Agentry Device Licensing in SMP 3.0

With the Agentry license key no longer necessary in SMP 3.0, how are the are the number of devices enforced (since Agentry used to be licensed by device)?

Agentry licensed could be by device (use to be more common) or by number of users (started using more often lately)
Agentry now inheritance the SMP licenses and doesn't request any licenses for itself.

  • No more device licenses in WPF Client

    Hi All,
I am working on SAP Service Manager 4.0 which was running perfectly in WPF client CRMSMWPF00_0-10013291.exe
But suddenly it started giving error -  "No more device licenses in WPF client" and in Agentry Server the log shows - "Device licenses limit exceeded"
I reinstalled the WPF client but the issue remains the same.
I tested the application in ATE and the application was downloaded without any issue.
Please suggest me why I am getting this issue and what should be done to solve this issue.
    Looking forward for your support
    Thanks and Regards

  • Agentry app development with SMP 3.0 SDK

    Dear All,
I am new to Agentry app development using SMP 3.0 and i have some basic knowledge on Agentry app development using Eclipse editor using Agentry Plug-in's, and after developing the app, publishing to the Agentry Server and testing the same app using Agentry ATE, but what my queries is please find the below points.
    1) In SMP 3.0 SDK, under Agentry app development what is the use of following 'a' and 'b', and give me more clarity about those 'a' and 'b'.
         a) Agentry OpenUI for iOS Setup Overview and
         b) Agentry OpenUI for Android Setup Overview
For above points please find the Agentry1.jpeg for better understand.
2)In the same SMP 3.0 SDK under Agentry app development what is the following points and give me more clarity the same below points.
        a) The Agentry SDK
         b) Agentry Device Client Branding SDK.
         c) Agentry OpenUI API
For above points please find the Agentry2.jpeg for better understand.
    3) And how to generate executable like .apk for Android client and .ipa for iOS client and .cab for Windows Mobile etc..
    Best Regards,
    Ranjith Lingala

    Ranjith,
I will do my best to answer your questions.
    1) OpenUI is a new option for Agentry applications under SMP 3.0 to allow users to extend and create their own controls for the Agentry clients.  Open UI is available for WPF, iOS and Android clients.  Using OpenUI is optional but can be used to create additional controls that do not exist in the base Agentry product (for example a slider control).  Open UI controls are created using the native language of the device so there are different setup instructions for each platform.
2a) The Agentry SDK is the Active X process that only applies to Windows Mobile clients under SMP3.0.  For the other clients it has be replaced with OpenUI.
2b)  Device branding is a process to take a generic client and apply your own icon, name, etc to it so that it is specific to your application name.  Again here the process for branding differs depending on the platform.
    2c) See #1
    3) Generating the .ipa or .apk process is part of either OpenUI or the Branding process.  You will need to follow the steps specific to which one you are doing.  There is no process for generating .cab files.  The branding for WinCE involves creation of a custom installer using NSIS scripts
With SMP 3.0 we have even more options for extending the Agentry client to provide better integration (ESRI maps via OpenUI) or additional controls to improve the user experience.
    Have fun!

  • Photoshop CC, device license, installation, activation

I subscribed  via the French Federation of Photography : a Device license for Photoshop CC.
I got through the installation. (I am administator of the team).
In the administration console, I saw the the license has been activated.
Note: All following messages are in French. I translate them.
At the first run of PS I got a popup window about "Required Connection". I press continue and surprise:
I am said that I can use Adobe Photoshop CC for 32767 days!!  (Great for a trial period!).
When I press the button "Activate now", it opens a new window for subscription.
What is my status? Can I use PS CC safely for all my subscription time (one year)?
update: I tried to run PS CC again, and now I am said I have a 30 days trial period. Of course this is not what I was expecting.!

  • CUCM 8.5 Not showing all device licenses

I noticed when adding more device licenses today that the License Unit Report is not showing the new licenses.  I can view each license file and have verified the correct MAC address, but I am 40 device licenses short of what I should have.
I have tried restarting licensing service as well as restarting CUCM completly.

A couple things I'd try would be:
    1) Check the "Call Statistics" on each phone (during a call) to confirm they think they are sending and recieving video.
    1) Is a privacy shutter closed on one end or the other? Is one side or the other muted?
    2) factory reset both of the phones...
    3) Remove both phones from UCM and reregister them.
    4) Grab a capture on a port connected to one of the phones..to see what traffic you're actually seeing
    5) Are there any firewalls/ACLs that would block the video stream?

  • Device licenses revert to trial version.  can anyone help?

my device license was working fine.  All of the sudden it went back to trial version.

    Hello, thanks for replying.
This is in reference to apps on device licensing for the education sector.  When I try to open the app, it goes to trial version and it should not be doing that as licenses are paid for.

  • Setting the "Device Name" when activating device licenses

What determines the “Device Name” in the list of activated devices in the Development Pool on the Adobe license site for device licenses? Specifically for Macs... It doesn't seem to be the "Sharing Preferences" pane...

So, figured it out by myself. It appears that the Adobe serializer uses the local Mac's hostname. You can find that out by going to the terminal and typing 'hostname'. The host name gets set initially by any domain name that is assigned to the IP. If none is, it uses the Sharing Name in the Sharing preferences pane. Regardless, you can override and change the hostname using the terminal (sudo scutil --set HostName mynewhostname.local). Deauthorize the device on the Adobe site and reauthorize and it will appear as desired. This way, you can have the machine listed on the Adobe site however you wish rather than by domain name. This is helpful if you have a long list of machines and wish to set their hostnames to their room number or location, etc.

  • Creative Cloud Device License Install Fails

I am trying to install the Creative Cloud Device License but it fails about 75% of the way through saying to contact Manufacturer. I have attached a screenshot. Not sure what to do here…...
Im running 10.7.5 and was recently running CS6.

This is how we resolved it. Used a 32GB Flash Drive formatted the drive HFS+ and then copied the PKG folder and files and then brought them to the target Mac and copied the files over and ran the PKG and Exceptions install. Everything seems to be installing fine now.

  • Device licensing:  OK for remote desktop access?

Is it permissible in device licensing of Creative Cloud to have the programs installed on a computer and then have all users access its programs via Microsoft Remote Desktop?

    Hi,
I would like to check if you need further assistance.
    Thanks.

  • (OSX) We have device licenses, but random Macs stop working and demand sign in.  Signing in allows trial activation.

    OSX 10.9.x
We have device licenses which we have deployed via Deploy Studio image, however occasionally a single Mac in a classroom will refuse to load Creative Cloud apps and demands that the user signs in with an Adobe ID.  If a valid Adobe ID is used (even the one attached to our account that was used to download the device licenses) then we get the option of activating a trial mode.
All Macs have Internet access, and CC has only been installed over the last few months.  Re-imaging resolves the problem, but is a bit overkill as a solution.
Is anyone else seeing this behaviour?

    Hi screen-name-pf ,
We need to see the PDApp.log and amt3.log file of the machine where the install is failing to tell you the reason of failure. The log file is formed at /usr/Library/Logs/PDApp.log.

  • Incorrect Deployed To count for device licensing

My Deployed To count for device licensing says 22, but I've only deployed it to 6 machines.  Is there a way to see what computers Adobe thinks are using licenses?

Did you ever get a reply or find an answer to this? I'm “missing” some licenses myself, and there is no information about this. Technical details for sysadmins are sorely lacking.

  • Per Device licenses question

    Hi,
I have a question about per Device licenses in RDS 2012.
Let say 100 licenses are added to  License Server. Issued shows 80.
When issued licenses count will reach 100. Could 20 new computers access RDS in case that 20 from initial 100 will not connected?
    Are the licenses concurrent?
    Thanks

Here is the link explaining the Revocation acton (and etc):
"After you have revoked the RDS Per Device CAL, that RDS Per Device CAL is immediately available to be issued to another client computer or device."
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/library/cc732416.aspx
extracted:A permanent RDS Per Device CAL issued by a license server is configured to automatically expire after a random period between 52 and 89 days, at which time the RDS Per
Device CAL returns to the pool of available RDS Per Device CALs on the license server.
In some circumstances, you might want or need to return an RDS Per Device CAL that has been issued back to the available pool on the license server before the automatic expiration period has been reached. For example, you might want to do this if the
client computer or device is no longer a part of your environment.
You can revoke an RDS Per Device CAL by using the Remote Desktop Licensing Manager tool.
    Important
You can only revoke an RDS Per Device CAL. You cannot revoke an RDS Per User CAL.
After you have revoked the RDS Per Device CAL, that RDS Per Device CAL is immediately available to be issued to another client computer or device. Revocation is not a substitute for ensuring that you have enough RDS Per Device CALs to support
    your environment.
You can only revoke up to twenty percent of the number of RDS Per Device CALs of a particular version installed on your license server. For example, if there are 100 Windows Server 2003 TS Per Device CALs installed on the license server, you
can only have 20 of those Windows Server 2003 TS Per Device CALs revoked at any given time. If you also have 200 Windows Server 2008 R2 RDS Per Device CALs installed on the license server, you can revoke up to 40 of those Windows
Server 2008 R2 RDS Per Device CALs in addition to the Windows Server 2003 TS Per Device CALs that you have revoked.

  • VIP device license - moving installations to new devices

I am considering purchasing two Educational CC VIP Device Licenses (as opposed to Named Licenses) for use in my computer lab.
My question is: Once I have deployed the software using the CC Packager, am I allowed to uninstall the software and move it to another device? For example, if one of my lab computers breaks down or is replace, can I move the license to a new computer, or is the device license forever tied to that computer?
It looks like this is fine for Named Licenses (since they are tied to an individual account) but It's not made clear if this is possible for Device Licenses.

Sorry if I'm being dense here.
My understanding is that the only version of Palm Desktop that will run on Vista is 6.2, so I have installed that version.
My old computer ran on an earlier version of both Windows and Palm Desktop.
When I open Palm Desktop 6.2 on the new computer and select "import", the only file types it sees are .dba and .vcal.
The datebook file from the old computer that appears (by it's last modified date) to include the latest information is a .dat file - and the version 6.2 won't see that file, so I can't (near as I can tell) import it.
Is there any option short of installing the OLD version of Palm Desktop on another computer with an earlier operating system and then using that computer to export the data into something that 6.2 can import (I'm only assuming that would work - but it seems cumbersome even if it would).
    Thanks,

  • Can you deploy device licenses using ARD?

i tried to deploy device licenses through server on mac platform but it gives me a network volume error.  What can I do?

If u just want to run the package then you can use Batch File (Keep Package in a folder) and call it by batch job.
    Follow below steps:
In any Drive Create a folder called Build or any name--> Inside that create a folder "Config" for Config files and keep your configuration files if any
in Build or any name-->Create another folder "Folde_Where_Package"
in Build or any name-->Create another folder "Logs"
in Build or any name-->Create another folder "ETL_Jobs"
Keep this in Note pad and save this by giving extension .BAT in folder ETL_Jobs
    set config1=D:\Config\Database.dtsConfig
    SET LOGFILE=..\Logs\Run_Log.txt
    dtexec  /REPORTING E /f "..\Folde_Where_Package\Pkg_Nmae1.dtsx" >> "%LOGFILE%"
    dtexec  /REPORTING E /f "..\Folde_Where_Package\Pkg_Nmae2.dtsx" >> "%LOGFILE%"
Just double click on .BAT file it will execute your packages or can call this by using windows scheduler.
you can do same thing by creating 2 separate folders for 2008 and 2012 packages and can run separately.
