Agent is unreachable when Power On VM

Hi,
When I try to start a VM I always have the error : Agent is unreachable!
On my VM server:
service ovs-agent status
ok! process OVSPolicyServer exists.
ok! process OVSLogServer exists.
ok! process OVSMonitorServer exists.
ok! process OVSAgentServer exists.
ok! process OVSRemasterServer exists.
ok! OVSAgentServer is alive.
What is the problem?

I have look in th OVS_QUERY.LOG and have this error right after a press the Power On button:

I am getting alerts
Message=Agent is Unreachable (REASON = unable to connect to the agent at https://xxxxx.xxx.xxxx.xxxx.xx.xx:xxxx/xxx/main/ [Connection refused: connect]) but the host is reachable. Our database instance are two nodes rac in windows platform. I checked listeners and services and all are ok. However when i ran emctl status agent comand then i am getting following message.
C:\Users\xxxx>emctl status agent
Environment variable ORACLE_UNQNAME not defined. Please set ORACLE_UNQNAME to da
tabase unique name.

Ensure the ORACLE_HOME is properly set to the Agent home on the target server
Set the ORACLE_UNQNAME to your unique db name
stop and start the agent

Getting agent is unreachable

We are getting the error message often Agent is unreachable in OEM12C. I don't find any clue in the log files.
Could you please guide me how to handle this issue?

Can you please give us more details :-
a) Version of Enterprise Manager you are using.
b) When do you see agent getting into unreachable state ? Is this after some specific activity ?
c) Is it possible for you to give us more details one one such agent ? If yes, we can send you the scripts to collect the data.

I have an iMac that won't boot up. I've read all posts on this subject to no avail. When power is switched on, it chimes, Apple logo appears, spinning wheel, then loading bar starts to fill. It gets to about 25% then switches off! Help please!

You've probably tried this, but will it Safe Boot? Restart holding down the Shift key until you see the grey progress bar. You'll need to input your admin password during bootup. If it will boot you can then try to eject the disk using the various suggestions here that you haven't tried already:

You could try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. If it still shows the "connect to iTunes" screen, you can't do anything than restore it using recovery mode, explained here:

And at this point backups can't be taken anymore, sorry.

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

Agent becoming unreachable frequently

Hi,
Have noticed that one particular OEM agent becomes unreachable , and the agent status shows that the agent is up and running .
But the data collection status shows that DISABLED BY UPLOAD MANAGER.
From front end it shows that the agent is unreachable and agent is blocked.
Impact on service: status changes to status pending .

Did you check the emoms.log on the OMS host to see why the agent is blocked. try unblocking the agent and also resecure the same.

Can I pick your brains, I keep recieving the smtp alert from Grid control which says;
Agent is Unreachable (REASON = Connection refused) but the host is UP
upto 5 minutes later the smtp mail is received
Agent is Unreachable clear : <SERVER> - Agent Unreachable is cleared
I have tried the usual
$> cd $ORACLE_HOME/bin
$> emctl start agent
$> emctl status agent
$> emctl upload agent
This is successful however shortly the messages re-appear. This is on a pre-production grid control which manages 35+ databases on 25+ Hosts and the smtp errors are filling the mailbox with these messages. FYI - The Hosts causing my headache are from a 2 node RAC hosting several instances including ASM running agent version 10.2.0.4.0
The network team says they are not seeing any connection drops in their logs.
Any assistance would be appreciated

Thanks DBA05 for pointing me to look at the trc and nohup files in there I found a number of errors which I could enter into metalink and subsequently identified the Patch 7031906 which seems to have fix a number of the issues and errors identified.
Primarily
Using a 10.2.0.4 Grid Agent to monitor a 10.2.0.4 Database.
The 10.2.0.4 Agent version is certified to monitor a 10.2.0.4 Database.
The <AGENT_HOME>/sysman/log/emagent.trc shows that the health_check metric is repeatedly failing for this database :

Repeated failure while executing this metric can cause the Agent to re-start, as it runs out of file handlers at the OS level.
- The database is a 64 bit installation but emagent executable is of 32 bit installation though the
64 bit agent software is installed.
I also found these worth a check
- Re-starting the database to create this hc_<SID>.dat file does not help in resolving the Healthcheck Metrics error.
- The <DATABASE_OH>/dbs/hc_<SID>.dat file has sufficient permissions to be read by the agent

The BIOS may be set for Fast Boot. Try accessing the BIOS by depressing F2 and then powering on. Disable Fast Boot there if you like.

It's not surprising that you see about 3 GB of RAM. KB929605 applies to all 32-bit versions of Windows.

3 Beeps on POST usually indicates a memory problem.
You will need to take it in for service, as you can't even so much as re-seat the memory on an Air.

BR1310 power injector red when power is removed, and restored.

Have a set of BR1310G-A-K9-R with AIR-PWRINJ-BLR2 injectors, feed by P/N 34-1537-02 REVA0.
If 1310 connected to injector, powered by the transformer (mentioned above)when power applied, red light between power plug and coax connector is red, no lights on back of 1310. If I then disconnect the power plug from the injector, and reconnect, same light turns green.
Any suggestions? I didn't purchase the equipment, perhaps the parts listed above are not compatible?

Edit missing number.

Check for loose connections.the maximum distance between BR1310 and power injector is 100m.If this doesnt work Try to replace the power injector and see if it works.Perhaps replacing the power injector mostly would resolve.

Agent is unreachable

I'm using EM12cR2 on Solaris SPARC. EM agent 12.1.0.2.0 became to crash after 2 days network subnet was changed.
How occurs the problem:
1. I started agent
2. After few hours i got a notification
Message=Agent is Unreachable (REASON = unable to connect to http server at https://DSSINVDB01:3872/emd/main/. [peer not authenticated]). Host is unreachable (REASON = Unknown Error pinging the host of URL https://DSSINVDB01:3872/emd/main/.1).
3. After 10..30 mins i got notification that agent became up again.
4. steps 2-3 occured few times per day.
5. After few hours or days agent became unreachable for keeps and didn't restart
./emctl status agent gets the following:
Status agent Failure:unable to connect to http server at https://dssinvdb01:3872/emd/lifecycle/main/. [peer not authenticated]
Agent is Not Running
$ps -ef | grep agent

Others agents on other hosts don't have such issue.
I checked logs of EM agent and didn't found any essential errors.
I totally cleared (deinstalled & removed all files) and installed fresh agent binaries on that host. But it also didn't help.
Ntp clients configured...

On the one server with patch cluster + 10_Recomended problem was solved, but on another one - still exists.
I've got notifications

3 times per day. Agent is restarted ( emctl status agent > Started at is refreshed regulary )
This server has also Solaris 10 update 10 installed but i'm not sure that latest 10_recommended was aplied as on the first host.

Amish/ Selvars4, i have exactly the same issue. I'm sure its software issue as mine has done it also just last week. i had it happen previously about 3 months ago also. the phone would only charge via a USB from a pc or if the phone was turned off.The way i got it working last time i kept reloading previous version of the phone back up and finally it worked normally again. It was always visible to iTunes so not an issue. Last week though i have had exactly the same problem as Selvars and itunes cannot see it now, and not charge by any device except when turned off. I did a backup and iTunes sync about 2 days before this problem started. (now thinking back it was the same when i had the previous issues with charging) this time its invisible to iTunes, pc,won't charge anywhere except turned off. i left it plugged into pc where it wasn't visible and then about 40mins later it recognised it. so i did a factory restore and update then reloaded a back up. it now is visible to pc and charges from pc and power adaptor but won't charge from a dock. Strange and Frustrating. Suvzero
