Agent proxy not enabled

The agent was not able to submit data on behalf of another computer because agent proxy is not enabled. Details:Health service ( OM.test.local ) should not generate data about this managed object ( Microsoft.SQLServer.2012.ReportingServices.DeploymentSeed

You can modify a hidden config setting via powershell and never have to worry about this again.  Most agents need proxy enabled, so imho I would just config this to be auto enabled on all agents going forward with scom posh:
set-defaultsetting '-name HealthServiceProxyingEnabled ' -value True

I am seeing Critical Severity alerts on my SCOM 2012 Server stating:
"The agent was not able to submit data on behalf of another computer because agent proxy is not enabled. Details:Health service ( 0C43A2D6-628F-D150-9553-8EABFECA600C ) should not generate data about this managed object ( 716D31EF-F34C-A4E3-1A16-3B8B75E85C0D
I have about 8 servers with this error. All of which have had Proxy turned on in SCOM ( Administration -> Agent Managed -> <agents in question> -> Properties -> Security Tab -> Checked "Allow this agent to act as a proxy...".
All of these servers are on the same domain as the SCOM server (we only have 1 domain).
    Thanks,

For what it's worth I'm experiencing this issue. I've closed out the alerts and watched them pop back up later.

    Hello,
The "Discovery Data Submission Failure" rules are enabled (as it is by default) but I am not getting any alert as stated by the article:
    http://jama00.wordpress.com/2010/01/21/setting-agent-proxying/
    Alert: Health Service (...) should not operate data about this managed type {...}
I have several Clusters, several Citrix Servers etc... were the Agent do not have the Proxy enabled and I was expecting this alert to come..
Any Health Explorer, View(s) to check if it is properly enabled, ?
Any idea why I am not receiving anything?

  • Can not use stored windows credential when running merge agent with agent proxy

I have an account ACCT_A and create a windows credential
CRED_B target to server DISTRIBUTOR_1 (with cmdkey).
And I setup a pull subscription to DISTRIBUTOR_1 and set merge agent run under agent proxy with credential of account
ACCT_A (The sql server agent is running as LocalSystem or Network Service). Then the merge agent job will failed and complain "Failed to connect to distributor
    DISTRIBUTOR_1".
However if I change the sql server agent to run as ACCT_A and let merge agent job run as SQL Server Agent Service Account it will successfully connect to distributor
DISTRIBUTOR_1 with credential CRED_B, with other setting unchanged.
    Here are the questions:
Is it possible to grant other accounts to access one's stored windows credential in Credential Manager?
I suppose merge agent job will get full security context of ACCT_A when it runs under agent proxy with credential of ACCT_A and should be able to access stored credential CRED_B and
successfully connect to DISTRIBUTOR_1. But nowCRED_B seems can not be accessed by merge agent. Could somebody explain what's the problem here?

    Hello,

  • Agent "User" is not enabled for enterprise voice. Only Enterprise Voice users can receive Response Group calls.

I have standard edition Lync 2013 deployed. I have also enabled enterprise Voice for all my users.
When I try to create a response group under group tab, I add the enterprise voice enabled users to the group and click on commit I get this warning:
Agent "User" is not enabled for enterprise voice. Only Enterprise Voice users can receive Response Group calls.
This is clearly a glitch since the users are already enabled for enterprise voice. Has anyone come across this issue before?
    Thanks

Have you tried restarting the Response Group service? Are you able to add any EV enabled users to this RGS?

    Hi Kanchan,
So on each computer, you create a local user account that is a member of the Administrators group, and use the same account and password on each machine(controller and Agent), am I right?
Could you enable the detailed log message?

  • "Error [10151] The LCP Port on CCM Admin for Mobile Agent is not Configured or misconfigured"

We are running into a problem which we have noticed on UCCE 8.5 and havent seen on earlier 7.5 release.
If we setup a CTI port as agent device target and if we try to login the agent using Cisco Desktop (Not CAD, just CTI OS Client) then we get following error:
"Error [10151] The LCP Port on CCM Admin for Mobile Agent is not Configured or misconfigured"
But this wasnt the issue with 7.5 and we were able to do agent login with CTI Port as device target. We dont intend to use Mobile Agent feature but just login UCCE agent to CTI port as the device.
Do we know if this is a known issue or if something has changed between 7.x and 8.x release which could be is causing this?

So you can ping and nslookup from your ms to these agents and vice versa right?  I wouldn't do a manual install, I would push the agent from the management server.  You can uninstall the agent manually, or use cleanmom to get rid of them.  Then
do an install from the console.  When you initiate the install from the console (management server), should it run into any issues it will dump out an error which will give you an idea of where the problem may be.

  • UCCE 7.5 - CAD 7.5.1 Agent can not login

    Hi everybody,
    We're using CAD 7.5.1 for UCCE 7.5.
Currently an agent complait that she can not log in to the CAD due to the error of delay time out. I did a test with her account and here is what I found
    - CAD got stucked in the "connect to CTIOS server" step then timeout.
    - Her IP Phone is the only one that has this problem. Tested with another IP Phone and they work. Her SEP is well associated with the PG user though.
    - Randomly, CAD works. Upon reopening the CAD and trying to reconnect, it stucked again.
I include here the CAD log, hope that helps.

I suppose we have a IP Phone defect since it's the only one that had the problem.
Someone experience the same thing before? Any comment is welcome.
    Thanks,

    @Geoff:
Thank you for all the good sugesstions, however unfortunately none of them is possible to me
I would try this using the CTIOS client on your test machine, just to  eliminate CAD a little. From the trace, it doesn't appear to matter,  since you are looking at the pure CTIOS trace messages, and they are the  issue - but I like CTIOS for this sort of debugging.
--> We are using CAD and do not have CTIOS client installed. Does the soft actually come with the UCCE installation package? Can you please tell me where I can find it?
    @Geoff and Ed
Dissociate and re-associate the device with JTAPI and retest.
--> Good point, I did the same actually but the phone still didn't work.
Nevertheless, I really think we have a network problem (which was observed time to time before)
I will update this thread as soon as I can do some further tests.
    Thanks,
    Regards,

  • Event 701 - The Application Impact Telemetry (AIT) Agent is not running because AIT is disabled.

In a survey of several Windows 7 systems, in the Application-Experience Program-Telemetry log, I found daily instances of Information Event 701 "The Application Impact Telemetry (AIT) Agent is not running because AIT is disabled".  The trigger
for this event is execution of the built-in scheduled task to run Aitagent.exe daily at 02:30.
The message "AIT is disabled" is puzzling to me.
I checked participation in the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) on the idea that a setting to disable participation could translate into "AIT is disabled", but CEIP is set to Yes (participate).
I checked Windows Error Reporting settings - they are set to "Automatically check for solutions and send additional report data, if needed"
I checked the REG_DWORD value AITEnable in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\AIT is set to 0x1, which should indicate that AIT is enabled.
I would appreciate if anyone can explain where/how AIT is disabled.
    Thanks

    Arthur Xie-
Thank you for suggesting installing the
Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.6 (ACT).  This is quite an enterprise-level program (the Step-by-Step guide says "We
recommend that you collect your data from approximately 10,000
    computers")!
Anyway, installing the ACT and sending an empty data set to Microsoft worked, but did not eliminate Event 701 when the scheduled task to run AitAgent.exe executed
(as scheduled or manually) or when AitAgent.exe was run from an Administrator command prompt.
Since the scheduled task to run AitAgent.exe is part of a out-of-box installation of Windows 7, and its description states "Aggregates and uploads Application Telemetry
information if opted-in to the Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement Program", it would seem that it would run without error, at least when participation in the CEIP is enabled.

  • SQL agent proxy account for Powershell

I am trying to use a sql agent proxy account for PowerShell. Created the ad account, credential and the proxy but because the PowerShell accesses a bunch o sql servers it errors out.Even when I created a login for all the sql servers the powershell is trying
to access it still failed so next I'd need to look at what permissions the powershell ad account needs to the objects it accesses. Is this the correct approach?
What is the best way to go here and avoid using a sysadmin account to run the sql agent powershell job? Thanks!
    Paula

    Hi,
Please check the error message in job history for details of job failed.
Sysadmin is required or not depends on what you want to achieve on the SQL Server. For example, to execute sp_readerrorlog, the login must be a member of the securityadmin role and it is not required sysadmin.
It does need to create the login(proxy account) on the all the SQL Server instances.
A SQL Server Agent Proxy defines the security context under which different job steps run. The proxy contains the credentials of a Windows user account that does have access to the resources needed by the job. If you have a proxy specified in a job step, SQL
Server Agent will impersonate the proxy account and run the job step while impersonating that user account.
In order to find out the required permission, you may log in with this Windows user account(proxy credential) and run the PowerShell on the local machine and see the result. Alternately, connect in SQL Server Management Studio with this login and see what
permission is required to execute the script.
    Thanks.

Nothing seems to help. One thing I suspect is that it's actually up, but inaccessible due to the firewall in the ESX.
    Any suggestions?
    /Tomas

This is the solution to the problem. On the LabManager machine, there is a package that can be used to reinstall the agent. Do the following:
    Uploading
Open the DataStore browser for the machine thats broken (upload window). Locate the following file on the labmanager server:
    labmanager\c$\Program Files\VMware\VMware Lab Manager\Agent\agent-install.bin. Upload the file.
    Preparing for execution
The newly uploaded file is located on the ESX server, but it's not executable. Open a terminal window and execute
    cd /vmfs/volumes/your_path/
    Next, do:
    chmod 755 agent-install.bin
    Starting the installation
    Finally, execute the installation package:
    ./agent-install.bin
    This will output the following:
    verifying installer files... ok
    extracting files...done.
    running installer.
    checking for existing installation...not detected.
    starting install...
checking for running as root... ok
    checking for resolvable hostname... ok

checking for supported esx version... ok

checking for free disk space... ok
    checking for conflicting rpm... ok
checking for existing RPM directory... ok
    Installing/upgrading rpms...
Enabling firewall access for VMware Lab Manager Agent...
(A pause in output may occur if you have disabled the ESX firewall
and you are running this installer via a remote shell. If this is
the case, press enter to resume installer output)
Firewall settings updated successfully for Lab Manager access.
VMware Lab Manager Agent installation complete.
    To uninstall agent, run:
    uninstall-labmanager
    as root.

  • Wireless is not enabled

Someone plzzzzzz... help me. I've spent hours trying to set the new lela up, but I am not getting anywhere. I am trying to connect my printer and other devices wirelessly, but I can't. When I had the old advisor, everything was connected beautifully. I did a recent update to the latest lela, & now I am having connection problems.
When I go into add a device, wireless option is grayed out. I tried uninstalling & re-installing lela thinking maybe something went wrong during the install, but it did not work. Then with the suggestion of an agent I tried network magic, I am still experiencing the same issue, no wireless option. The message says that my router is not enabled for wireless. That is not true, b/c I am connected wirelessly right now through this computer. I went into the router management area online & went into the wireless tab and wireless is enabled. I even tried a disable-save- then an enable-save, still no luck. Trying to isolate the issue, I dl lela onto my other computer, & I still have the same issue.... someone pls.......... help.

I've also tried disabling my firewall & resetting my router.... I'm running out of ideas. Pls help.
