AGB's

Hallo miteinander,

~~~ google translate
Der Ausschluss ist, dass sie Windows-(oder Mac) laufen.
Laptops und voller Windows8 Tabletten sind in Ordnung.
Sie können versuchen, auf andere Geräte zu laden, aber es wird sowieso nicht funktionieren ....
(getippt auf einem Desktop)
~~~
The exclusion is that they must run Windows (or Mac).
Laptops and full Windows8 tablets are fine.
You can try to download to other devices, but it won't work anyway ....

• Beim Einkaufen auf iPhone mit iOS7 sollen die AGB's bestätigt werden. Aber der Button fehlt.

Hallo zusammen!
Folgendes Problem! Auf meinem iPhone 4 habe ich das iOS7 installiert. So weit so gut.

• AI without Cloud

Hello,
i am already an Adobe customer, and i think about buying most recent versions of AI, etc. However, i realized, that i can only purchase subscriptions of so called cloud services.
So here is my question: Am i refused purchasing and using most recent versions of Adobe products, when i don't want to use the cloud services (or when i am not even allowed to connect to Adobe cloud services)?
Here is why i cannot use the Adobe cloud:
1.) I do not agree with the Adobe Cloud TOU/AGB
2.) I don't trust Adobe security - neither product security of stand-alone programs, nor Adobe online services
Actually, i do agree with the TOU of standalone software products that are not depending on cloud-services.
Thanks!
Regards,
Thorsten

you need not store any files on adobe servers when you license and use adobe products. and you can't store any of adobe's installed programs on adobe servers.
in fact, you only need to be connected to the internet to initially download and install your programs and then once every 30+ days so adobe can check that your subscription is up-to-date.
in particular, the installed programs are on your computer, not adobe's. the files used and produced by adobe's programs are on your computer (and anywhere else you transfer them, but you need not use adobe's cloud storage).

• Can I install Tiger on external drive with OS9 on internal?

I bought and plan to install OS X 10.4.3, but will continue to use OS 9.2.2 about 95% of the time because I can't afford to update all 3rd-party software at this time, so I want to start up in 9.2.2 usually. Can I install 10.4.3 on a partition of my external HD with firewire and leave 9.2.2 on my internal HD, then pick a start-up OS by a key combination or such? How should I do it, and what problems might I encounter? To partition my external HD should I use OS 9.2.2, the original 9.0 CD, or the new 10.4.3 DVD?
I have a Power Mac G4 (AGB Graphics) with an internal 10 GB HD and an almost-empty external 120 GB firewire HD (Iomega). Thanks.

Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Yes you can do that, though I'm not too sure that Iomega's firmware is up to date to do it. Be sure that any data you have on the Iomega is backed up elsewhere before attempting it. Some Firewire drives without up to date firmware from the manufacturer may become invisible and unusable after a software update on Mac OS X 10.3 or later. Also an AGP PowerMac needs its firmware updated while booted from Mac OS 9 before installing Mac OS X 10.2 or later:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=86117
That said, if after testing you find it does work, you can switch booting between both drives using the Option key booting as described in the Startup Manager article:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106178
Leave OS 9.2.2 on your internal, and 10.4 on your external. That will be a lot easier than partitioning. Some information I wrote for others which can help you on your migration to Mac OS X is provided in this link below:
http://www.macmaps.com/macosxnative.html
If you really want to partition, be aware that only third party software is available to partition without erasing the entire drive, and you'll want to make sure additional partitions that will boot Mac OS 9 have Mac OS 9 drivers installed as my link above states. Whatever you do, be sure you have at least two copies of your data at all times:

Like I said, I own a Lenovo Y510, they don't even have Windows Vista 64 BIT drivers, let alone 7 Beta.

• Will iMac G5 2.1 run Final Cut Pro 4.0.1

Tried to install and run Final Cut Pro 4.0.1 on my iMac G5 2.1ghz and it installed but would not run. I did get a message that read that some software or hardware was needed (AGB Graphics Card was listed in red) but I would think that the iMac had everything it needed. If you know if 4.0.1 should run or if the newer 5.0 will run on a std. off the shelf G5 iMac, please let me know?
Much Thanks
Greg J

Final Cut Studio will run on your iMac.
If he has the 1st gen iMac G5, it should run. If he has the ALS or the iSight, it won't.
He has the 2.1 GHz, so he should have the 1st gen, yes?
"Final Cut Pro 4 through Final Cut Pro HD 4.5 require a computer with an AGP video card for installation. PowerMac G5 (Late 2005) models (released October 19, 2005) and iMac G5 (iSight) models feature newer PCI Express video cards. Because of this, you can't install Final Cut Pro 4.x on these computers. Final Cut Pro 4.x is not supported on these computers."

• Send order to vendor and to internal user

Hello,
my question if we can do the following scenario with a workflow.
Until now we send orders as PDF to a vendor using transmission medium 5. This works well.
Now we need the same PDF send to an internal mail. So the user has an dulicate of the order in his mail box.
Our idea was now to do this with a workflow and transmission medium 9. But how can we get/add the PDF to a work item?
Or maybe is it possible to additional documents like AGB's to the vendor mail.

Hi Arnfried,
I guess you can do this simply using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 to send mails with attachments.
Hope this helps!

• Add ADC monitor

Hi, I have just purchased a second hand 17" Apple Studio Display which has an ADC connector, my G4 AGB giga has a Rage 128 Pro fitted with both ADV and VGA ports.
I have a monitor connected via the VGA port and would seek advice on two points,
(a) Can I just connect the Apple monitor along side the VGA monitor and have the two montiors running together simultaneously, or do I have to disconnect the VGA?
(b) I am going to fit a Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card which only supports VGA and DVI, I know I am going need an adapter to connect the Apple but can anyone let me know what the part numbr is and approximate cost of said adapter? And is the 9800 suitable to run the apple monitor?
Thanks for looking.
Robert

Hi
(a) Can I just connect the Apple monitor along side
the VGA monitor and have the two montiors running
together simultaneously, or do I have to disconnect
the VGA?
You should be able to have both monitors running simultaneously although I'm almost certain they'll simply mirror each other, i.e. you'll see the same image on both, due to the graphics card. As far as I'm aware the first stock graphics card to support an extended desktop was the GeForce 2MX TwinView which shipped with a later G4 model.
(b) I am going to fit a Radeon 9800 Pro graphics card
which only supports VGA and DVI, I know I am going
need an adapter to connect the Apple but can anyone
let me know what the part numbr is and approximate
cost of said adapter? And is the 9800 suitable to run
the apple monitor?
A DVI to ADC adapter can be bought from the UK on-line Apple Store for £69.00. Unfortunately it's fairly expensive as it also includes a power supply to power the monitor through the ADC cable.
The Radeon 9800 and DVI to ADC adapter will support the monitor, although ATI officially recommend a power supply with a greater wattage than the stock power supply in the Gigabit Ethernet. It should work though so long as you don't have too many other internal things installed (drives and PCI cards etc). A Radeon 9000, whilst much less powerful, would be cheaper, wouldn't require the adapter and doesn't have the same power draw and heat issues. They're no longer available retail but seem to appear on eBay quite often. They were available in two flavours, with 64MB and 128MB VRAM. I guess it mainly depends on whether you just want a card to drive a couple of monitors, or you need the power of the 9800 to play games and gain Core Image support etc.
I hope this helps.

• Connecting Studio Display 15" to G4 (Sawtooth)?

Hello, I want to give my son my old G4 350mhz AGB and just bought a 15" Studio Display (ADC) and now discover that my G4's video card only has a vga and a dvi-d port. Any suggestions how to make this work? Thanks in advance.
MacBook 2Ghz, Black, 512MB RAM Mac OS X (10.4.7)

Hi
You need to use a DVI to ADC adapter. They're available from Apple or Dr. Bott. The ADC connector was introduced with the Gigabit Ethernet G4s and requires an extra power connector on the logic board just above the standard AGP slot. The Sawtooth models lack this, hence the power has to be supplied externally via an adapter. Unfortunately they're fairly expensive as the adapter includes the power supply.
http://www.drbott.com/prod/db.lasso?name=DVIator
http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObjects/germanstore.woa/wa/RSLID?mco=6C04E07A&np lm=M8661
I'm not sure whether the above link will time out, but you can search the German online Apple store for DVI ADC adapter.

• Tree component children displays [Object, Object] need help displaying the names :)

hey guys... i've run into yet another problem...
i have a tree component that gets its data from a httpservice.. xml file.
i then pasrse thru the recieved xml to create a dataprovider for the tree component. the code for that is below...
<mx:Tree id="tree" dataProvider="{treeData2}" showRoot="false" width="50%" height="100%" />
[Bindable] public var treeData2:ArrayCollection = new ArrayCollection;
[Bindable] public var treeData:Object;
public var resultArr:Object;
public function initNavTab():void{
var navService:HTTPService = new HTTPService();
navService.url = "http://www.apxalarm.com/pages/getnav";
navService.method = "POST";
navService.useProxy = false;
navService.resultFormat = "e4x";
//navService.resultFormat = "array";
navService.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, returnNavData);
navService.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT, navDataFault);
navService.send();
public function returnNavData(event:ResultEvent):void{
navData = event.result;
//resultArr = event.result;
Alert.show("load complete");
tree_labelFunc(navData);
public function navDataFault(event:FaultEvent):void{
Alert.show(event.fault.faultDetail);
public function tree_labelFunc(item:Object):void{
var node:XML = XML(item);
var nav:XMLList = new XMLList();
nav = node.sections;
var i:Number = 0;
for each (var section:XML in nav.section){
var obj:Object = new Object();

obj.children.addItem([{label: nav1.name}]);
treeData2.addItem(obj);
the tree_labelFunc parces thru the xml and creates the appropriate structure i need to be displayed in the tree component... but unfortunately the children of the tree component only shows [Object, Object]
can someone show me how to display the labels instead of the Object???

• CEP with inbound JMS Adapter

Problem: The inbound adapter is not triggered at all.
I have an EPN with an inbound JMS adapter listening to a JMS Queue hosted in my 11g Jdev SOA Suite. The queue is populated from a SOA composite. I can see the messages in the queue and my CEP application is deployed succesfully, but my JMS Adapter doesn't get any.
Here's the relevant section from EPN xml file:
{color:#3366ff}<bean id="OrderConverter" class="agb.foc.order.OrderMessageConverter"/>
<wlevs:adapter id="OrderIn" provider="jms-inbound">
<wlevs:instance-property name="converterBean" ref="OrderConverter"/>
</wlevs:adapter>
{color}
Here's my jms-adapter xml file:
{color:#3366ff}<jms-adapter>
<name>OrderIn</name>
<jndi-provider-url>t3://localhost:7001</jndi-provider-url>
<connection-jndi-name>weblogic/jms/ConnectionFactory</connection-jndi-name>
<destination-jndi-name>agb/jms/TestQueue</destination-jndi-name>
<user>weblogic</user>
<password>weblogic</password>
<concurrent-consumers>1</concurrent-consumers>
<session-transacted>false</session-transacted>
</jms-adapter>{color}
And the queue details from the weblogic admin console:
{color:#3366ff}Name: AgbTestQueue
Type: Queue
JNDI Name: agb/jms/TestQueue{color}
Note: I'm using CEP 10gR3 with Eclipse IDE and 11g Jdeveloper SOA suite internal release which comes after TP4.
Thanks in advance
Alosh

formatting

UPDATE:
If I send the messages via a standalone java client, CEP is accepting them.
The difference I see in both the messages is
{color:#c0c0c0}SOA messages arrive in the queue with JMSXDeliveryCount property set to 1, while standalone client messages arrive in the queue with JMSXDeliveryCount set to 0.
{color}
{color:#c0c0c0}
Why does the messages from SOA composite arrive with JMSXDeliveryCount set to 1? Why does that prevent CEP from receiving them?{color}
EDIT Again: The messages look identical from the admin console. The JMSXDeliveryCount goes up because the delivery to CEP fails and it could be a red herring.
If I export the messages from SOA Composite to a file and import them back, CEP picks them up.
Help!

• Broken Buttons in CC

I have a UI that I have built using the sprite technique. It moves the image up and down inside the window on button click. it works fine up until cc. Its weird because When I click in some of the other fields the buttons eventually change to what was pressed. If I had to guess I would say it maybe the structure of the way this is written but I am not sure. It may not be fixable at all. The script is big so I am just going to post part of it. If anyone is haveing similar problems please share.

I tried using the resizing function you described but I am having mixed results it doesn't work on the first click and sometimes has to be clicked several times before it changes. I will post what I have to date.

• Eigene Webfonts in Adobe Muse?

Hi Leute,

MfG
