AGAIN: What happened to "Ask me about every cookie?"
I have to ask this question AGAIN, because I'm not getting an answer, and it's disturbing because it relates to grave security issues. (and I forgot to record the URL of the first post, even though I did save the page itself), and when I search for my username on the forum, I'm informed that there are no results in English, AND, since you provide no image upload for this question, I'll have to do it in a reply (which will not BE a reply).
First post, which nobody is answering:
One "solution" says to open "tasks" menu. The IS no "tasks" menu. There is no "preferences" menu, either, only "options." Under "options," there are only two possible sub-menus that are supposed to be of help here, "privacy" and "security," but neither now offers what USED to be available: "Ask me about every cookie." This is really frustrating and angering me because these pervasive, invasive, and destructive cookies cause irreparable harm (short of system reformat) to my operating system by allowing transparent access to my system by unauthorized domains. What happened to "Ask me about every cookie?" How am I supposed to limit and control cookies now? Currently, I have only one option: Review daily the HUNDREDS of cookies and manually delete the unwelcome newcomers, and back up the cookie list to the benefit of newly added WANTED cookies. If I let this go a few days, I have to delete the entire cookie cache and restore the list from backup. Why am I no longer afforded the protection of cookie setting approval? How is this removal of control improving my security in light of no provision of an added interface towards this end? I abandoned Internet Explorer for a VERY good reason (THIS one!), and now it looks like Firefox has become equally useless in this regard, and that I have absolutely no motivation whatsoever to use Firefox anymore. I might as well just go back to Internet Explorer, especially seeing as how I can no longer find Firefox Live Chat through your help options so I can "talk" to a live human.

What? Has nobody else noticed that their cookie cache is now filling up with garbage and threats? How do I get Firefox to ask me to vet every cookie again? Why have "they" decided to make Firefox an insecure browser? The way it's configured now, I have to examine every single NOW-UNAUTHORIZED cookie on a daily basis, and this makes the job MUCH, much harder, because a lot of required/friendly cookies have abstrusely arcane names, and when I mistakenly delete them, I screw up my browsing/login experience.

WOW--what happened to my post :) about dropping calls

What's up with that??Dropped calls are such a frequent occurrence with all cell phone carriers, having a steady connection at all should be considered a miracle, and enjoyed while it lasts. Part of it has to do with an oddity of cell phone technology which can't be avoided. A cell phone picks up a signal from a tower that radiates from the tower in a cone like shape. The immediate vicinity of that tower, you may be below that cone. You'd better hope there is another tower in the right range when you are in that vicinity to cover the area below that cone from a further distance. When you are passing between towers, signals can and frequently do get dropped. Suffice it to say, the issue is with the location, not the equipment used to place the call. Consider whom in the call is moving, and track it down to that location, and ask the carrier to look into having better coverage there.

What Happened to the thread about problems
I was getting all sort of emails about the thread:
"iTunes 7 Little list of Problems (add here yours)" in the Apple Discussions forum "Using iTunes for Mac"
and now when I try to access it it says I don't have permission...what's going on here APPLE!

Whether this forum is the place to do it is another question - but I instinctively came here first to see what others thought of the new iTunes, so I imagine its the place where most other knowledgable users come. However its Apple's decision as to what is relevant, so there's no point arguing with it I suppose...
As a software developer myself, I would be happy to see a list of any bugs that we'd missed as a team, especially important in consumer-grade stuff I feel. I'm sure Apple's developers aren't stupid, so will be disappointed to have missed some of these things. Fingers crossed

It seems to have vanished? I had two discs which, when played on the Qosmio G30, went through the menu but then crashed the player.

What happens when left on Pause??
Im just about to get the 2g shuffle. Im a little ****** that it doesn't maintain its memory of where i left off in my playlist of shuffled songs, and that it will repeat continuously after whole list has been played through. From what i understand it will lose my playlist order, if i shut it off. what happens when i leave it on pause, will it shut off in a minute and will restart from last moment once play is pressed, or will it lose its memory..or stay paused and drain the battery,,,,, what happens?

After PAUSE, if left untouched it will go to sleep...but should retain position. The proper procedure is to press PAUSE and then hold PAUSE down for 3 seconds which will disable the buttons...
IF you PAUSE and then turn OFF, it will play from where it was PAUSEd.
Another neat feature is automatic PAUSE when the earphone plug is disconnected... -
Every once in a while, letters stop working on my keyboard. I have to restart to get them to work again. Happens about once a week. Why and how do I keep this from Happening? An example is: I try to type Super Excited and the U, E and P won't work. But once I restart, all the letters work.
It could be an accumulation of all sorts of bits of info and depending on the last time you cleared the system cache either manually or via a factory reset on that phone you might find a difference there after doing so with many other system caches.
Clearing the application cache removes temporary files and frees up memory - your personal settings or information remain intact.
Be sure you clear only the application cache and not the application data.
From the home screen, tap Apps.
Scroll to and tap Settings.
Tap More.
Tap Application manager.
Swipe left to view the All tab.
Scroll to and tap an application.
Tap Clear cache.
You've now cleared the application cache. -
I want to update my applications I keep on entering the password and it keeps asking me about it and again I enter it and nothing happens although it is correct I can download new apps but can't update the old ones
Then you will need the password for the old account in order to update the app.
apps are tied to the apple id that was used to purchase the app.

I do not know what happened, all of a sudden Firefox does not want to work anymore. Had been conected to audible. Retried about 4 times.... no luck had to force quit every time. The three Firefox app. into garbage, emptied garbage and redownloaded new version from Firefox. Reinstalled but same thing happened again... no connection.
What can I do, I like Firefox better than Safari, had it for years on my Mac.
Please let me know.

I think it might be the problem with one of your plugins.
Try to uninstall the webbrowser AND remove the storage from Firefox in your user-account (Linux: /home/username/.mozilla). You can check the list of installed Add-Ons in Firefox under "Extras => Add-ons" or by pressing Shift + Strg + A (Linux). -

I have been trying to download ios8. I dont remember exactly what happened but at some point I ended up unplugging my phone from my computer because there was an error. Every since then it has not been turning on or responding to iTunes.
When it does respond to iTunes it tells me that I have to restore my phone. I click restore and it says "Extracting Software". It gets all the way to the end and then says that there is an error; something about a disk being full?
I have no idea what is going on and I could really use some help.
Thanks.1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now? -
IPhoto was open, but "unexpectedly quit". When I opened it again a couple days later, my most recent photo uploads (for the past month or so) were missing, with dated Events folders saying "no photos". This had happened another time about a year ago? What happened, and how do I retrieve my photos? I hadn't backed them up, but do they automatically do so on iCloud?
Assuming you're running iPhoto 9 or later do the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down to open the First Aid window. Be sure to follow the circled recommendation in the screenshot.
2 - run Option #4, Rebuild Database. -
I want to know what happened to my ipod, cause after a while that it was off when I want to run in on it gets lines, like if that would be broken and I have to turn off again..
What generation is your iPod? My sister's 2g/3g(I'm not sure which) was doing something similar, but it would put a different graphic on the screen every time. We took it in to the apple store and they didn't determine what it was. One thing they said to try was to restore it and gradually add content on to see if it's an app or something loaded on it. If that doesn't work then they said it's probably something in the software or firmware. They gave her the option of getting one exactly like the one she had or getting the new one like I have. She ended up getting the new one on sale at target.
