Agentca does not detecte listeners and ASM - any experiences ?
Hi all,
I run agent10g PSU2 at Solaris Sparc with os account oracle
When running agentca -d ....
it discovers neither ASM-instances nor Listeners running with os account grid.
RAC-Databases, host and database instances are discovered in a correct way.
Did You ever experience and fix it?

Hi ,
It normally happens due to permission issue when agent is installed with a different user other than database owner.
In that case you can discover them manually through the console.

I updated my iTunes to version 11.1.4.62, but it does not detect my iPhone 4s any more. I have tried the following ways but still did not work:
Rebooted the computer
Rebooted the iPhone
plugged and unplugged the USB cable multiple times and to various USB ports
Uninstalled and installed the i-Tunes
Signed out the iTunes and signed in again
my USB cable and ports are all ok
my ios version on iPhone is : 7.4.4
my laptop os is windows 8.1 and my processor is: Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2.30 GHz

Go to Windows 8.1 Control Panel.
Go to Hardware and Sound; Devices and Printers; Device Manager; Portable Devices (look for Apple IPad)
Right-click, then select properties on the menu list.
Under the "Driver" tab menu, confirm the update driver button is not greyed out. If the update driver button is grey and unselectable, you need to select and click "Change Settings" button located near the lower left corner.
Now you can click the "Driver" tab menu near the top, so you can see the "Update Driver" button.
Select "Update Driver".
Select and click "Browse my computer for driver software".
For Windows 8.1 64 bit, it should be located in the folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.
Click Next, and let the driver re-install.
iTunes 11.1.4.62 should open automatically if your iphone is connected already. -

If you have some different page, try the quick fix in Fred McD's reply.
If the sites are missing, did you use the Reset feature? That will clear the storage associated with the new tab page. I'm not sure it's possible to recover from that; you probably need to rebuild your page from scratch as you browse.
For possible future reference, here is how to access the hidden setting for the page to display on new tabs:
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''newtab''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference and enter your preferred page:
* ''Page thumbnails (default)'' => about:newtab
* ''Blank tab'' => about:blank
* ''Built-in Firefox home page'' => about:home
* ''Any other page'' => full URL to the page
Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked. Fixed?
Some gotchas:
''If Firefox won't let you edit this setting:'' you may have something called SearchProtect on your system.
''If Firefox lets you save your change but ignores it:'' one of your extensions may be overriding it. You can review, disable, and/or remove extensions on the add-ons page:

Safari 8 does not properly load and play any mp4 video
My Safari 8.0.3 on my OS X 10.10.2 does not actually load and play any MP4 video in-browser. All I see is the black loading bar.
I have not installed any video codecs on my OS X, nor have I tinkered with any QuickTime settings.Perhaps a third parrty Safari add on that was compatible with the prior version of Safari but not 5.1 that's preventing pages to render as they should.

Get a different cable from a friend or an Apple store, be sure it is an official Apple cable as many knock-offs are rejected by iOS devices.
See if a different cable works and makes the iPhone "seeable" by the charger and by iTunes.
If that does not help, take the iPhone, cable and charger to an Apple store genius bar for testing by the techs. -
ITunes V12.1.2.27 on Windows 8 does not detect iPhone 6 with IOS v8.3

It all began when I installed the latest IOS 8.3 and iTunes V12.1.2.27. iTunes simply does not detect my iPhone 6 any longer, but it does detect my old iPod mini. Everything used to be working just fine until the software update was done.
I've run thru all the steps on the Apple support page and spent over an hour on the phone with customer support. Checked the Apple mobile device driver, deinstalled iTunes, reinstalled iTunes, changed connecting cables etc etc. Nothing works!!

LESexact same issue. And I can be TOTALLY sure it is related to the update since I was at the birthday party of my little nephew taking photo and everything were just fine. Then my brother asked me if I had already updated my iPhone. I said no and then I updated it while I was still there. From the moment the phone ended the update, I ended taking photos... The update screwed the camera focus mechanism somehow. I'm trying to downgrade to 8.1.3 and see if it will be back to normal. In this case it is a software issue, otherwise it will be a hardware failure caused by the update. I'm dowloading 8.1.3 ipsw right now.

TCP Read does not detect network conncetion closed error (66)
Hi Dear all,
Instead of LAN i am using WLAN to connect PC and mobile. All communication read and write operations are performing ok. But the only problem i am facing is that once i disconnect network connection from mobile my labview TCP read operation does not detect it and only timesout at its specified interval. Although for Bluetooth network connection if i disconnect from mobile then BT read detects it as network conncetion closed by peer error (66).
Can someone help me on this.

I have not tested it but more likely than not you would get an error 59 when the network cable is unplugged. Error 66 is for when the network is still up and you attempt to communicate on an established connection that has been closed by the other side. This is not an error that you will se from a TCP read very often.

I just updated my 3GS from iOS 5.0.0 to 5.0.1
Since the update, Itunes says that no SIM card is detected, and the iPhone says that it cannot be activated. It also obviously does not detect any network.
I tried restarting the phone several times, removing the SIM card several times, but it did not change anything, the SIM is still not detected.You do not need to keep posting the same thing over and over again.

Why is it that when i connect my ipad the laptop only detects the storage and does not allow me to send any files to it?

All purchases will be tied to the account from which they were purchased.
You will have to authorize your computer for all the accounts from which music is purchased.
