AG310:How to upgrade firmware on the Voice part?

Team, Very simple question, where do I get the latest sipura code to upgrade the voice section of the AG310. Currently running 5.1.5(GWa). Is that the latest, I check the AG310 download section, it only has the router firmware and not the voice component, unless it gets bundled together ? Please help. Thanks.

You can use the Phone Upgrade area on the web page to upgrade firmware files on the phones by using the USB connection or by using the WLAN. To upgrade the phone software, enter the phone software TAR (firmware file name) or use the Browse button to locate the firmware file on the network.
To display the Phone Upgrade area, access the web page for the phone as described in the Accessing the Configuration Web Page for a Phone section available at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/7921g/5_0_1/english/administration/guide/21adm50.pdf

The 7921g is connected via USB to a PC. I am using a browser to access the phone. Documentation says "Click the Phone Upgrade hyperlink under SYSTEM options. " but that option is not present or not visible.

How to I completely disable the voice activated dialing on my Blackberry?

One thing you might try is going to System Preferences/Sound and changing the output from Internal Speakers to Line Out or Digital Out. Line Out would be for headphones. I assume it keeps this setting after a reboot but you should test it.
Disabling the sound will also disable all warning sounds.  Those can be pretty useful.

The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.

I've tried something like 100 MTU number, and I still get the same disconnection problems.. seems the power LED is blinking while I get disconnected.
it seems this is a pretty bad router, that gets overwhelmed when you download too much on two or more computer simultaneously.
all my computers are using WIRED connections.
I need help before I terminate this unit with a large wooden club.
really need help, if linksys doesnt want to lose a customer forever.
ps:also -- whats up with the cheap 2mb flash and 8mb ram on this version? earlier version of this unit had 4mb flash and 16mb ram.. im very sad to see you guys downgrading with higher version numbers.. nice marketing!

I mean I tried 100 different MTU number from 1500 to 1000, with nothing happening..

  • How to downgrade Timecapsule 7.6.4 to 7.6.1... I have no button "Upgrade Firmware" on the latest release of rhe Airport utility

With a TC 2nd generation, I have problem with Wifi dropping down after few days.
I'm running 7.6.4 firmware and it looks that people having same problems have fixed it with downgrading to 7.6.1
On the latest Airport utility (running on my MacOSX maverick), I could find any button (or menu) to upgrade firmware (or choose to downgrade to a previous version)
Has anybody an idea to force this downgrade?
    Many thanks for your help!
    Best
    Marc

    It is a hidden option.
Click on the TC in the airport utility.. then in the summary screen..
Click on the version with the option key held down.. all the other firmware available show up.. select one..

  • How to install firmware for the WRT54G

I have downloaded the newest firmware for this router, but the file is a .bin. There is no .cue, .iso or other file associated with it. How do I open this file, or burn it?
I tried creating a .cue file using a .txt text editor:
    FILE "WRT54Gv5v6_v1.02.2_fw.bin" BINARY
    TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
    INDEX 01 00:00:00,
    and renamed it WRT54Gv5v6_v1.02.2_fw.cue
Roxio's Creator Classic will burn it to a CD, but when I try to load it by inserting the disk, the disk is blank - but shown as 100% used in raw format.
Any suggestions? Why would Linksys provide this firmware in this truly complicated format?

You point your browser at http://192.168.1.1/ This is the LAN IP address of the router inside your LAN. You can connect to this address when you are connected to the router. You don't need internet for that.
The router came with a firmware preinstalled. Without the firmware the router is just a piece of junk. The configuration program on the CD only sends settings to the working and operating router, i.e. a router which is running its firmware. You can update the firmware by uploading a new firmware file to the router. But there was no firmware on the CD nor was it installed anywhere during initial setup. The router came with a firmware otherwise you could not use it.
Just go to http://192.168.1.1/ and click on the Administration tab. The firmware upgrade function is somewhere on a subtab. You'll see a browse button with which you select the firmware file you downloaded before. Once you press the Upgrade button (please only do it if you really want to upgrade the firmware!) the browser sends the selected firmware file to the router where it will be installed after the router reboots itself.
There is no point installing it from a CD as you only have to transfer the file to the router. Burning it to a CD only to load it from the CD does not make a different. As you have mentioned it does not make a difference where the firmware file is. Only as you have to download it anyway and then just transfer it to the router there is no point in burning it on a CD. You upload it to the router and that's it. Afterwards you delete the file because you don't need it anymore and you can download the latest firmware from linksys.
When you write "DSL, cable and even VoIP modems" upgrading using any OS, did you ever do it? How exactly did you do it? Are you sure there is an updater for MacOS? Linux? Solaris? ... I think most modems will do it in a similar fashion using a browser upload.
I don't understand what the problem is with this kind of firmware upgrade for you. It works very well and is often used. Many devices have browser interfaces nowadays and thus it is only natural you do the firmware upgrades the same way. The router can be upgraded using tftp as well. However, there are a few pitfalls with this method and often you'll need a command line prompt to run it. But these are the only possibilities to send the firmware file to the router and somehow you have to get it there.

  • How to upgrade firmware

    Hi ,
I have 6230i , and I want to upgrade my firmware newest one.
How can I learn newest firmware version of 6230i?
    My version is 3.40
And How can I upgrade firmware version of my 6230i?
    thx.

With the 6230i, you can send/take it to your nearest Nokia authorized service/repair center and ask them to do the update for you.
You can try this site for locating one:
    http://www.nokia.com/repair
With some models you could use "NSU" or the Nokia Software Update application on a Windows PC, but unfortunately it doesn't support the 6230i (maybe the support will come, or at least with your next Nokia device it will be possible):

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
From your post, I cannot quite tell the specific process you are attempting...so I will give you everything...
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    6) Disconnect your PC from the internet and turn off all radios on your BB (consider also removing the SIM...not likely necessary, but just in case)
76a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
7b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 7a or 7b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
Good luck and let us know!
