably not a big deal in some cases, but money is money. When it is gone it is gone.
I followed the complete uninstall, going into library and removing all HP, then restarting and lo and behold HP driver for 4500 not only was not present but along the way my 500gig back up drive died, as in dead, nothing.
Of course I will not buy another HP product. If you go to the list of drivers Mac says it carries the HP Officejet 4500 wireless may be present but is not carried by Apple. I have tried Apple update over and over. What I have done is wasted my time and money. In one fell update I lost a printer and a back up drive. No storms, no loss of electricity, no boogie men lurking, no malware, no gremlins, nothing but an innocent customer updating when Apple said "update". Sure it is serendipity that both my printer and back up drive died on the same day at the same time following the Mavericks update. Who am I but a loyal customer? I must be stupid because my equipment stopped responding after the update. It is not new that there are bugs and glitches following updates. I was a beta tester for OS X, it wiped my computer clean, but I understood, it was beta.
A friend told me the same about planned obsolescence in that since printers are cheap and ink is expensive they don't really care about customer satisfaction. Three years old is antique, out of date. We should and must all be angered by this hatred for the customer shown by manufacturers across the board. Blaming the customer is ridiculous and absurd but not unheard of, in fact it has become the rule of thumb from the other side. The customer is innocent. All we want is to buy premium equipment and to have it behave in a manner befitting the cost. I am an Apple user since 1994. I designed a restaurant on a 333 mhz black and white Mac. You know, the big floppy disc one. I am not new to Apple. Fiercely loyal for 20 years. This is the most angered I have been by the flippant attitude shown to us all.
Thank you for giving the links and hopeful advice. I tried them all when I first had the troubles. The good people in discussions, not the Apple plants, but the users, tried their best. I thought that by coming back later there would be updates and new links that would help. But no. Maybe one day. HP lost a customer, it means nothing to any of the manufacturers when a customer is ridiculed by their cynical attitude towards the customer. Maybe there will be someone else to come along here that has had similar experiences and found a way to fix. Used to be a gimp driver could do the trick. Used to be a way. I fear we lose control of our equipment more and more every day. This is not a rant. It is a somewhat sad expression of having been ripped off. Discussions here have helped in the past but the more things advance the less we matter. And as in the past when I was mad about an Apple failure a member sent a fix and I printed the fix for others to use in return. We help one another in the best of ways. Please spread the word, maybe there will be a fix to show up here sometime. I kissed my iOmega back up drive and the 500 gigs of writings, photos, backups and music goodbye, gone forever, poof! But the HP printer is still here on my desk. I don't want to give up hope.

Applications not working after upgrade from apex 3.2 to apex 4

we've created an application with apex 3.2 which works fine.
today we upgraded apex 3.2 to apex 4. after the upgrade the application doesn't work anymore.
we recognized the following things:
- interactive reports don't work anymore
- tabs don't work anymore
- buttons don't work anymore
what do we have to do, to get our apex 3.2 application to work with apex 4?

I've seen similar problems to my applications. I've found a problem with the derived columns or link columns in reports. The only solution I founded is to delete the columns and then make them again. Now are working. No problem founded specifically for the interactive reports. If there is an automated solution for the derived columns or link columns it will be appreciated ;-).

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and Bluetooth and HP Simplepass complications since doing a Windows upgrade. Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant. Just download and run the application. Just to make sure all drivers and software are updated as well.
Here is a document on troubleshooting and using Bluetooth if needed. Under the tips for finding a Bluetooth device, there is a section on making sure the wireless communication is turned on. This is an important section.
Here is another document with some great information about Bluetooth fixes.
Here is a link to troubleshoot the HP Simplepass software.
The HP SimplePass Identity Protection Software must be updated to v8.00.57 or later. Here is a link to download the latest. You will have to uninstall the old software.

It was never completely clear whether it was just hidden or whether Apple ran a download page for iChat 6.
As the Download for Messages Beta was separate and "Deleted" iChat it would seem it would be another download for iChat 6.
iMessages will not function as it is only an Account type within Messages and iChat 6 does not have it.
Therefore messages on the iPhone will not sync to the Mac. (until you get Mountain Lion and Messages in that OS X version).
Mountain Lion and it's full version of Messages will not sync the iMessages that have happened in between the 14th December 2012 (end date of Messages beta) and the Install of Mountain Lion if you decide on that route.

Applications not working after sync

Hello, Can anyone help, been searching the web to no avail.
I have just invested in an Ipod touch on FW 2.1.1
I installed some apps using the touch via my wifi & they work ok, however when I try to run them after a sync they do not work. They look like they are starting, then back to the menu screen. An ideas??
ps I have downloaded them via itunes store & they will not install to the touch eithern (all boxes ticked to sync etc) very annoyed at this

- Ok I got it all working agian,... heres what I did: I deleted a app that was'nt working and I synced it with itunes. I then went to: Itunes>ipod>Applications and choose "All applications" under "Sync applications". Now all apps are working, hope all worked with you. Btw the app that I deleted was the Zippo lighter, maybe its glitchy or something.
