Agent monitoring solution help!

Hi all
Just going to run this by you all if I may.
Is it possible to remote monitor an agent (ipcc Express Prem) whose pc is not on our network and not attached to the phone.
The phones and agent desktop sit on our network but the pc's sit on 3rd party network, this is not going to change.
All the documents I have read suggest the pc needs to be attached to the phone or use rspan vlans which is also not an option.
Think I already know the answer but are looking for inspiration.
Thanks
Rich

Only if you can SPAN the voice VLAN of that phone (no layer three hops) directly into CCX server. On the Windows versions you use the second NIC for this. With Linux, the first NIC and it must be attached to a switch that supports two-way traffic on a SPAN destination.
If SPAN isn't viable then you would need to use Cisco Quality Management or another recording product (there is a boatload of them) that supports Built In Bridge-based recording. Sometimes this is also referred to as Network Recording.

  • FCP to NTSC monitor solution help required

    Greetings,
Please forgive me, this is my first foray into owning a Mac.
I am getting started with Final Cut Pro, and am looking for a good way to capture analog sources, and output my FCP timeline to an NTSC monitor. My monitor takes RGB and component, and I would like to use one of those if possible.
I have looked into the AJA Kona cards, and they seem a little too robust for my needs. I won't be capturing HD SDI any time soon. The blackmagic solutions seemed interesting, the Decklink SP looked good, and the Intensity looked OK too, but I haven't seen too much talk on them. Are their any other solutions people are using to monitor their timelines? Currently I am just working with plain old DV.
Thanks so much for your advice,
    David

The Intensity Pro may be just right for you with your Mac Pro. Very reasonably priced. I have the HDMI only Intensity card and it is nice. Not sure of all connections packaged with the Pro model, but good stuff. Intel units only for this product.
AJA is an awesome company and great products. I have the LHe and the tech support is the best. Like anything you do get what you pay for.
    Good Luck

  • Integrating third party monitoring solutions to sap solution manager

    Hello, All.
We do need to integrate our own monitoring solution to SAP Solution Manager. Can you please let us know about the steps that need to be carried to achieve the same.
    Thank you.
    Thanks,
    Prasanna.

    Hi Prasanna,
Since the solman reload monitoring data in CCMS, you need to make sure that your CCMS can monitor the third party software/hardware via CCMS agent.
I suggest you to check the ADM106 training documents for CCMS configuration.

  • Configuring New HD Edit Suite - NEED MONITORING SOLUTION

I am configuring a second HD edit suite for my post production
facility, and I need some monitoring / capture card suggestions. I
work mostly with Varicam and HVX200 footage using DVCProHD 24p.
I will first give the specs for my original suite:
    Dual 2.5ghz G5
Final Cut Studio 1 (upgrade to 2 when 2nd suite is live)
    2 x Samsung Syncmaster 204b Monitors
    4gb RAM
    Blackmagic HD Pro 4:4:4 PCI-X
Sonnet Tempo X4P eSATA Host Controller
    External SATA Storage
Sony PVM-1354Q Broadcast Monitor w/ SDI
AJA HDP - HD-SDI to DVI Converter
    Dell 2407WDP for HD Monitoring
    Panasonic AJ-HD1400 Deck
Here is what I have so far for the second suite:
    Mac Pro Dual 2.66ghz
    Final Cut Studio 2
    13gb RAM
    Nvidia Quadro FX4500
Sonnet Tempo E4P eSATA Host Controller
I need help with the monitoring solution. I would like to monitor HD
and SD simultaneously. I have read many posts and reviews for many
different cards. I am torn between these two solutions:
    - Aja Kona LHe with a Dell 24" or Apple Cinema Display 23" LCD monitor
    and Sony PVM-1354Q
    - Matrox MXO with Apple Cinema Display and the Sony PVM-1354Q
I know that Matrox is monitoring only, but my workflow generally uses
firewire as the means for Capture. All tape laybacks can be done in
the second suite using the Blackmagic HD Pro card. I am looking for
the most cost effective AND true color grading solution. Although both
the Sony broadcast monitor will be used for all color grading, I would
like to be able to rely on the HD monitor display to be as close as
    possible to the CRT monitor.
I would also like to hear what solutions others are using and are happy with.
    Thanks in advance.

Sorry Elastic, but Zeb and I are good friends and drinking buddies. He knows about the MXO. He is just an ivory tower elitist who likes to rip into me any chance he gets. Which is fine...keeps me on my toes.
The signal coming out of the DVI port is a full YUV signal...what you need for broadcast. Typically when that gets sent to a Dell or ACD or other LCD monitor, the monitor converts that into an RBG signal so that it can display it with it's inner workings. The MXO extracts the YUV signal...plus audio, plus TC...and converts it internally so that the signal reaching the Apple or Dell display is a much better converted signal. MUCH cleaner.
As good as an HD CRT? No...but close. On par with other HD LCDs, that's for sure. I have seen it up against the Panasonic 1700 HD LCD.
Take what Zeb says with a grain of salt. He hates his job...and hates people in general.

  • Monitoring solutions

    Hi everyone,
Currently we cut and finish on 27" Apple Cinema Displays and headphones/Roland MA-8 speakers. It's not an ideal setup but I know the equipment pretty well, have a background in colour grading and rarely get surprised by what I see of our product out in the wild. Plus 95% of our work these days is web only. But I'm exploring upgrading the setup to better monitor what we're outputting.
The last 'proper' suite I ran was kitted out with a Blackmagic capture card, 50" Panasonic professional plasma display, Blackmagic Ultrascope running on a separate PC and a $20k broadcast monitor. Plus some Roland speakers. It was a brilliant setup but would be total overkill for my current suite.
What would people recommend for a simple but reasonably colour-accurate monitoring solution? I'd like to monitor the Pr and AE output from two suites, a 2011 Mac Pro and a 2014 iMac. I'm thinking a Blackmagic Intensity for Thunderbolt that bounced between the two machines and a 50" Panasonic IPS flatscreen. (I've always found Panasonic screens the easiest to accurate calibrate.) Alternatively a 4k TV and Intensity Pro for the Mac Pro and the Thunderbolt Intensity for the iMac to future proof the setup, although it'll be some time before we master (or even shoot) in HD. The current speakers are probably okay for now. We don't interact with any grading houses so there's no baseline calibration I'd be aiming for.
Any other recommendations? Flaws in my logic? Cheers!

  • API for Central Monitoring/Solution Manager

I am new to SAP.  I have been asked to investigate writing a .Net application which can obtain and process information that would be manually viewed using Centrol Monitoring / Solution Manager.  I have been searching and haven't found the appropriate documentation.  I assume that a .Net client can act as a WCF client.  Does such a programmatic interface exist?  Where can I find documentation on the API?  A typical kind of information that we want to retrieve is number of Logged On Users.

    dovdov2,
are you saying that when you connect your MacBook Pro to a monitor, your Internet connection slows down, but when you disconnect the monitor, it speeds up again, and that this is reproducible from one day to another?
Does this happen both under OS X and under Windows 7, or only under one of them?
How are you currently connecting your MacBook Pro to your monitor?

    Hi Tony,
This is a known issue/bug in UCCX 8.5.1 base release with voip monitoring service CSCto58810- Slow CAD Agent login process. Consider upgrading to 8.5.1 SU1 or 8.5.1 SU2 for this bug and also for other bugs fixed in SU1 and SU2. Please refer to release notes for these versions.

There really isn't any workaround to the cost. You can't get the parts needed to fix it yourself. Only Apple has those parts and they do not sell them to end users.
Sure you could take it apart and clean everything and the screen might start working again but then it might not. Depending on what cause it to stop working in the first place. Like something got shorted out.

  • Has anyone successfully used Oracle EM as a Monitoring Solution??

    Hi All,
This might be a wrong place to post ;) but anyways. My question is can we use Oracle EM as a Monitoring Solution? If so has anyone successfully used it?
I have used Oracle EM over the years for mostly managing Databases. Eventually with the Middleware Support I have tried to use it to monitor Middleware Servers, earlier OC4J and recently WebLogic Servers. I however find that most people when talk about EM they think of it as a Business Transaction Monitoring Solution. (Lets keep BTM out for a while I know about that plugin but it is another full set of questions)
Mostly I get questions as to can we "drill down the transactions" and see who initiated it and "what is being processed at this moment". Here transaction means Business Transaction as opposed "this thread is executing this particular piece of code". People want to know this piece of code is being executed "for Purchase Order XYZ" as opposed to just knowing that purchase order is being processed. If you know what i mean.
No doubt OEM is great tool for an Admin but does it really sell itself as a monitoring solution? I have not seen a successful implementation so far with OEM being a central monitoring solution. If anyone has any experiences to share it would be great.

I tried to look at that option. It is available only for the Database. I was looking something more towards say the web Services hosted or the Web Applications hosted on Weblogic instances. Can we find say the Web Service call which had the Purchase Order XYZ in its request, etc.
