Dear community,
a customer from us will use the Intermec CN51 with Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 as operation system. I only found in the white papers and in the info center that Agentry supports Windows Mobile 6.x but i can't find if the Embedded Handheld 6.5 is supportet.
The customer will use the Agentry Server 6.1.4.
Thanks,
André

Hi,
now we have the Intermec in the house and the Intermec CN51 with Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 supports the Agentry Client WinCE 6.1.4.

The following MSDN threads explain the cause of the problem and provide some guidance on how to change your application to resolve the problem:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/6cda1576-2cf7-4b2a-9e57-0c55f1c2f500/ok-button-dissapears-on-windows-mobile-65?forum=netfxcompact

Another solution, instead of changing your application, is for the user to simply press the physical Ok button on the device's keyboard (assuming that the device has an Ok button).  For example, some rugged devices such as Intermec or Motorola
have a physical keyboard with an Ok button, or another physical button can be re-mapped to act as the Ok button.  Contact your device supplier if you need to do this.

  • Can Adobe Flash Player support Microsoft Windows Embedded 8 version?

Flash Player seems still have bugs on Microsoft Windows Embedded 8.
Does any one know which flash player version is fully support WES8?

The Windows IE plugin is modified by Microsoft. Adobe writes the code, but once it goes in the browser, it's Microsoft's baby. It cannot be updated or replaced here unless you remove a specific Windows 8 update KB patch.
It IS fully supported but IE11 has been a "rolling train wreck" since it was released. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Using USB thumb drive with Parallels and Microsoft Windows XP

I installed Parallels 3.0 because I need to use a few windows applications for work. I am currently unable to find the USB thumb drive when I plug it into the USB port. It is connected and is selected, but I can't figure out how to access it. I check in "My Computer" just like I would on a PC, but the thumb drive is not listed. Any suggestions.
    Macbook with Leopard
    Thanks.

You're right, it should show up under My Computer. You may want to post your question over on the Parallels forums: http://forums.parallels.com as they're more geared toward the issue since Parallels is not an Apple product.

  • Problems with driver in microsoft windows vista

I speak of Brazil, I have a smarthfone BlackBerry 8100 and a Dell Inspiron 1525 notebook with Windows Vista 32-bit, Service Pack 1. I'm having problems with "Bluetooth peripheral device" and the solution of the problem indicates to contact with RIM to find and properly install the driver of that device. How did attempt to resolve the download of the BlackBerry Desktop Software v4.7, but said, I want to get a resolution to the problem. No more, thank you now.

    > What can we do?
Let your Cisco rep know that this is an important feature. The word I have is that stateful firewall is not in the Vista feature set for Cisco.
The readme for the Cisco VPN client 5.0 bears this out:
    Known Issues:
CSCsh02887 Vista: Stateful firewall does not start.
CSCse44616 Vista: VPN Client should not install Zone Lab Firewall on Vista platform
CSCsf07334 Vista: Stateful Firewall Not Supported on Vista VPN Client

  • Sharing the root file system with file server in windows embedded compact 7

Seems it is not practical. I actually see the share, and the top level files and folders. But I have no access right for the files.
And usb disk's mount point are not listed too. Is there any solution?

I don't recall this problem. How was the share created? Programmatically by your code? What access list did you set? Did you create NTLM users and are you connected from the remote client as one of those users?
I believe that you may have to create a separate share for alternate device mount points under the root (disks, etc.) but I think the basic operation you want should be possible.

  • Development on Windows CE, Embedded Handheld, Mobile

I have read about the Gateway productivity accelerator for Microsoft, which is an add-in to Visual Studio. There already was an add-in to Visual Studio as documented in the "SAP NetWeaver Gateway Developer Tool for Visual Studio", which had prerequisites like .Net Framework 4.0, Visual Studio 2010 and Windows XP, Vista, 7 or Windows Server.
Do any of these 2 Visual Studio add-ins facilitate Gateway/OData-related development for Windows CE, Windows Embedded Handheld or Windows Mobile operating systems? We are wondering if we could develop handheld barcode scanning applications with it.
If not, there are probably workarounds to develop with OData services, just without the Visual Studio add-ons I guess?
    Thanks!
    Florian

    Hi Florian,
both GWPAM and the previous Visual Studio add-in "SAP NetWeaver Gateway Developer Tool for Visual Studio" (which you actually should not use anymore) do not explicitly support Windows CE or Embedded Handhelds, ...
As of now the focus of GWPAM is very much on the classic Windows and "Office like" application. I am saying "as of now" because you might have heard about the next planned innovation which is planned to integrate in Windows Azure and Office 365. So we are definitely looking at other integration.
I have never tried to use GWPAM in the context of Windows CE, so I am not sure if this would work...
    Regards,
    Holger.

  • Cannot install Windows Embedded Compact, bad authorization code

Registered for Windows Embedded Compact 2013, received authorization code, downloaded installer, started installer, rejects authorization code that copied and pasted [did not type by hand]. Repeated entire process, received identical authorization code,
again rejected. What's the trick to installing Windows Embedded Compact 2013? Thanks.

Tried exact same process for Windows Embedded Compact 7 and had no difficulties. Apparently Microsoft has a problem with product keys for Windows Embedded Compact 2013. Case closed.

  • Lenovo Microsoft Windows Conversion Kit

Have just purchased nine T500 thinkpads and am in the process of building the first one. The T500's have been shipped with Vista Business, so I'm trying to roll back to Win Xp Pro.
The laptops shipped with the Lenovo Microsoft Windows Conversion Kit - disks and writtend intstructions. Herein lies the problem..........
I've changed the boot order to relfect the ATAPI CD0 and have followed all the printed instructions up to step 12; " Remove the disc when prompted. Click OK and then restart your computer. You will then be prompted for a Supplemental Recovery Disk.
I do have another disk supplied which I guess is the supplemental recovery disk, however I keep getting the message to insert a disk called "final C".The screen then changes to a process screen where I can select the location of a file and then choose what to do with it. Inserting the second CD\DVD does nothing.
I've tried the disks in differeing order and it seems that the correct order is the rescue and recovery disk first then the Product Recovery Disk second. It doesn't work the other way around as I've tried!!!!
The instructions do not make any mention of this step or this message. Because of this I've spent almost the whole day trying to find a way around this without sucess.
I really need to get this sorted and roll back to XP - as a lot of our apps just won't work with Vista at present. I also don't have an install disk for a copy of Win XP. So this conversion kit is really my only option.
I would be really grateful if anyone could help me overcome this issue or at least point me in the right direction.
    TIA.
    Solved!

London_exile wrote:  I keep getting the message to insert a disk called "final C".
That's normally associated with recovering a system from a created image. Are you booting from the boot cd and then selecting to recover to factory installation?
Or, if you only have 2 discs, when you get the message for the supplemental cd click on No and then insert the other disc you have and click on OK.
    Hope this helps

  • Microsoft DBF Drivers issue with Windows Embedded 7

Error while running application "ODBC Driver, Microsoft dBase Driver(*.dbf) no found.
Is this the bug with 32 bit of Windows please help me on it

is "Windows Data Access Components" part of your image? This is required for generic ODBC support (and also may provide drivers for some basic ODBC database types).
DBF seems to be related to FoxPro databases, check your configuration in ODBC administrator:
My "common" WES7 has a "Microsoft FoxPro VFP Driver (*.dbf)" -> VFPODBC.DLL. Is this driver present in your image (is part of the component I mentoined before)?
Next: Did you set up some data sources for such databases? Check the settings for "User DSN", "System DSM" and "File DSN" and verify them against a system that does not have this problem.

  • Windows Embedded Compact 7 - M09 2014 Update Rollup with System.Exception

    Dear all,
I applied all Updates on my BSP up to Windows Embedded Compact 7 - M09 2014 Update Rollup included.
After a Clean Sysgen I got a System.Exception in my C# application when I try to access Font Property, this Exception is't raised before applying latest update.
     at Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr(PAL_ERROR ar)
       at System.Windows.Forms.Control.get_Font()
The problem could be related to this fix inserted in the Update 39?
    Component: Dot NET CF
140930_KB3002285 - If the "Font" is specifically set on the Main form of an .NET windows application,
an exception is observed when the window/application is closed on a Windows Embedded Compact 7-based device.
Anyone have expreienced the same issue?
There is the possibility that in Update 40 this problem will be fixed?
    Thanks
    Stefano Bianconi

The Update 44 (February 2015) contains an other fix for a Font Property related Problem (http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3039843).
This may fix the problem you're seeing.
In case this does not fix the problem: If you provide me with proper repro steps (a small sample application will do) so I can try to get this problem fixed.

  • Gun-Grip Mobile Computer With Windows Embedded

I'm really not sure where else to post this question so if there is somewhere better I would be happy to be redirected. We currently have some Gun-Grip Motorola mobile devices that run Windows CE 6.0 which have been difficult in the past for our developer
to work with between Motorola's very limited support and the lack of info on the OS and the strange things that happen with the Windows mobile device sync. It currently is working to an extent but there is no way to tie the devices into Active Directory or
have much control over them (of which I am aware). We also want to do WPA2 Enterprise and I'm not sure if those can handle that with all of the certificate infrastructure required (especially since the full version of Windows XP SP3 requires a hot fix for
this I believe). Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. It would be great if there were something similar that runs Windows 7 or 8 Embedded but I'm not even aware of a CE version past 6.0 (but it doesn't really have to be CE anyway). I
don't like the idea of keeping Windows CE 6.0 in our environment as it is very limited (which I know is kind of the point) and it is technically Windows XP (which we're trying to get away from). It doesn't necessarily have to be another gun grip device but
I was just wondering what other people use in Windows Environments. The gun is being used to scan inventory and directly reference/record to a SQL Database. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

  • How to automatic start Microsoft VDI Clients on Windows Embedded Standard 7

    Greetings,
I'm deploy Microsoft VDI for my customer, I use HP Thin Clients with Windows Embedded Standard 7.
when we start the thin clients, we first open the thin client desktop, then open the RDP connetions, and input the ip address to access the virtual desktop.
I think it's very complex for the end users.
I want when we start the thin clients, it automatic connect to the VDI server, we just need to input the username and password to access the users' virtual desktops.
does anybody know how to set it, or if there are some clients tools ?
    Thanks.
    Frank@Hiweb 冯立超@瀚博资讯

    Hi,
If you work with mstsc.exe (Microsoft Remote Connection client for Windows), you can simply pre-configure a customized connection and save it as a .RDP file. Then, users can open the connection
via double clicking the .RDP file.
In addition, you can create a startup script to run the .RDP file.
    Thanks.
