Agent installation stuck on initial stage

The agent never get installed successfully. It is on initial status forever during installation. After reboot, the agent service does not start. Anyone see this
problem.

More information:
It also has Zenworks 7 agent installed. I did a further test as below
1. upgrade installer to 4.5.6001.22159
2. install zcm11 agent, it is on initial stage forever.
3. re-boot the machine. zenworks agent service did not start, but
Novell application launch service(a zenworks 7 service I think) did.
However the Novell Application Launch service entry has been removed
(I think it is done by zcm agent after reboot, but the service has
already started)
4. manual start the zcm zenworks agent service, it works fine.
5. re-boot again, agent service start automatically.
Does anyone know how to log the installation process?

    After spending another two days on pinning down the iTunes 10.5 blank store page problem, here's the solution to be found: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3372617?start=0&tstart=0
    Look out for "japiohelp".
    In short:
    a) press Windows key + "R", enter "cmd", and press Ctrl+Shift+Enter (= runs as admin)
    b) enter "netsh winsock reset" and pres enter
    c) reboot the computer
    and Bob's your uncle.

  • Solaris 8 Intel Installation - stuck at initial network setup

    We installed Solaris 8 Intel (Europe/ger) on a PIII and are stuck in the
    network config. It asks for systemname, ip,subnet, domain, dns.. (our settings are ok for sure)
    but when whe click the confirm-button it reads some error message
    (translated):
    'Error during system configuration. Go back and check your settings'
    An interesting fact:
    The net seems to work, the machine's got its ip and we can ping it from outside.
    WE JUST CAN'T FINISH THE SETUP TOOL (Interactive Install).
    What we already did is configure the gatway in etc/defaultrouter, and
    with route add default. The router is in the same network, and it's ok.

  • Installation - stuck on initializing

    Can't seem to get it to install, get as far as 'initializing installer' but progress bar just sticks there. Have tried restarting computer and trying again. Doesn't even let me cancel it, becomes non-responsive?

    Sorry you are having problems. Is this on mac or windows? Is it downloading from creative cloud correctly or is it not even getting that far? Are you using the latest version of the creative cloud app. It should be Version 1.7.1.418 released on 7/24/2014. Are you able to install other apps from the creative cloud app?

  • Stuck at Initial stage CISCO pix 515e

    I have a new pix 515e for Home pratice.
    1. I couldnt telnet the switch after configuring. should i have to use cross cable or not to connect PC-PIX? (as new switches and routers run through straight cable). more importantly i couldnt even ping the inside ip which is telnet and ssh enabled.
    2.  Recieveing the following after executing each and every command on global mode.

  • It is stuck on Initializing Installer???

    I am on PC and when I double click the icon to install I the green bar moves a little but stops after about 20 seconds and it is stuck on initializing installer. Tried restarting and re downloading nothing helped.

  • I have a 2008 iMac 21.5" 10.6.8 Snow Leopard with 4.1.3 VMWare and windows 7.Mountain Lion initially refused to down load as I had back up on the HD. this was removed and installation was accepted but froze in the initial stages with 33 mins to go.

    I have a 2008 iMac 21.5" using 10.6.8 Snow Leopard with VM Ware 4.1.3 supporting Windows 7. Initially ML OSX refused to install due to Back up on HD which I removed to trash.It then proceeded but froze up in the initial stages with 33 mins remaining. I was lucky enough to quit and restart using 10.6.8. With all the problems on this chat line, it appears it may be best to leave Mountain Lion well alone, and cut losses rather than tempt fate.Has anybody anything positive to say or help with?

    If you performed a clean install, try again and see if it works out. The same thing which you faced happened to me while I was upgrading from windows 8 to 8.1, it took me a couple of tries before 8.1 would finally install.

    I have XP SP3. Intel pentium 4 2.6Ghz. 4Gb RAM. 116GB open on one HDD, 72GB open on the other.
    I'm on Admin access level.
    I'm trying to install iTunes 7.7 bundled with Quicktime 7.5.
    I emptied my temp folders.
    I shut down my antivirus and anti-spyware.
    I shut down all non-essential startup menu items.
    My folder names dont have unusual characters.
    I have uninstalled all versions of Quicktime and iTunes and iPod updaters from my machine.
    Still no luck.
    When Installing the Quicktime application, the entire machine locks up when it gets to the "Initializing Quicktime types" segment of the install.
    I have left the machine on its own for up to 14 hrs and it never does regain normal function.
    The only way to regain control is to reset or hard shutdown.
    Can someone please respond to this so my daughter can use her 2 month old graduation present?

    How about standalone downloads for each application?
    And, how about patches so the download doesnt take so long and the installation doesn't need to be so intrusive?

    I am installing the Wily Introscope Enterprise Manager and one Agent according to the "Introscope Version 7.0 Installation Guide for SAP"
    I got stuck with the installation instruction Below .. Can any one help me how to do the below
    Agent Name
    You should assign a unique name to each SAP J2EE node that is Introscope-enabled. This so-called agent name is assigned by an additional Java VM option (referred to as <agentName> below). SAP suggests the following naming convention for the agent name:
    <agentName>=SID_Product_Nodename
    Where the placeholder mean the following:
    Placeholder Explanation Example
    <b>SID</b> SystemID EPP, EPQ, EPD
    Product Identifier for product usage EP, XI, IPC
    <b>Nodename</b> J2EE node name / directory server0
    Note: It is not necessary to integrate the host name into the agent name, since the host name is assigned automatically to the agent.
    Using a unique naming convention for all agent installations helps to group agents that belong to the same installation together.

    The instructions on Introscope Installation Guide suggests a naming convention for the agent name to identify this agent in Introscope.
    The SID is the system identifier of the host, where you have installed the agent.
    The Product depends on the product installed in this server (Enterprise Portal- EP, Process Integration - XI...).
    For the Nodename, you have to specify on which node you have installed the agent. As introscope agent has to be installed on each nodes if you have several nodes on your engine.
    So if you have a J2EE engine with two servers nodes with Enterprise Portal product, and you install an agent on each nodes, you will have two agents named EPP_EP_server0 and EPP_EP_server1.

  • Pro MFP M177fw stuck on initializing

    I have a brand new Pro MFP M77fw printer and I cannot get it to move past the initializing stage of start up.

    Hi semb, I see by your post that the cyan cartridge has a distinct black line on the blue roller from one end to the other. The printer is stuck in initialization also.
    The toner needs to be replaced, there shouldn't be any black on the drum.
    It might be possibly causing issue with the printer starting up. I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
    Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
    Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
    This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation. I will send you a PM with the reset to see if that will resolve the printer stuck in initialization. I would recommend to call HP Tech Support  and inquire about a replacement toner.
