Again, a new annoying bug in 3.1 (Handover to CS3)

Congratulations Apple!
This is already the third new bug, Apple built into the version 3.1 . With version 3.0.x everything worked fine.
Try this:
- Handover four NEFs to CS3 via context menu
- 3.1 produces 4 TIFFs as expected
- but only one image is opened by CS3
Again, Apple well done.
You broke my workflow, since there is no more a batch processing available, as it was before with 3.0.x.
Thanks a lot, 3.1 is the worst update for Aperture so far!!!!!

I just tried this with another external editor (Acorn) and it worked perfectly - I got 4 images.
So I'm not sure it's an Aperture bug?

10.5.2 and new Adobe bugs...

I just recently updated to 10.5.2 and the subsequent leopard graphics update, hoping to resolve annoying little bugs in my Adobe programs. For example, when switching spaces into an open Photoshop document in 10.5.1, all my toolbars and windows would be grayed out (pretty annoying). With 10.5.2, all those windows disappear completely! arrgh... (really annoying)
I was expecting Apple to fix these kinds of bugs with this update, not add to them. Is anyone else experiencing this bug or any other new Adobe bugs?

I don't know if you already has solved your problem, but here's my contribution.
After the 10.5.2 Upgrade, I had the same problem that you with PS CS3 and ID CS3, but before I did a reinstall from 10.5.2 Combo Update, I upgraded my FontExplorer to it's newest version, and trashed the apple.CoreGraphics.plist from my user's Library/Preferences.
After that, it wasn't necessary to make the Combo reinstall. And now, everything is working fine again.
During the problem, I also noticed that my Spaces Preferences Panel didn't work, so I couldn't turn it off. Also, I noticed that doing a log in from another user in my Mac everything worked ok. I think this is the cause of the Adobe CS3 Apps Crash.
I expect my solution works for you, and for others too. In case that you use FontExplorer.

E60 annoying BUGS (fw 3.0633.09.04)

Got latest fiwmware for my E60, but still have a couple of very annoying bugs:
1)Contacts with long names are NOT SCROLLED! Neither at "Contacts" nor when a call is recieved. I got 2 Contacts, named "Alexander Tkachenko Senior" and "Alexander Tkachenko Junior". But on my screen I see only "Alexander Tkachenk..."
How should I guess who is calling? Or who's number am I dialing? There should be a scrolling, or warapping, or something else, but not such a bug.
2)Contacts->Options->Settings is set to "First nm. Last nm." But when I recieve a message form any contact at my Inbox it's marked like "Last nm. First nm.". No matter, which of "First nm. Last nm." or vice versa is selected. So when "Alexander Tkachengo Junior" sends me a message, I recieve it from "Tkachenko Junior Alexander". And, by the way, names in "Messaging" are not scrolled to!
It's not a normal behaviour.
3)Standart music player still got some bugs. For example when mp3 track has a "!" in it's id3 tag "Track Name" field, track artist is not detected.
And when something is playing, I have no options to add something else to the _current_ playlist.
I want those bugs to be fixed!
It's not a cheap phone and I want it to work.
am I posting this to right place?
Or should I call to some Care Center or smth like this?..

I've brought my E60 to the Nokia Care Center to have a look to these bugs:
Bugs in E60 firmware
1. email memory is limited to 512 Kb (int memory). Memory full error while phone has 64MB internal memory.
2. When automatic email sync is enabled for only Wireless, after serveral hours unavailability of a (registered) WiFi network, the automatic sync is switched off when the phone detects an unregistered WiFi accespoint. Auto detection of WiFi networks too.
3. Caller echo when the phone has been connected to a bluetooth carkit [2], Power off/on resolves the problem but is unwanted solution.
4. Phone does not connect via Bluetooth sometimes (Carkit and PCSuite). Disabling/enabling bluetooth solves this problem (New since FW 3.0633.09.04)
5. Sometimes message function cannot be opened while the phone is connected to the mail box. One has to disconnect manually, before inboxes can be opened and messages can be read.
6. Sometimes the Battery drains very fast, It's unclear under which conditions this happens.
Most of the bugs can be reproduced very simply (on any E60):
1. Send a large text email (>512Kb) to the inbox (POP3) and retrieve the email on the Nokia E60. Try to open the email message.
2. Configure an email box (POP3) and to retrieve email messages automatically. Set the connection to a WiFi accesspoint which is out of reach. Wait for some hours. Automatic email retrieval will be disabled and a message appears. I could not find out whether this has a relationship with the GSM Radio. Disabling automatic email retrieval might be triggered when the GSM radio switches between GSM antennas or GSM senders (same provider).
3. Caller echo is the most heared bug on the Nokia forum [2]. It's not an exclusive bug for the Nokia E60. Connect the Nokia to a non-Nokia Car kit, make a call, adjust the sound volume using the carkit volume buttons and disconnect the phone from the carkit.
After this action the caller (not the one who holds the E60) does hear themselves multiple times when speaking. My Car has a factory built in Bluetooth carkit so I cannot change this. My previous phones (Nokia 6310 and 6210i) worked perfectly.
4. Connect and disconnect the phone by turns between the (non Nokia) Bluetooth Carkit and Computer with PC suiten and a (Widcomm) bluetooth connection. After a couple of times the bluetooth radio has to be disabled and enabled to make it work (connect) again.
5. When the phone is connected to the mailbox to retrieve email (automatically), The messages area cannot be opened when the phone is connected to the mailbox (POP3). One has to manually close the connection first. (all the time). It seems the connection with the mailbox is not always closed automatically for some reason during automatic retrieval.
6. I do not know how to reproduce (yet)

Two annoying bugs and in PSE 7

(PSE7, Windows XP SP3)
THE MOST annoying bug (for me): From time to time, Album pane and Keyword Tags panes become blank. Nothing actually happens to the tags, but the only way to restore the panes, is to restart the program.
I still didn't manage to figure out precisely what triggers it, but I think it has something to do with "Fast User Switching" on XP...
Watched folders are not updated when new files are added with an external program. In my case, I use Canon Photo Professional to process RAW files and create JPGs and TIFFs at the same directory as the original RAW files are stored, which is part of the Catalog. Nothing happens and new files are not detected even if the folder is watched.
Any ideas?

Let me add to this list a number of issues that seem to be widespread with respect to the sync engine:
Sync engine does not recognize existing content on install of PSE7 if it's an upgrade from a previous version. Changed photos get sync'd, but you have to make a change to everything to get it all picked up by the engine.
Sync stalls regularly. No indication is given to the user that sync is no longer progressing (double green arrows remain). However, the sync process stops consuming CPU and stops communicating with API.PHOTOSHOP.COM (both verifyable using resource manager).
Sync is extreemly slow. The upload times are an order of magnitude longer than my available bandwidth would permit. This appears to be due to the excessive handshaking necessary for each individual upload (no bulk transfer implemented).
Not necessarily a bug, but the lack of status information about the sync progress is dismal.
Let's hope the PSE7 team is as receptive to user help in troubleshooting as the PS.COM team turned out to be...

LR 3.6 exported images can't be read by other application (annoying BUG!)

Hi,
I am working with M.Objects which is a very neat and comfortable picture show application.
Images that are exported under LR 3.6 can't be imported there. M.Objects is a Windows application.
So I threw 3.6 into trash, and installed LR 3.5 again.
Now it works again properly!!
Please, remove this annoying bug!

Hi, I am sorry for posting in the wrong user-forum!
But I try to explain my problem: I'm working with LR 3.6 on an iMac (OSX 10.6.8). My picture files are on an iOmega hard drive. After LR-work the images are exported to a FAT-formatted LaCie hard drive. My slide/picture show application only runs on a Windows 7 partition on my iMac. So I copy the images from the LaCie hard drive to the Windows pc.
With 3.5 everything worked really fine. But with 3.6 my show application M.Objects (http://www.mobjects.de/) says „can't read the files“. The Windows preview app. can open the image files.
But now I've found out that I can export the images to a Vosonic hard drive, and M.Objects can read and import my images. So my problem is solved. I don't know why on two different FAT hard drives files are stored in ways that on one hand it works but doesn't on the other hand.

Nokia X6 *NEW* date bug.

This is a new possible bug which I've just spotted on my Nokia X6 16GB, which is slightly worse than the date incorrect bug described here: /t5/Xseries/X6-Date-incorrect/td-p/684385
Instead of the date on the phone reverting back by 24 hours, when I switched on my X6 just now, the date reverted all the way back to 01/01/2010
This is the 1st time I've seen a X6 have its system date automatically shoot all the way back to 1st Jan 2010.
Bug detected on firmware version 31.0.004

This is also associated with the other date bug, I have seen this as well as losing a day.

Cairo-Compmgr Annoying Bug

I recently(today) installed cairo-compmgr to enhance my openbox experience. Some minor errors and such occurred(mainly graphical anomalies) however there is a rather annoying bug that occurs when I affect the desktop(where the background appears). For example I would close thunar with it as my only open window, after it closes there is a square in the middle of my screen that shows the contents of the now closed window. When I right click the image disappears. Also if i hover my mouse over a window in my panel(tint2) the little box displaying information is stuck on the screen, until I affect it in come way. It's not a major issue but I figure that if I'm going to use a program to enhance my graphics its redundant to have graphical issues. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have this same problem with Openbox + cairo-compmgr-git and when I close Firefox. I have Intel integrated graphics with an empty xorg.conf

One annoying bug

Sorry, my ENG is not perfect. First of all I want to say that Firefox for Android is the only one browser that works with chat bizarre.com.ua (Opera and other browsers don't update main frame in the chat), but has one annoying bug. When you enter the chat everything's work fine, but when you sroll up and down main frame (center frame) the autoscroll is not working after that. This is very important for me and some other users of Firefox for Android in this chat. Please fix that problem. I don't know where to write, if I'm wrong please tell that info to developers. Thank you.

If you selected the album at the left then the righthand pane will display the photos in that album. That's why you couldn't drag a photo from the right side into the album.
There is no way to see the contents of an Event and an Album at the same time. You either see the photos in the Event or those in the Album. Make sure you've clicked on the event and then drag the desired photos onto the album's icon at the left. Do not click on that album icon.

Symbian Anna - Annoying bug with home-screen short...

Hello guys,
Since I've updates to Anna I'm noticed that sometimes when I try to open a home-screen shortcus, it doesn't respond even that I can feel the feedback. I was trying to figured it out why that happens since it was really annoying me so I've finded out that when you scroll the home-screen, you have to wait 1 or 2 seconds for the shortcuts start to respond, that annoying bug also happens with the calendar widget. What I really don't understand is that doesn't happen with any other widgets.
I wonder if other people are experiencing the same problem and I'm want to know if Nokia plans to fix it, I'm was getting tired of Symbian already to have to get used to another shortcome.

Annoying bug when opening a folder as "CoverFlow"

CoverFlow is a very great feature when working with videos and photos without opening Aperture nor FinalCut.
But when I was organizing my photo files, I've discovered this annoying bug, where if you open a folder as CoverFlow, and then you delete some files from the list (bad pictures) the CoverFlow part won't update, so it will get out of sync with the list of files.
So after deleting any files, you must close and re-open the finder window to get it updated. Otherwise you will think you are deleting the right file, but it's a totally different file then the selected in the list.
I've tested on different ways, just to make sure, and it happens every time, easy to duplicate.
Please fix it!

Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

New JMF bug?

I'm developing a videoconferencing app, by using client-server architecture.
Today i get the following error message, after i closed my app by pressing <CTRL>+C in the DOS Prompt.

I never catch this error, 'cause in the past i ever used the 1.4.2 JVM's version (i think this is the main reason...).

Recently i made some tests with my Client app, and this works with 1.5.
Of course, there are some problems, e.g. the GUI's layout is not perfect, but i send and receive RTP streams normally... strange...
By the way, for the moment i'll use the JVM version 1.4.2, thanks.

Suggested defense against the new "Bash bug"?

I am looking for suggestions on how to protect my Mac OS X Server from the new "Bash bug" that has just been announced today. The bug affects Mac OS X, Linux and Unix.
I run a simple web server, nothing fancy. Only HTML, PHP and MySQL. The only open ports are TCP port 80 for web hosting and 3306 or MySQL access.
Any suggestions, advise, insights, et cetera is appreciated!

Annoying bug with Control Center

hello guys
i have this really annoying bug with control center
when you open, for example sms app, the keyboard shows, and you want to pull CC up.
just do it slowly and you'll see how your finger is typing smth like " bgt", ios for some reason isn't blocking keyboard when i'm trying to use control center
when you'll it fast, there is 100% chance to type space or one extra letter
i think people can accept such kind of bug on galaxy phones, but not on iphone.
is there something that i can do to fix this?

Keyboard clicks don't register unless you lift your finger when it's on a key; while the fact that you are dragging your fingers over the letters when swiping up for Control Center causes keyboard keys to be pressed is certainly annoying and admittedly kind of dumb, it shouldn't result in any letters getting actually typed. I just tried this myself, and although I do manage to "hit" a key on each row of the keyboard, they keys themselves never register with the Messaging app because my finger doesn't lift until the end of the swipe to bring Control Center up.
