Agents hanging up on customers?

Post Author: jase4now
CA Forum: Crystal Reports
Please forgive me if this is in the wrong area.
Is there a way, or a report, that can show if an agent is hanging up on callers?  I run reports for a call center that has 65+ operators.  Most of my operators average 4:40 (m:ss).  I have one operator in paticular that averages 1:30 or less!  I think he has found a way to 'work' the system.
any help is appreciated,

working the system would be one thinghow do you track details of the call? or this simply based on open and close datetime? Its kind of like tracking down ripples in a pool, you need something distinct to track it down too else you don't really have much to work with.

  • Essbase agent hang

    Hi All,
Lately we have been having issues where essbase agent gets into a unresponsive state. You cannot open the EAS console. You can log in via MaxL but you get the hour glass.
Our essbase server in on a Sun Solaris Machine. EAS is on win 2003.
Quite a few times it has been identified that the essbase port range which in our case is 32871 - 33768, one of the ports has been used by other app due to which essbase agent hangs.
Has any one faced this issue before? Is there a workaround for this issue?
    Thanks,

That is true. If you have an application that using the same port as Essbase agent, then the agent will be hung. We resolved it by making sure Essbase has exclusive port range. Hope this helps.

  • Oracle Agent hangs up

    Hi all,
Oracle runs on a UNIX machine. And it always occurs that the Oracle Agent hangs up, occupies 49% CPU and leaves themselves, only over Services to stop. No error message, anything does not come. How can I solve this problem?

  • Post call survey subflow script after agent hangs up?

    Hi,
I am trying to have the caller, whom is remaining on the line, sent to a post call survey subflow after the agent hangs up. However, the main script terminates upon the agent hanging up so the subflow script is not being called.
I have been doing a lot of searching and scratching my head and I'm leading to believe that the On Exception Goto step may work? Although, it seems that this step is intended if the caller hangs up, not the agent. Or does it matter?
I want the main script to call the subflow script seamlessly without any agent intervention (although this may have to be my last resort). Any insight?
    Thank you so very much.

Simply stated, what you are trying to do is not possible.  The reason is because when the caller is connected to an Agent, the Contact for that script (--Triggering Contact--) is not active any longer, and therefore you have no control over it.  The caller would have to land on a Trigger a second time, in order for the Contact to become active once more.
Now, let's talk about what options do exist.
    You can either:
Have the Agent send the caller to the survey trigger via transfer
Have the caller call back in to the survey trigger via verbal instructions during the initial IVR
Have the IVR dial the caller back at a later time to take the survey (could use HTTP triggers or Outbound Campaign)
This is a limitation of UCCX.  UCCE on the other hand maintains call control the entire time, so when the caller disconnects from the Agent, it can route the caller through another routing script if desred.

  • Historical Reports: Caller hang up / Agent hang up

Someone knows if it is posible to create a report per call that shows when the caller hang up and when the agent hang up?
    Thanks

    Hi
Yep - CUCM does store the detail of which end hung up in the CDR. If I recall correctly it marks a 'DisconnectCause' on either the originator or destination side (i.e. 16 for a normal call disconnect) and leaves the other side (that didn't disconnect first) as a 0.

  • ZFD agent hangs after splash screen

    I've got a maddening problem with the latest IR4 Hp1 agent. I had a
thread going on about uninstalling/reinstalling in this forum.
I have a classic example on my bench. I have 3 identical machines. I
had just "fixed" the agent by uninstalling/reinstalling. 2 of them are
now broken again. What happens is you see the splash screen, and the
zen icon in the tray has the "off line" appearance. You can't get a
menu by right clicking. Applications don't appear, nor do start menu
entries, nor does Application Explorer. Running Naldiag will cause it
    to hang in the background.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the agent fixes this, however it will
happen again. I also deleted the workstation objects in the tree just
in case and let them reregister with the new agent.
Any suggested trouble shooting tactics to try?

Have you tried back-revving the agent to see if this is a
    version specific problem?

  • Airport Base Station Agent in Windows 7 Hangs when mouting Time Capsule

Hey all, can't figure this one out.
The airport base station agent launches at start up and asks if I'd like to ignore or connect with password. When I choose connect with password the agent hangs, and either goes unresponsive or puts up a dialogue box saying "Could not connect to the disk. Make sure NetBios is enabled and try again (53)." Ususally it just goes unresponsive and I have to close it out. I did briefly have access for a coupple days mapped as "Z" and did a windows back up to it and saw it in "my computer" as drive "Z"
The airport utility itself sees and connects with the time capsule no problem to edit it's settings and so forth. The agent it seems which tries to mount the disk and map the drive with a letter seems to be failing or being blocked somehow. Antivurus software has been removed, the windows firewall ports are open both public and private for the agent AND the utility. NetBios is currently set back to "default" as changing it to "enabled" had no effect.
    Thanks for any help YO!

After setting this thing up as a disk only basically by going through the set up process, at the end, there is a dialogue box that says the time doesn't have a valid IP address. In the input field "router address", I entered 10.0.1.1 and updated settings. The status light stopped flashing amber and turned green and now windows 7 explorer can see it and access it with no problems.

  • CAD stays in talking state after hanging up a call

Hi I have the following issue
    Problem description:
After the Cisco Agent Desktop completes a call and disconnects, the Agent stays in the Talking state instead of the Ready state. The agent must manually log out and log in to go into the Ready state.
This incident most likely occurs on this occasion:
The Cisco Agent Desktop takes a call and the remote caller hangs up first. Then the Agent hangs up.
    We use:
    CUCM version 6.1.4.1000-10
    CCX 7.0
    CAD 6.6(1) Premium version
    Workstation runs Windows Vista Pro
Part of the text in the problem description was copied from this link:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/custcosw/ps1846/products_tech_note09186a00801cce5d.shtml
The problem description is an almost perfect match for what we experience, however the solution does not apply. Neither does the CUCM version.
    Anyone have an idea?
    thanks

    Hi
I've seen this before. It turned out to be a bug with the CUCM version:

  • Can anybody help with UCCE feature "Work Mode on Outgoing" in Agent Desk Settings

    Hi,
my customer wants to have a wrapup time till the agents change their state to "ready" by
    themself.
So I have configured the maximum for wrapup time 7200 sec in Agent Desk Settings.
But I have a problem with the feature "Work  Mode on Outgoing" in agent desk settings in
    ICM 7.5.5.
I think I  recognized the function of this feature. It works like that:
    - if  an agent gets a call via ICM or directly on his phone he will be set  into work mode
    - if he make a call and the called number answer  that call the agent is still on work
    mode after he hung up
    - but  if the called number doesn't answer that call and the agent hangs up his  phone he
is in ready/not ready state and that isn't the expected state.
(  you can also rebuild this when you go off hook and then on hook again)
The  problem is when the agent in state "ready" gets a call via ICM and  after he hung up
his phone he is in state "work Ready". Now he makes an  outgoing call but this call will
not be answered and if he hangs up his  phone he directly gets a new call from ICM because
    he was in "ready"  state.
Is it possible to set a registry key or do another  configuration for that feature "work
mode on outgoing" that it works for  every new call even if the call will not be answered?
    Cheers,
    Tobias

ed_umansky wrote:The proper way to make outbound calls is to first go Not Ready then make a call using the desktop software.
Agreed. In fact, with CAD and CTIOS you cannot make an outbound call when Ready.

  • UCCX Agent Desktop Auto Answering Calls

Has anyone heard of a situation where CAD is auto answering calls?  The users are reporting it sporadically only when they get a off a call and a call is waiting in queue, the call will automatically connect right after they hang up the first call.
    Sounds bizarre, I know.
Short of restarting services, i'm not sure where to go with this one.  I've had a couple clients report this issue to me.  They are running UCCX 9.0 (2) SU1
    Thanks.

We've had a similar issue.  While the agent is talking, the CAD changes state to "work" i.e. it thinks that the call has been hung up.  It then goes to "ready" while the agent is still talking.  As a result, when the agent hangs up their call, they are in "ready" state and are given the next call immediately.
You may want to check if this is the case with the agent state.
If the state changes are happening like this, check that the handset is snugly sitting on the cradle, reboot the client PC and have them log off/on the phone.
Be sure also to check the CAD agent logs.  I'm about to check ours now to see if they show anything up.

  • Agent Software gets hosed up

I'm having an issue after a call does the following.
Call comes into a script, and caller enters an extension (non-icd).
         Call is redirected to extension.
The extension is in a group of extensions that forwards to a route point then to a trigger for a script to handled missed calls.
The script sends the call to a queue.
The agent gets the call from the queue, but their agent hangs in a reserved state with the last prior calls varibles showing.
I'm seeing similar problems anytime a call comes from a script to a non icd extension and returns to a script and is sent to queue.
Does anyone know how to correct this instability from within a script?  I've tried delaying the call for longer when see it comes from the forwarding route point, but this does not appear to help.  This is annoying since the agent software has to be restarted to begin taking calls again and they have to notice that it has happened.
    Call Manager 7.1.5.10000-12
    Cisco Application Administration 7.0(1)SR05_Build504
    Thanks in advance,
    Bill

Problem is, that so much is not supported.  I believe I found a work around for this issue though.  I've changed the forwarding to only forward back to the script if the call is a forward no answer internal or external and removed all other forwards.  So now the script won't allow the redirect to send the call to them if they are not logged into a softphone.  The forward Unregistered Internal and External was causing my issue by having a route point that led back to a script.
If someone calls them directly internally they get an off the hook tone, if they are logged off.  If someone tries to transfer them a call, it does not allow it unless they are logged in.
If they are logged in and don't get the call by the RNA setting, the call gets fired into the script to go to an operator.  This looks like a new call to the system and the users extension is the original route point and scripts handle the call fine. When it was forwarding for the other reasons, the call maintained it's prior history of being thru a script and caused a problem.
I was new to scripting on the last build, but realized quickly that a script could not pass a call to another scripts trigger without causing crazy things to happen.  I now just call another script as a subflow and pass it the varibles I want to.

  • 800 My Apple hang ups?

I have tried calling apple store, 800MYAPPLE, did the IVR, and after about 2.5 minutes of holding, the call suddenly hangs up. Did it again, same thing. Are they hanging up on customers who are upset about their iPhones? I then tried it on a landline and same thing.

Maybe they better do an update to support their customers. I've heard of lines being busy, but randomly dropping while on hold? Hmmm..

  • Application and jdi/jvmti agent in single vm?

We're building a suite of monitoring tools that will help us inspect and manage our enterprise-class app. We currently have working an instrumenting interface (via mbeans) that uses javassist to instrument bytecode; this tool runs as an agent within the app's vm using the java.lang.instrument package -- no native code involved. The next aspect of the tool suite is a more sophisticated "inspector" that will offer debugging-like facilities: method tracing, local variable inspection, thread inspection, etc.
We prototyped a version using jdi and that works fine if the agent does not run in the same vm as the app. However, setting things up so that the JDI agent does run in the app's vm does not work -- the entire vm (app, agent) hang after a call to VirtualMachine.suspend().
Intuitively, I think I knew this would happen but wanted to confirm it here. I have two questions:
    1. Is it possible for a JDI-based agent to run in the same vm as a monitored app?
    2. If not (1), and we write our agent in C, will the RunAgentThread() jvmti api allow us to run the inspector in the app's vm?
    Thanks for your help.

JDI wasn't intended to be used to debug the same process in which the JDI client is running. We haven't tested that.
However, it is an interesting question and it seems that theoretically, if you are very careful, you might be able to do
    a limited amount of debugging.
I gave it a try. My test program is launched with
    java -agentlib:jdwp=transport=dt_socket,address=60000,server=y,suspend=n
The program starts a thread (named by default Thread-0) and then uses the SocketAttachingConnector
to attach to 60000. After it gets back a VirtualMachine object, it does
    VirtualMachine.allThreads()
    and prints the result:
    instance of java.lang.Thread(name='Thread-1', id=66),
instance of java.lang.Thread(name='JDI Target VM Interface', id=4),
instance of java.lang.Thread(name='JDI Internal Event Handler', id=7),
    instance of java.lang.Thread(name='Thread-0', id=69),
    instance of java.lang.Thread(name='Signal Dispatcher', id=70),
    instance of java.lang.ref.Finalizer$FinalizerThread(name='Finalizer', id=71),
    instance of java.lang.ref.Reference$ReferenceHandler(name='Reference Handler', id=72),
    instance of java.lang.Thread(name='main', id=1)
So, this method worked. It sounds like you have basically gotten this far since you said your entire
app hangs after a call to VirutalMachine.suspend(). This hang is to be expected since you are suspending
'yourself'. You have to be very careful to not do this. EG, don't set a SUSPEND_ALL breakpoint at a location
which your 'debugger' will execute. There might be other pitfalls too that make this idea impractical.
But, if you are careful, eg, restrict actions to threads in the part of your app that you want to 'monitor', you
might be able to do something useful.
Let us know how it goes.
