Agent Desktop Recording and Silent Monitoring with IP Communicator.

Reading through the forums I have seen several posts which make me think this should work, but I can't seem to get silent monitoring or recording using the agent desktop to work when the agent is connected through IP communicator.   Currently I have help desk agents using extension mobility to log into 7962s that are connected to thier desktops running agent desktop connecting to UCCX 7.01.  Silent monitoring and recording work fine with thier hard phones. When I install IP communicator on the PC and log into it using EM, the agent desktop takes control of the IPC just fine and will distribute calls to it, but my recordings are blank and silent monitoring from an supervisor station fails to initialize.  Is there something I am missing in the configuration that is special when using IPC instead of a hard phone?  Thanks in advance.

Couple of things I've learned about the CIPC and monitoring/recording:
No named devices.  Use the SEP + Mac Address of the local Ethernet interface.
Ensure the Ethernet interface can be put into permiscuous mode.
Ensure you are NOT using a shared line appearance for the IPCC Extension.
If you are using CAD to do the monitoring/recording, launch the CIPC before you launch CAD
If you are using SPAN, ensure the CIPC RTP traffic will traverse the network where the SPAN interface is located.
If you are calling phone-to-phone, know that the CIPC will attempt to negoitiate G.722.  UCCX cannot monitor/record G.722.  Set the region or call to the PSTN where you can guarantee a G.711 or G.729 call.

  • How do we permit a trainee to sit together with a CSR and silent monitor?

    We are using a Cisco 7940 series phone.  I have two new hire CSR's coming soon.  I want them to be able to sit with an experienced CSR and silent monitor calls as they are taken, without using a speaker.  I can't find the solution to this anywhere.  Surely I'm not the first manager to want to do this!  Help!!!!!

    UPDATE:
    Our headsets are Plantronics, Model CS55.  They will  not sync up to one base station.  A "headset training adaptor" can be purchased, part# 03929-63, for $39.95, from several sources.  The adaptor is nothing more than the  "Y" adaptor I just purchased from Radio Shack.  However, it does have a mute button for each user.  Our headsets have mute buttons but, they beep every 15 seconds when on mute.
    I don't think the cost will put us out of business and sounds like the better answer.  I'm the newbie at this organization and am a little amazed they've trained using open speakers all this time.

  • Access Web Database - Select record and make report with all associated records

    Hey everyone,
    Right now I'm in the middle of trying to convert an Access client database to be web compatible and I'm running into some problems. For this question, I think I may need to explain a little bit about the database:
    The database I'm making is designed to store information about music rights for different songs. The users can input information about writers, producers, organizations, properties, businesses - which is stored all in different related tables. Then, when a
    user inputs a song, they choose which writers, produces, organizations, etc. are affiliated with that song.
    What I'm trying to do is make a report where you can choose a writer from the list of all the writers and then produce a report with all of the songs by that writer.
    I was able to do this in the Access client by making a report that, when opened would trigger (using the On Open event) a form to open where you would choose a writer from a combo box and then click a button. When the button was clicked, it would use the value
    in the combo box in a query, which would find all of the songs by that writer and then open up the report which would have the writer and all of their songs on it.
    Because web reports don't have many event options and web queries are very limited, I have not found a way to make this report.
    Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

  • Is it possible to output to a projector and a monitor with Keynote?

    Hi, I am looking to set up my Macbook Pro for a presentation, I have hooked up two extra output displays - a projector through the DVI for the main presentation and a monitor with an Iogear USB - VGA connector on stage for the speakers notes. The Macbook will be side stage. Is it possible in Keynote to display the main presentation on the projector and the speakers notes to the monitor? I have tried mirroring the laptop to the monitor but this has caused problems with it only working when the projector is designated the home screen (with the dock) meaning people will see what is going on through the projector. When the laptop is the home screen and keynote is started a message appears saying there's not enought virtual memory. Is there anyway around this?

    This is not possible with a mini.

  • Cisco Unified WFO - Call Recording and Quality Management with Extension Mobility agents

    Hi All,
    We're considering Cisco Unified WFO - Call Recording and Quality Management for a customer running UCCX 8.0, agents on multiple WAN sites, all agents using extension mobility.
    The documentation I've been able to find describes three different recording methods:
    Using Desktop Recording service (Endpoint) to record from an agent’s desktop.
    Server Recording - Uses SPAN (not so good for remote sites)
    Network Recording - Uses CUCM recording service / SIP trunk / phone's built in bridge.
    Network recording or Desktop recording should be suitable for the customer but it seems that Extension mobility is not supported.  Extension Mobility is not mentioned in the 8.5 installation guide, it is mentioned as ‘not supported’ in the 8.0 guide as follows:
    'Server Recording and Network Recording have the following limitations:
    • Extension mobility is not supported.'
    Neither version's documentation specifically mention extension mobility in relation to the desktop recording method, though I realise this is a similar approach to the 'server recording' method.
    So the question I have is:  Is extension mobility supported in any way on version 8.0, or version 8.5 for recording?  And if so which recording method(s) are supported?
    Thanks,
    Jonathan

    Hi,
    I had more luck asking questions over at the Calabrio forum - they make the software and Cisco re-brand a version of it - there is some good info on their portal (http://portal.calabrio.com), you have to register but it's fairly painless.  The answer I got was:
    "QM Desktop recording has always supported extention mobility as it determines the recorded user by the desktop user's login. Extention mobility was not supported for Server and Network recording until the Calabrio QM 8.6.2 release in April 2011 and will be added to Cisco QM starting with QM 8.5.2 in June 2011"

  • Media Sense and Silent monitoring

    Hi,
    Is silent monitoring isn't available now for UCCX 10.5 and we should order media sense for recoding or still uccx include silent monitoring ?
    If still included. What is encourage me to use media sense ? I mean what is the benefits for media sense over silent monitoring.
    Also can I use QM and AQM with media sense ? or it is used only by CR ?
    Final question: Can I use media sense or CR as a recording solution for CUCM to record all calls or for on demand recording ?
    Thanks

    any idea for the above ?

  • Record and not monitor

    When recording how can I record, but not monitor all tracks. For instance I want to be able to hear the Guitar and bass, but not the drums while recording. I'm using Alesis IO|26 FireWire.
    Thanks

    The mute button did the trick. I wasn't sure if I muted an input or channel if it would still record. We had our small group together and I didn't have a lot of time to play around with it. The drums were just too loud and we didn't want to hear them while recording. The hardware monitoring is a good idea to. I haven't even looked at it yet, but when not recording I think it would be a lot easier to use that then dealing with logic.
    Thanks for the help

  • Desktop Pictures and Dual Monitors

    I have a "stock" 1.6 GHz G5 with 1 GB factory RAM running OS 10.4.3. I have two monitors hooked up to the factory video card, one a Sony CRT Multiscan G500 and the other a Dell LCD (1680 x 1050). When I initially hooked up my new Dell LCD, I had two different desktop pictures, one for the CRT and one for the LCD. This was kind of nice! However, after a restart, I now have the same desktop picture on both monitors. Any suggestions as to how I may customize my desktops, with one set of pictures for the CRT and another for the LCD??? The computer guys here at work say it can be done but don't now how. Thank you!

    I have three monitors and run different pictures on all three. Go to Preferences, desktop & screen savers. You can select a folder of pictures or one picture.

  • Viewing firewire external device and VGA monitor with mirroring off

    My mac laptop is connected to an external monitor via the VGA port and I keep mirroring off to maximize display space. When using FCP I want to run firewire out to a professional DVcam deck for both capture, and to view the timeline on an external monitor that I see by using 'RCA monitor out' on the DVcam deck to the monitor. However, as soon as I turn mirroring off, the deck no longer sees the firewire. How can I see the firewire out and the VGA display monitor when mirroring is off. thanks

    Is the ADVC powered? When you connect firewire to the back of the unit, it gets powered by that connector, but the firewire jack on the front is only 4-pin and doesn't support power.
    If you have a 6-pin to 6-pin firewire cable, try connecting it to the back of the ADVC110 and then the front of the box should light up, indicating power.
    I'm having a similar issue. I can print to tape via the Canopus box, but I want to be able to drive a monitor with it just so I can have an NTSC monitor while I'm editing. I can't seem to make it work. Any ideas?

  • Older iPod and Viewsonic Monitor with dock

    Hello All,
    I just bought the 22" Viewsonic LCD monitor with iPod dock on it. I have an older 40gig iPod. (almost 4 years old)
    The doc sync's with my iPod and iTunes just fine, BUT it does not charge. I originally thought that it was an issue with the monitor, but after repacking and replacing it, I still have the issue on my new monitor.
    Is there some kind of charging issue with the older iPods and this dock? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
    Thank you,

    I just purchased the 22" View Sonic and my 5th Gen Video iPod won't even sync with iTunes. In fact I get an error messagage from windows saying the devices is not working.

  • UCCX 5.0 agent desktop configuration and customizations

    Hello,
    My client would like that the chat function be available so that their agents can speak to all agents even if they are on different teams. My understanding is that the chat function is only between supervisors/agents within a team.
    Would there be any way to change this?
    Thank you.

    Hi
    No - teams and CSQs are different concepts.
    Teams determine who can Supervise what - so for example, you can split up large teams so that one Sup can see half the agents that they manage directly and see the CSQs you deem are related to their role.
    CSQs control who the calls are actually routed to.
    So you can have one team (which has all Sups, all agents, and all CSQs associated to it). This means all agents can chat, and all Sups can see all agents and CSQ stats.
    You can still have two CSQs, and the calls will be sent the agents with the correct skills or resource group membership.

  • How to insert autoincrement record and query it with multiple keys

    Hi all,
    I am not familiar with BerkeyleyDB, I am now doing a project that needs to insert records and then query it out with multiple keys at later time. Since there is no field that can be distinct primary key, I want to user DbSequence as auto increment primary key to db, and set other index keys as secondary db, then using join cursor to do query with multiple keys.
    I don't know how to use DbSequence, can anyone direct me to a example of using DbSequence as auto increment primary key?
    Regards
    -Bruce

    I figured out the method to insert record with auto increment primary key. I listed the code block below:
    char m_SeqNamePositions[32] = "MyPositions";
    DbSequence *m_pSeqPositions;
    m_pDBPositions = new Db(NULL, 0);
              m_pDBPositions->open(NULL, pszFileName, szFileName, DB_BTREE, DB_CREATE, 0);          // 无数据文件
              m_pSeqPositions = new DbSequence(m_pDBPositions, 0);
              Dbt key((void *)m_SeqNamePositions, (u_int32_t)strlen(m_SeqNamePositions));
              m_pSeqPositions->open(NULL, &key, DB_CREATE);
    db_seq_t SeqNum;
         m_pSeqPositions->get(0, 1, &SeqNum, 0);
         Dbt key((void *)&SeqNum, (u_int32_t)sizeof(SeqNum));
         Dbt data(pRecord, sizeof(*pRecord));
         return m_pDBPositions->put(NULL, &key, &data, DB_NOOVERWRITE);
    m_pSeqPositions->close(0);
              m_pDBPositions->close(0);
    delete m_pSeqPositions;
    delete m_pDBPositions;
              m_pDBPositions = NULL;

  • Remote Desktop - Pinch and Zoom compatibility with Microsoft Access

    Hi guys, not sure which forum to place this into but here we go.
    We use Windows 8.1 tablets and RDP to a 2012 R2 Remote Desktop Server, we can pinch and zoom with Office 2007 Excel, Word without issues.
    I would like to know if there is a list of programs that's compatible with pinch and zoom because it looks to me like Microsoft Access (2007 version) isn't compatible with pinch and zoom but I need proof for my IT manager.
    Can you tell me if I should be able to pinch and zoom a database windows within MS Access?

    Hi,
    As per my research there is no such description whether which program compatible with pinch and zoom but still as this seems more relate to tablet question. You can ask your comment over there for more perfect answering.

  • Mixing VGA and DVI monitors with 5770

    Hi everyone,
    I've seen the Apple articles and the forum posts about this, but before I need to check my configuration will work before it has to be used on a show at work (the MP is running screens in a venue). I've seen lots of scenarios with people using all DVI monitors or all VGA, but can't find any examples where they are mixed.
    Here is my proposed setup:
    DVI output - 800 x 600 - First device (DVI input only)
    Mini Display Port 1 - also 800 x 600 - Second device (DVI/VGA input but strongly prefer to use DVI) via Mini Display Port -> DVI adapter (passive?)
    Mini Display Port 2 - 1376 x 7?? - Monitor running the UI (VGA input) via Mini Display Port -> VGA adapter (active?)
    My worry is that there is only one active adapter in the system?
    If this won't work, I have two backup plans, which I would also like to know if it will work or not, please. One of the DVI devices has a buffered DVI link out, so I could use that to feed the other DVI device.
    So Backup plan 1:
    DVI output - 800 x 600 - DVI in of first device
    Mini Display Port 1 - 1376 x 7?? - Monitor running the UI (VGA input) via Mini Display Port -> VGA adapter (active?)
    MDP 2 not used.
    Backup plan 2:
    DVI output - 800 x 600 - DVI in of first device
    Mini Display Port 1 - also 800 x 600 - Second device, VGA input via Mini Display Port -> VGA adapter
    Mini Display Port 2 - 1376 x 7?? - Monitor running the UI (VGA input) via Mini Display Port -> VGA adapter
    Phew, sorry for the essay everyone. Been a long day of trying to research all of this...
    Thanks in advance.

    Obviously backup plan 1 is no problem with only two monitors connected.
    You have a relatively easy set of conditions.  Two of your monitors are single link DVI (resolutions less than 1920 x 1200).  One is vga.  So a mini-displayport (mDP) to VGA counts as one active adapter and all you need is a a mini-displayport to single linke DVI active adapter for one of the others.
    If you look at AMD Eyefinity Validated Dongles chart you would find that a Accell B087B-006B qualifies as an mini-displayport to single link DVI active adapter.
    So a possible setup would be:
    DVI --> 800 x 600 DVI display #1
    mDP --> B087B-006B --> 800 x 600 DVI display #2
    mDP --> VGA adapter --> 1376 x 7?? display #3
